How a 125 m/h (200 km/h), 9-car Super Voyager destroys the tranquility of Northallerton - Fly-by -

Except áll those 125 m/h trains that fly through Northallerton, what I love so much about the station is the tranquility in between: The birds chirping, and above all the classic music played constantly between station announcements.
These two aspects of the station however make for a extreme contrast with one another, as the music plays on and the birds keep chirping right through the upcoming storm that is any of the 125 m/h or 200 km/h services that make way through the station.
For today; one of the more spectacular ones, as the 9-car Cross Country (Super) Voyager DEMU sets come crashing down at us. The Voyager is actually one of the last full diesel powered sets to be seen flying through under the wires at Northallerton on the ECML. The set is however here to stay for a while, unlike the older HST sets still operated by XC... Enjoy those while you can, as they'll be retired in October this year!
