    We made a sparrow house for sparrow . It hatched eggs . Baby bird came from it. Everyday the sparrow fed th baby birds.
    My daughter used to keep some water n food for the sparrow in the balcony. I felt very nic to look at them chirping, n etc. But after 10 days the baby birds were not ther.
    We thought tat it might be fallen down or some prey must have eaten it.
    Bcoz we could find it. But after watching ur video one thing is cleared tat they might have fledged away.
    Hope they r safe.
    Aftr few days, we saw the bany birds flying and coming to our balcony. The mother bird gave some food using her beak. We made a video also. It was very nic moments.

    How often do they nest? I have a few nesting in my roof overhang. I need to finish putting up my soffits. Ive been waiting for the babies to fly away but today I saw a female do the mating dance again. 😩😩😩

      Hi Jodie, i think sparrows can have 2 broods. Thanks for waiting xx :)

    • @madinaraimova5800
      @madinaraimova5800 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They might nest 3-4 times a season. There’s a couple that have had their second brood on my roof.

    • @rydervanwyk
      @rydervanwyk 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, they can have 4-5 clutches in a season. they will make a nest basically anytime of the year. That’s why they are considered an invasive species in North America

      They are up in my roof edge. I need to have my soffit and fascia installed but I can’t rip out nests with babies in them. 😭😢

      @@jodiehamilton8518 Trust me, they look cute but they are not. I had house sparrows kill my chickadees that were nesting in my nesting box. You have a few options, You can take out the nest and put it on the ground and let nature take care of it. Just make sure in your country it is legal to do so. If you live in North America it is legal to trap or kill them. If you don’t have the guts or it illegal in your country, wait until the fledglings leave the nest, then you can block off the spot they were nesting. They’ll stick around awhile, but eventually they’ll give up and leave.

    Note: increase in sparrows reduces insects in crops

    • @rydervanwyk
      @rydervanwyk 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is actually false! Most sparrows don’t eat insects at all! They have very bad eyesight and are kinda “clunky” so they can’t fly the best. Most Sparrows scan the ground for seeds and eat that. So the sparrows actually will eat the crop on the farmers fields and not the insect.

    • @rydervanwyk
      @rydervanwyk 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. *House sparrows* were brought over from asian countries to North America because they thought they would eat insects that made the crop industry suffer. The *House sparrows* ended up eating all they crop in the farmers fields.
      Also, I had a pair of black capped chickadees build a nest in my nesting box. I had seen the *house sparrows* messing with the chickadee. before I know it, the Male *House sparrow* had killed both of my chickadees. I found them in my nesting box dead. I would show you a picture but I can’t on TH-cam.
      Notice *House Sparrow* throughout this paragraph, That is because house sparrows are the only invasive species of sparrows, in other words the only killer species of sparrows.

    • @rydervanwyk
      @rydervanwyk 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kaydunton2037 Don’t say “this happens a lot in nature” because it’s not supposed to. House sparrows are INVASIVE. they’re not supposed to be here. Native species of birds are declining because of house sparrows. In North America it is legal to trap and kill House sparrows except in National Parks.

    1-3 day old baby sparrows are perfect for frying. Later their biochemistry changes, they got feathers and more bad stuff in their tiny bodies, so help yourself and cook young baby snacks while they are soft and blind.

    • @TovKafur
      @TovKafur 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Phil Hughes We have to fry baby birds before they become sad and sick tho.
