    Monorail to Hamamatsuchō and Yamanote Line to Shibuya/Shinjuku etc is covered by the JR Pass

      you could also catch Monorail to Tennozu-Isle (1 stop before Hamamatsucho) and change for the Rinkai/Saikyo line towards Shinjuku/Ikebukuro if you have JR East Passes. Its slightly quicker as Saikyo line runs express in Western Tokyo

  • @amyr3285

    So, if you have a knee injury do you recommend a limosine bus from Haneda airport to get to your hotel? I don't mind the time to get there, because I know other people will be taking this bus to their hotels as well, so there will be a lot of stops in between. I need to get to Tokyo Station from haneda airport, or to my hotel that is close to it.

    • @AikoTachibana
      @AikoTachibana ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, if you have checked bags, I highly reccomend the airport limousine bus instead of taking public transportation. The bus ticket has increased to ¥1500 though. It made things a lot easier after a long flight!

    • @AikoTachibana

      @j134679 that's true! The last time I went to Japan, I felt the commute to Narita was too exhausting especially with a lot of luggage so I did not mind paying a little extra to land in Haneda instead this time around.

    Great video! I have always used limousine bus to get the hotel when I land at Narita airport. However, last year around this time when I arrived there wasn't a single limousine bus in sight. Airport staff told me they have stopped services due to the pandemic situation and doesn't know when they will come back. Is limousine bus services back only at Haneda airport or is Narita back as well?

    Hi. I have a flight in two months to the philippines and my lay over is in haneda airport. Its 10 hr layover so im thinking about going out to see tokyo for a bit. But i thought 10 hrs is not that long. So im thinking about just extending my stay there to two full days. My problem is i would be bringing two check in luggages from los angeles. The question is…is there a place at the airport like a locker or something to leave my check in luggages for 2 days so i wont have to bring it with me to tokyo for 2 days? Thank you

    A lot of the limousine bus stops have not been restored after covid, so you have to take the train...

    • @tokyocheapo
      @tokyocheapo  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes unfortunately that's true. Services are running to the bus stops shown in the video - Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, TCAT etc. - but other bus stops like Tokyo Station and Shibuya haven't been restored yet. This is where the Keikyu Limousine Bus can come in handy as it goes to some stops the Airport Limousine Bus currently doesn't 😊

  • @brownemperor7255
    @brownemperor7255 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would you recommend paying in advance for airport bus or just pay when arriving?

    • @tokyocheapo
      @tokyocheapo  ปีที่แล้ว

      We recommend paying for the airport bus in advance, if possible. Pre-booking your ticket can save you time and ensure you have a guaranteed seat on the bus, especially during peak travel periods. It can also offer the convenience of not needing to worry about purchasing tickets upon arrival, allowing for a smoother and more efficient transition from the airport to Tokyo. However, if flexibility is a top priority for you, or if you're unsure of your exact schedule, you can pay upon arrival at the airport. It's a matter of personal preference, but pre-booking generally provides peace of mind and convenience.

    Unless it moved to Kanagawa, Haneda Airport is IN “the city” to begin with, not sure why it keeps getting described as “close to the city.” Closer to central Tokyo than Narita, sure, but damn, the disrespect to Ota-kumin.
