She was rampant at this point, I love Cortana, hell I grew up with her as a young adult, I read all the books, her actions in Halo 5 are reasonable, if you read the books..... but for 343 and Microsoft, that is the issue they assumed everyone read the books, which is why Halo 5 was a catastrophe to the general audiance... and I hope the self correct in Halo: Infinite....
I don’t mind so much that they brought her back. What bothers me is that her character shows up with absolutely no explanation, Chief just plays along like it’s all normal for her to be there, and then they started throwing around the whole, “Read the books to find out more!” It’s a core entry. Massive plot points like that shouldn’t be in optional side media.
I didn't like a lot of things in Halo 4. However, I did like how it sort of brought out more chief's and cortana's character. I found it interesting how chief did act like a robot, in the sense that he doesn't show much emotion or opinion and just does his mission. Cortana acted more human in openly expressing thoughts, beaming with emotion, even giving attitude at times.

I know because it's stellar cycle is more symmetrical than that of an actual star. I love moments like these. I really appreciate Halo 4 bringing so much more of Chief’s humanity out. It’s like despite her rampancy, Cortana is still quirky. And his smirking is just reflective of their relationship.
She was made the same way every clone was, from a cadaver brain. Halsey's brain may have been cloned but that isn't relevant to the AI process, she's different because Halsey has godlike intelligence and she was the cutting edge of AI technology at the time.

It is way too hard to add those kind of moments in a FPS game, a shame that 343 went for a generic plot for Halo 5, Cortana's revival into a villain made this cutscene irrelevant.

They really goofed bad with Halo 5. Why the didact wasn't carried over to the next game, I have no clue. But having four be filled with emotional moments between Chief and Cortona, then ripping it all away in Halo 5 was beyond stupid.
To give credit where it’s due, 343 has created two god-tier AIs. Roland and Isabel are really good characters in their own right. I also like Olympia Vale. Not sure if that’s a popular opinion or now.

I got one big issue with cortana. She looks exactly like my ex i was really strong in love with. Those face expressions when she's talking and all gives me flashbacks way to often.
4 had a decent story compared to reach-3 the only problem I had was just the designs in general it was a huge leap from what I was used to to the point I questioned if it was halo. This was a good scene between these two fractured characters though.
Cortana was so hot in this game. When I played Halo 5 and they were hinting at her return, I was really excited to see how much hotter she could look on the Xbox One. Then she showed up and they made her look not only hideous but had her wearing clothes! What a letdown! I thought 343 would learn their lesson after that with the backlash Halo 5 got but they made The Weapon look just as homely in Halo Infinite. What is wrong with them nowadays?
This scene is an example of why Halo 4 isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. Sure, the multiplayer sucked, but the story was damn good. I know it’s kind of blasphemous to say, but 4’s ending seems even more fitting, a more proper end, than than 3’s

I know forward into dawn wasn't the best movie. But man that little kid sure came a long way.
I always think Cortana had more emotion that other AI because she was made from living tissue.
