you shouldn't fear them to the point of killing them but you should defiantly proceed with caution around them. Tiger Sharks, Bull Sharks and Great Whites I would say stay away from, they are aggressive and quite curious which is why swimmers and surfers get mistaken.
They were Nurse and Lemon sharks. They're pretty docile. The only recorded human attacks from Nurse and Lemons are when the humans were doing something stupid and pretty much put their hands in their jaws.
Another great vid guys. I've said it before.....your girl's bravery cracks me up. I'm thinking "Sierra, get your left leg out of there!". She just calmly sits there even when one of the big ones comes in close lol. They can move extremely quick. Whatever camera your using is producing some great colors.
Love your channel and this video. DB is an awesome spot, one of our fav's. One mild criticism though, a lot of people swim off that beach, probably not a good idea to feed the sharks there. We haul our guts out to the channel and dump them off. The sharks around you guys aren't too big of a deal (the big ones are nurses) but they are some large, aggressive bulls in that area that can be dangerous. It's best not to encourage them to feed in an area where people swim. I hope you on't take it the wrong way, like I said love your channel. We keep our trawler in Stuart.

I just saw the Old Bay seasoning!!! Im from Maryland and we never travel without it. My grandfather had made his own seasoning. I grew up on that. If you ever have a chance to visit the eastern shore in MD I would ask local crab men or woman if they would share their seasoning recipe. Unfortunately my grandfather pass away without passing on his recipe. Its worth making your own.
Did it ever cross your mind that when you feed sharks they look at humans as a food source ? So what happens next time the sharks get close to a human, maybe a child. I know it looks cool and all, but think.
Sharks actually don't like the taste of human. It's only a 15% chance a shark will attack you. Things not to do: don't surf around sharks, don't wear yellow, don't panic, no floaties. The lady in this is wearing the perfect colors to feed them. She clearly gained their trust since she fed them. So they'll only follow her not eat her.

I understand what you are saying. I have seen a lot of videos of people petting/feeding/even helping sharks caught in netting. But this is still an overall harmful thing to do. Sharks then learn that being near humans will get them fed. Not all humans want to be near sharks while in the water, if they have a spear a human will use it to defend themselves. Then either the shark gets hurt or it might turn aggressive. Petting sharks is nothing more than a photo opportunity for the diver,, nothing is actually accomplished.
Oh and there are other kinds of sharks feeding as well including lemon and a reef Lemon sharks will swarm and can become aggressive easy hence that small one that charged at the end of the feeding and Grey reef sharks are often curious about divers when they first enter the water and may approach quite closely, though they lose interest on repeated dives. They are more aggressive in open water
