The animation on this channel is an excellent way to explain a complex subject, which would be hard if not impossible to ‘visualise in your mind’. I could see it applied to many other real world mechanical, technical and even physiological situations.
Lose the robot voice narrator, use a person, even if they have an accent, its was so much nicer to hear a human voice than a computer generated robot voice. Maybe that would help viewer count, I know I often drop a video if it's got a robot voice, I find them very annoying to listen too. Great animation, it clearly shows how these special switches work.
There is always the option of hiring someone on fiverr or something for the script read too if they don't feel confident to do it themselves. Script reading doesn't seem to be overly expensive on there from a quick look English script reading goes for in the region of 500 words for $10. I've only used the platform to get some voice acting roles done for a game project I was working on but it turned out to be a good way to recruit people for what were otherwise too small a role to try and rent a studio and drag people there in person. Fortunately there are plenty of people with a good audio set up that can fill those roles from home these days.

I know it's 100% more $ than a robot voice at any cost but it will improve the video immensely, elevate it to a higher quality with the viewer and probably have them come back for more. Especially with the quality of the animation combined with professional narration.

PS your original diamond is only acceptable if the angle between the two lines forming the diamond crossing is no greater than 1 in 8 or lower. Above this value you need to use a switched diamond.
Very good explanation. Very very good art and animation. When I was a kid my dad had a saw mill next to a railroad. It was a short line connection our town to the Larger Southen Pacific. It had 6 engines mostly as toys for the owner. Including two steam engines used on occasion. I used to study the diamonds and switches. There are other types than in this video but no need to cover them all. Good Job.

In generally, yes they will have. But there are high speed switch crossings with huge turn angles, so train can pass them going up to 300km/h but they are obviously expensive and very complex.

Could also mention the use of Slip Switches is for space saving. Whenever there are other options for switching, usually they are employed. One mostly sees slip switches in yards or areas surrounded by buildings/roads/platforms/bridge supports/other tracks/embankments etc etc ie where there are no other options.
We have a switch like this in Buffalo NY. We call the switch the "diamond switch" people always go on the ground at the diamond switch. You have to throw both sides of the switch, it confuses people how to line up the switch ,for there movement. I have 22 years on CSX as a conductor.

How does it take the electricity, how does it balance, how do the switches work in the single-rail double-station system. etc. In Japan, there are several types and in Germany, on the model of the Wuppertal Schwebebahn... I saw a picture a while back of an intersection in a city that had trolley tracks. There was a set of tracks for each direction of travel so eight tracks intersected, and they also had to be able to turn. I don't know that there were any diamonds but there were a heck of a lot of tracks crossing each other.
If any permanent way engineers out there can get your railway management to pay for a diamond switch these days, I hope you're suitably compensated for your advocacy skills!

The Long Island Rail Road has these at Jamaica, we call them “Puzzle Switches”.
They had a third rail at ground level when I was growing up there. People got fried every so often.
