OMG Thank you. the best guidance video ever. I'm going to Japan in Sep 24 and finally found the video that show how to buy a ticket at the vending machine.😀
Thank you very much for this video. Love the details and to be honest, it is overwhelming but I will watch it a few more times when I am ready to visit Japan. Have started saving your videos in my travel folder so I can quickly review them again. Awesome job!
Thank you so much! I had a very long layover at haneda and this video helped me ENORMOUSLY in figuring out how to go through this process so i could get to my hotel for the night!
Your videos are amazing. Most informative I've seen on traveling in Tokyo and rest of Japan. Learned more from you in a few days from watching your videos than in a few months researching.😊
Thank you so much for your very useful informative video like this. I will go to Japan next month and arriving at Haneda airport too but planning to visit Osaka first then go back to Tokyo after that. But this is my first time to visit Japan i hope i have a friendly friend like you to guide me wherever i will go in Japan 🙏
Transportation in Japan is so confusing. But you had clear instructions as I will be landing in Haneda and going to Shinjuku. Thank you so much! I will download this video to my phone.
Thanks for the detailed instructions. I will have to change airport, NRT to HND, but the other option, taking a bus or train from NRT to Tokyo station then taking Yamanote line to Hamamatsucho and the monorail seemed easier and faster.
Coming in to Tokyo last time, we used the train. Departing, we used the bus. I didn't want to climb up the stairs, change trains and collide with the crowds. We were standing in the bus at 7 am. The old folks were riding it early. It was only one bus ride stop away to get to the stop for the limousine bus. For that trip, I checked out the transportation options going to the hotel and back to the airport. We're arriving in Narita for our next trip but, departing from Haneda. This gives us the chance to check out the changes made in terms of shopping at both airports. It took time to get the itineraries that would allow us to do so. Thanks for this video. It's not the first time to land or depart in/out of Haneda but, first to use the train to get there from Tokyo for our departure.
Great info! Think I will still choose to get a taxi ride. After a long flight from the states i wouldn’t mind paying. From what I’m reading it’s around 50-65 bucks

Great and clear video. Just a question, I will use my Welcome Suica card to take the Keikyu line to Shinagawa and then take Shinkansen from Shinagawa to Odawara. I will then link my Shinkansen ticket to my Welcome Suica card on the SmartEx app. Can I use my Welcome Suica Card to tap and enter the " transfer to JR "gate at Shinagawa to proceed to Shinkansen gate? Or do I need to exit KeiKyu and re- enter JR gate?
Thank you for watching!🙏 yes you can just tap the card and enter the " transfer to JR "gate at Shinagawa to proceed to Shinkansen gate (it's a lot closer too!).
Thank you for this, I will visit Japan at the end of April this year, your video guide is very helpful, arigatou gizaimasu..btw I just want to make sure, so we need to buy 2 tickets (Keikyu line and Yamanote line) and we use Keikyu ticket for get in Keikyu line and then put it in the 2 in 1 gate to enter Yamanote line. Thank you so much for watching!🙏 You only need to buy 1 ticket at Haneda Airport (like I did at 6:28 in the video). The ticket is from HANEDA Airport - Shinjuku station, for both Keikyu line and Yamanote line, so you don't have to buy anymore ticket. When you put the ticket in the 2 in 1 gate to Yamanote line, the ticket will come back out. Please take that ticket, keep it and use that same ticket to get out at Shinjuku station. The ticket will not come out at Shinjuku station because that's the final destination. Hope this helps..
Thanks for your video. Very informative and helpful. But I'm just wondering if the toica card can be use to all train lines? Or can you pls make a video regarding IC cards on its usage and coverage. Thanks in advance😊

Hi, thank you for the video. Google is telling me to take the Keikyu KK16 line to Takaracho Station near Ginza for my hotel, does this make sense? I thought the Keikyu line ended at Shinagawa?
Hi, thank you for watching! 🙏 the Keikyu line doesn't just end at Shinagawa. there're different trains sharing the same line 8:35 so you need check which train bounds for which direction. I think yours is the third one at 8:40 where the train direction says Imba Nihon-idai.
We will be going to Japan in late March 2024. We arrive at Haneda at 5:30 am. I don’t know how long it will take to go through customs. We are staying at a ryokan in Kita Ward. The Akabane Station is the closest train station in that area to the Ryokan. What is the best way to get there? I understand rush hour is from 7:30 to 9:30 am. And that we need to avoid that.
Hi, you can either 1. take the monorail (MO) to Hamamatsucho and then transfer to JR Keihin-Tohoku Line (JK), or 2. use Keikyu Line (KK) to Shinagawa and then take JR Ueno-Tokyo Line (JT/JU) to Akabane. Unfortunately, both routes are very crowded on rush hours as they pass through several mega stations such as Shinagawa, Shinbashi and Tokyo and I think there is no way to avoid those crowds. I personally recommend Keikyu to Shinagawa → JR to Akabane since you spend less time on the JR train.
Thanks for your video. Can I clarify something though? If you use the Suica card in Apple Wallet, do you just tap off at the gate using your phone when changing from the kk line and tap on again at the Shinagawa gates when traveling onto Shinjuku? Thanks again for all you work on these videos. They’ve been very valuable.
Thank you so much for watching!🙏 if you use the Suica card, you will tap 3 times, 1) entrance gate at kk line HANEDA Airport t3 station, 2) transfer to JR gate at Shinagawa Station, and 3) exit gate at Shinjuku JR station.
Thank you so much!🙏 sure thing! you can use the Suica/Pasmo card when using the Keikyu line, subways, buses, JR commuter lines... it's very convenient if you have an ic card. only when using the bullet trains or express trains, you need to buy tickets for those in addition to the ic cards (or link to the ic cards).
I historically swear by Tokyo monorail but the current renovations to the Hamamatsu station area and the world trade centre building make it hard to transfer to the other lines..

In my case, it is opposite direction from your video. Once I get off at Shinagawa JR station, I need to go to transfer gate to Keikyu line (Shinagawa) to take the train to Sengakuji station. Am I correct? Do I just need to buy a ticket of Keikyu line before I head to transfer gate to Keikyu line?
it's a bit different. when you arrive at Shinagawa shinkansen station, you exit the shinkansen station and go to Shinagawa KEIKYU LINE station downstairs (the opposite of this video from 15:44). there's a Keikyu line directly to Kuramae station, depending on time. you need to buy a ticket for the KEIKYU line at Shinagawa Keikyu station before boarding.
@@ONEGOODDREAMThank you so much. Your video is so detailed. I have some ideas how Shinagawa station looks like and I am not too worry to get lost now. Thanks
@@ONEGOODDREAM Is it going to be really crowd when I take Keiyu Line to Kuramae on Sunday around 5:30 pm? My daughter has a big luggage and I have a big luggage and a carryon luggage. I wonder if it will be a problem when we get on Keikyu line to Kuramae.
Hi! I have a layover and wanna go out to Shibuya for a little while. How can I easily buy a ticket from Haneda to Shibuya and then back to Haneda? Is there a round trip option, or do I have to purchase a transfer ticket in Haneda and in Shibuya separately?
Hi, from HANEDA Airport to Shibuya and back, you just buy a normal ticket before you board the train. you can check the train availability using Google Maps.
Thank you for this video, very useful!! I ask a question though: our plane will arrive at terminal 3 at 10:30 p.m. on Friday, and we will have to go to Asakusa. the most convenient option is definitely the KEIKYU Line. However, we don't know how long it will actually take us to get out of screening. By routing for that date on google maps the last direct train seems to be at 11:10 p.m. but from the timetable shown at minute 9:00 I see that there seem to be trains until 11:44 p.m. 11:51 p.m., 0:01, 0:13 . Can you confirm that these also go all the way to Asakusa? thank you so much
Thank you so much for watching!🙏 those do not go directly all the way to Asakusa. I think the latest bus going to Asakusa on a Friday is 11:10pm. it's likely that you might not make it with your arrival time. in that case, you can consider taking the bus instead. fyi: Keisei timetable: transfer.navitime.biz/tokyu-eng/pc/diagram/TrainDiagram?datetime=2023-12-23T09:31:16&stCd=00009589&rrCd=00000295&updown=0&device=pc Bus: webservice.limousinebus.co.jp/web/en/Top.aspx hope this help..
@@ONEGOODDREAM thank you so much! I Hope to be able to get the last train to asakusa at 23.10! Last question regarding the bus: it's seems that the last bus to asakusa runs at 18.45. there are no bus After this One?
oh no! normally the buses run a lot later...probably due to the shortage of drivers lately...I don't know other buses sorry... :( hope you can get on the 2310 train!
Thank you for your video. My hotel is closest to Takaracho station of the Asakusa line. Based on google maps, I should take the Keikyu airport line via airport-kyuko aoto. However, I noticed that the map changes from Keikyu line to Asakusa line in Aoto. Does this mean I do not need to transfer and change trains because the Keikyu line automatically changes to Asakusa line? Thank you in advance.
Thank you so much for watching!🙏 yes, that's right. the KEIKYU LINE has a direct train going to Takaracho station. However you need to be careful because not all the trains going to the same direction. so you need to get on the train that goes to Shinagawa direction PLUS it has to go directly to Takaracho (no transfer). to search for the right train, you need a navigation app like Google Maps or Japan Travel. Please check out this video: th-cam.com/video/VFl83UJH0gY/w-d-xo.html hope this helps.
if you have a Welcome Suica card, you don't need to buy KK ticket, just tap the card at the ticket gate. only buy a ticket if you don't have any kind of ic card.
Monorail to hamamasuchu ¥500 then transfered to yamanote line to akihabara then transfered again😭🤣to JB chuo line to kamiedo (our hotel)..that was what we did & stayed in japan for 15days we will come back so soon god willing❤
Thank you so much!🙏 anyone can use the suica card. previously you could buy the suica or pasmo card at the ticket vending machines. but now they stopped selling those cards due to the chip shortage. the welcome suica card was introduced well before they stopped selling the suica cards. so it's more like an add-on service for visitors than a replacement.
@@ONEGOODDREAM thank you for the details, so your recommend I should buy welcome suica, right ? Sorry 1 more question, Can the card used in cities other than Osaka and Tokyo? such as Takayama, Nagoya and Yokohama
Hello can I buy a shinkasen ticket without a JR pass from haneda airport? ill be arriving at night and will be travelling to osaka the next morning. Is that possible???
Hi, of course you can buy a shinkansen ticket without a jr pass. you can buy a shinkansen ticket altering arriving in Japan. but if you travel during peak seasons, you should secure the shinkansen ticket in advance. you can buy it online, here's how: th-cam.com/video/1HanXXUv6y8/w-d-xo.html
yes the welcome suica vending machine accepts both credit cards and cash. but please be noted that sometimes credit cards issued abroad don't get accepted (I have no idea why). it's best to bring different credit card brands if possible.
they are different companies so I'm not sure you can use. Tokyo is a combination of different trains and subways. depending on your plan, you may not need a metro pass.
Could you please tell me if I have the Keikyu Airport Express Line return ticket and Tokyo subway pass then do I need to ride from HND T3 Station to Sengakuji and exit Sengakuji station then tap my Tokyo Subway pass again to re-enter to ride to Ningyocho station? Or can I stay in a direct train that pass through Sengakuji Station to Ningyocho station then tap my Tokyo subway pass upon exit at Ningyocho station please? Thank you.
hi, if there is a direct train, you can stay on that train and get off at Ningyocho station. at the exit, go to the manned gate and showed both of your ticket and pass to the staff, and explained where you got on the train (departure station). that's it. basically, if you want to use the ticket or pass at the automatic gate, it has to have a departure and a arrival station of the same company. for cases like yours, just go to the manned gate.
@@ONEGOODDREAM Thank you. I was devastated the Linktivity CS team replied to my query that “京急羽得きっぷ is only available between Haneda Terminal 3 station-Sengakuji Station. In case you wish to utilize both tickets, we suggest you get off at Sengakuji station and go out of the gate with 京急羽得きっぷ, and enter again with Tokyo Subway Ticket and take the next train to Ningyocho station.” Don’t they know their ticket well? I really hope the manned gate manual check is accepted.

I think the latest bus going to Asakusa on a Friday is 11:10pm. it's likely that you might not make it with your arrival time. in that case, you can consider taking the bus instead. fyi:

@@ONEGOODDREAM thank you so much! I Hope to be able to get the last train to asakusa at 23.10! Last question regarding the bus: it's seems that the last bus to asakusa runs at 18.45. there are no bus After this One?
oh no! normally the buses run a lot later...probably due to the shortage of drivers lately...I don't know other buses sorry... :( hope you can get on the 2310 train!
thank you so much @@ONEGOODDREAM
Hi , how much will cost taking taxi from haneda airport to koenji station
Thank you so much
sorry I have no idea :( I'm guessing more than JPY10k...
Thank you!❤
Thank you so much!🙏
Thank you for your video.
However you need to be careful because not all the trains going to the same direction. so you need to get on the train that goes to Shinagawa direction PLUS it has to go directly to Takaracho (no transfer). to search for the right train, you need a navigation app like Google Maps or Japan Travel. hope this helps.
I'm confused - if I have a Welcome Suica, do i still have to buy a Keikyu Line ticket in addition to that?
if you have a Welcome Suica card, you don't need to buy KK ticket, just tap the card at the ticket gate. only buy a ticket if you don't have any kind of ic card.
If l dont have the JR Pass, can l use the monorail from Haneda to Tokyo station?
absolutely. just buy a ticket and you're good to go.
The view is much better by taking monorail in my opinion
Thanks
Thank you so much!🙏
I want to exchange cash and get sim card at haneda airport, is that available at terminal 3 or do I need to go to terminal 1?
you can get those at terminal 3, no need to go to terminal 1.
my dream
Monorail to hamamasuchu ¥500 then transfered to yamanote line to akihabara then transfered again😭🤣to JB chuo line to kamiedo (our hotel)..that was what we did & stayed in japan for 15days we will come back so soon god willing❤
Hope to have you back soon! 🙏
Hello .. thankyou so much .. but I hear for the suica can’t use for the tourist ? And replaced with welcome suica, is it true ?
Thank you so much!🙏 anyone can use the suica card. previously you could buy the suica or pasmo card at the ticket vending machines. but now they stopped selling those cards due to the chip shortage. the welcome suica card was introduced well before they stopped selling the suica cards. so it's more like an add-on service for visitors than a replacement.
@@ONEGOODDREAM thank you for the details, so your recommend I should buy welcome suica, right ? Sorry 1 more question, Can the card used in cities other than Osaka and Tokyo? such as Takayama, Nagoya and Yokohama
If I pay with the iPhone ID card, what do I do with the exit ticket? Do I have to mark something at the subway exit?
you need to tap your phone at both entrance and exit gates. that'll do it.
Can i use icoca card in tokyo?
yes you can. you can use it anywhere in Japan where you see the IC mark.
Best way from Haneda to Sunshine Prince Hotel ?
check out the Airport Limousine Bus instead. I think that bus goes directly to that hotel.
👍

Does welcome suica vending machine accept credit card or is it cash only with Yen?
yes the welcome suica vending machine accepts both credit cards and cash. but please be noted that sometimes credit cards issued abroad don't get accepted (I have no idea why). it's best to bring different credit card brands if possible.
Is suica card valid on keikyu?
yes, and on other local trains and subways too.
Can use subway pass to ride in kk line?
they are different companies so I'm not sure you can use. Tokyo is a combination of different trains and subways. depending on your plan, you may not need a metro pass.
Hi I'm From India Madam❤❤😊😊
@@thetrimtab yes, that's what the manned gate is for (partly) :)
@@ONEGOODDREAM Love your video since I was the first on Haneda Airport to Tokyo followed by those video on useful apps! You deserve a lot of followers, views and 👍 😘
@@thetrimtab Thank you so much!🙏 I'm so glad they could be of some help^^
so if i pay with a suica card do i still need a paper ticket to get out at shinjuku?
no you don't. you just tap the suica card at the gates.
@@ONEGOODDREAM THANK YOU!!!
@@kajinoking3638 you're welcome!^^
Can i take this train with tokyo metro pass?

@@ONEGOODDREAM okayy. Thankd mate
Oh boy. Japan transit systems are the most complicated. Paris, Singapore, Malaysia, and Shanghai transit systems are not even come close. Feeling like filling out your taxes. Very informative. Thx
Actually not so once you land for a country where the primary language is not English, the signage and directions are relatively easy to follow.
Nicely detailed video. Very easy to follow. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching!🙏
