Hi CK, im about to replace my grommets for the first time and this video is all I needed. How is the quality/durability on the powerti grommets compared to yonex's grommets. Is it worth paying more for Yonex grommet replacement kits. Would like to know your opinion. Thanks in advance.

@@falsecatalyst3936 Ahhhh, some people use a soldering iron to turn them but you can string them immediately after fitting them as long as you cut them to the right length.

Even e78 doesn't carry them anymore. So I was wondering if i could get away with using this strip. Thanks for clearing my suspicions and questions
Hi Ck, I currently have the yonex duora z strike. The 12 o'clock grommet strip is starting to wear off, and i can't find places that sell it. Do you have any suggestions on what to replaces it with and do you by any chance know somebody that sell it ?
My Astrox 100 zz makes some kind of sound near the t joint after I keep it during the practice Is that a sign of gromet deformities as there is no physical damage in the racquet!!
If you dont see any grommets broken then it should be an issue. I've found genuine Yonex racket, especially Japan made models to have rattles. Is yours a genuine one?
@@CKYew yes it's a genuine one Even I verified the product on the sunrise TNT website. Showed that my product was genuine and the only sound it makes is in the joint like as if something is inside the joint. Like a plastic wrapper sound. Anything you want to suggest??
Hi Jonathan, same technique, sharp pliers and pull. It should come out pretty easily. If not, you can twist the grommet with a flat head screwdriver before pulling it. Good luck! 👍
@@jonathanlazundin6650 Depending on your length and size of your replacement grommet. If its the right size and fits well, perfect. If its too long, make sure you cut it down so its the correct length. 👍
Not sure if you can make one at home but if you’re pushed, you can use silicone tubing which can fit through your racket grommet hole. Cut it up to size and slide it in during stringing.

Can the knot/shared hole strcth without pressing it to be wide open?
My Yonex badminton racket max tension 24lbs but if I change the grommet can it go above 24lbs? 26-28lbs?
It depends what racket it is. If its a high end model, they will be able to easily take more than 24lbs.
Does quality of grommets change the sounds of the string? Cause when i change my original grommets it sounded way muted than usual

All racket usually tend to have 60 plus grommets

@False Catalyst You can even use individual ones if the strip isn't suitable. It shouldn’t change how the racket perform. Good luck!! :)

That might be a hard fine. Try your local badminton store? You can always replace them with standard grommets though

Not sure what you meant by tilted sideways but if it was turned 90 degrees then it should be fine. Get your stringer to check, they’ll know 👌

How to measure string tension ?
I just string aerobite at 26lbs
But sounds meh...
There’s no perfect technique to measure tension after a racket is strung except tapping it against your hand or something else.
