Oh btw, to get the elgato to work u gotta download their software too, after downloading the software try using the software, it should work fine there.
@@WVZoro ok so , i have the game captured HD software latest version and it wont get the image. i have tried using the same cables on another device and it do work. the things is that some months ago it was working pretty fine, i stopped playing some months and it wont work now.

Hey bro just checking in on how it worked for you because I’m contemplating on getting a capture card. Really, my only problem is getting audio through to my Mac from my PS4 (game volume, party chat, and also my mic as well.)
@@FLACOTACO02 I had a capture card 2 years ago… still great today! It’s great for that beginner start up. I still use it when recording my 360. Invest in one!
Make sure you guys follow the steps completely and listen closely!!! It will work perfectly if you do everything right!!!!

I've been trying to set up my new iMac with my PS4, Streamlabs and my AGPTek capture card and watched several videos over the last 10 days because I couldn't get it to work and you're the first person to say that they are not compatible, so thanks for that! SLOBS for Mac is available in case you were not aware! Now we can choose between OBS and SLOBS for our Elgato stream setup. Which one do you guys prefer to use?

Yo! I keep getting an echo when I use my Hd60s with a party chat or when I’m playing a solo game with commentary, the game audio echos. I have no idea why it does it, but it seems like you’re a pro in that kind of stuff so I figured I would ask. Lol

I bought a super fast USB-C to usb-c cable but it doesn’t work for obs link. It just tells me I need USB 3 for the device

@@davidleebradford3126 it needs to be fast enough. I recommend the one that Midnight talks about. They have their own website. You have to go to US I’m pretty sure to do it. Like godspin.com or something. Hope this helps
I got my Elgato on my lunch break, hooked it up and played around flawlessly, noticed tangled cables in my haste , and cleaned everything up, got on to stream , complete failure .... after 4 hours of different videos , articles, help pages , FAQs, blogs.... then I watch your video and I have been saved. Restart the computer/application. Still nothing I would install some of the other NDI plug in packages available.

After I installed OBS Link, I opened OBS and it said plugin for NDI was missing and download here in a popup window. I clicked the link and it downloaded the NDI plugin that was compatible so that it then showed up in sources.
Watching this a year later and you saved me man! Was having issues with my USBc to USB 3.0 with freezing. Thought it was my internet but the new cable is working so much better
Hey just wanted to let you guys know, that for the NDI Source Option to pop up you also need to install another NDI package. It should be a little more below the DL links in the step by step section for mac. It's something like version 5.4.1 hope this helps!

Im currently laying in bed after trying to get my HD60 up and running in slobs & after watch a bunch of other yt videos I believe this one is the BEST ONE I'VE FOUND FOR MY ISSUE!! yeah same. I knew it was a mistake immediately but wasn't sure how he made it. catalina is like 3 versions after mojave. also side note it is possible that it won't work with catalina. ive tried it and slobs has issues. id recommend sticking to high sierra IMO.

The ndi source won’t show up on stream labs and I’ve done everything right and even read the suggestion that you gave other people on what to do and it just doesn’t work for mine. Please help!

HEY person who is trying to do this, this is MORE adviceon the USB C to USB C thing. IF you're having issues on streamlabs where you get the error code of "USB 3 needed for this device" and you are currently using one of the USB c to USB c cords here is a potential issue you might be having:
The cord you probably purchased is not strong enough in providing a connection from the capture (in my case the hd60s) to your computer. The cord you got is most likely specifically a *charging* cord and outputs at USB 2 levels, which would explain why you're getting the error code through streamlabs OBS. You can also see the SAME MESSAGE or just not generally connecting if you are streaming through the Elgato software itself. The issue is the same. I'm about to get a higher speed cable to see if that fixes it, and if it doesn't Elgato website suggests to buy a USB to USB C small highspeed adapter. It's up to you if you want to try it, but I'm about to try getting a new cord and will edit update this comment to tell you all if it works.

Hey! great video! OBS link doesn't work for me. In OBS, whenever I select my NDI source, add the elgato and press ok, OBS just crashes. This happens every time I try it. I've tried reinstalling everything, it doesn't work! PLEASE HELP ME!
I should just make tutorials too lol . I found a way around it. Dont try to readd it to the same ndi source. You have to add a new NDI Source everytime it goes blank. Side tip. its annoying but helps.

Anyone else getting having the issue of it not recognising the Elgato? So close to sending this back and giving up I've spend hours on this. Mac software is the latest Catalina 10.15.5
I'm in the same boat bud, pretty sure it's your processor. If it's not quad core (mine is only dual), I think we're out of luck. I've even tried installing the OBS link but same problem.
I am having the same problem on my MacbookPro inch 2012. I updated to the last version of Mac OS Catalina. In the elgato software appears normal, but in streamlabs and OBS not.

@@danielparidis271 yes it worked, after a few tries, and I'm not sure I can remember, but probably I followed another tutorial and downloaded another NDI plugin version
@@danielparidis271 In my download folder I can find 3 different ndi files:
obs-ndi-4.7.1-macOS.pkg
obs-ndi-4.9.0-macOS.pkg
ndi-runtime-4.5.1-macOS.pkg
the last one I downloaded is ndi-runtime-4.5.1-macOS.pkg, so I suppose this one was the one that worked. I looked on google for that name (I can't remember exactly how I downloaded it) and found this link, if you scroll the page or you look for "ndi-runtime-4.5.1-macOS" in the page you will find the link to download it.

There's a mystery problem with Streamlabs and/or OBS not recognizing the elgato 60 S and it's not listing NDI as an option. I've followed your video too (it was so easy to follow and I wish I found this earlier.) So if anyone could figure out that problem, I'm sure you could. Any guesses? When I use "Game Capture HD" my elgato 60 S is recognized, but it's not recognized in OBS or Streamlabs.

make sure you download the other file under the ndi one its the runtime one and restart streamlabs. Just happened to me as well and it's showing now. (:

I'm having a similar issue, what year macbook are you using, I am using my 2017 macbook pro four thunderbolt ports. i think it's dual core and that's the reason, few months later i'm still looking for the answers hahahaha

If you’re having a problem with the add NDI source setting not showing up in streamlabs + OBS on your Mac, you must also install the NDI 4.5.1 runtime
Fixed my issue if you are on macbook.
Go to system preferences.
Security and privacy
left column scroll down to screen recording and make sure OBS is checked.
Do you have a dual or quad core I wanna know will it work for dual core ?

I had a problem that after following all your steps (i.e. downloading software, hooking up to Elgato, etc.) "NDI Source" was not popping up in STREAMLABS... Then, I opened my OBS Studio which opened up a "runtime" set up. And VOILA it works.

For everyone still having problems under INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS: where it says MAC OS: follow step 1 and 2. Meaning after installing the obs-ndi 4.8.0 you HAVE TO install the NDI 4.5.1 MacOS runtime. The website has the link there next to number 2. Just read the install instructions.

The advice on using the high speed C to C that sends video signal is the BEST piece of advice to know before I even tried streaming with the HD60 S+. Thank youuuuu. I was hoping there was info out there not to have to convert A to C.

@@MidnightMan thanks again! Did my first game stream over the weekend just to test it all out. Went well. Need to tweak some settings but after following this guide, was able to get the hd60 S+ up and running quick and basically hop right into a livestream. Appreciate all the Mac content sir!

For anyone having trouble getting the NDI source to show up in your streaming software, make sure to download the installing helper that is on the same page as the NDI package download right above it next to the two.

When I try to use the OBS Link, it says that I don’t have OBS… while looking to find a problem I see that I downloaded Streamlabs Desktop? Is this different from Streamlabs OBS because I definitely downloaded from the same website so I’m confused. I also don’t see a NDI Source

Great video, so far you have explained these set ups the best. Im having an issue with my TV display. The colors are washed out and not as vibrant as normal when I have HDMI going from PS5 directly into the TV. The display on the computer is perfect, only my tv has been affected. Any idea why?

Yes I still prefer OBS on Mac over slobs. My stream delay is bad, chat overlay source broken, CPU runs high, can’t upload my thumbnail with stream for YT, and the worst thing it pushes my stream out in 720p for some odd reason

More specifically, the Game Capture HD software is taking over 80% of my processor. Is there anything I can adjust from the settings or is it simply that my Mac cannot handle it?
Hey! I figured out how to use the Elgato HD 60 S + sound settings for Mac without needing to use the Elgato Software!
1. Open Stream Labs OBS
2. Make Sure your Elgato HD60 S+ is connected!
3. Go to your settings on the left of your Stream Labs OBS and open them.
4. Go to your Audio Settings.
5. In your Audio Settings, select any of the Mic/Auxiliary Devices (Preferably save one for your mic of course) and select the "Game Capture HD 60+" and click done. Now it should appear and work in your Mixer tab.
6. To hear the game audio on your headphones, click the settings button next to "Mixer". Then on the Game Capture HD 60 S+ Audio monitoring, click and select "Monitor Only (mute output)"
THEN DONE! Now you can hear your gameplay without the need for Elgato software.

For everyone that's having issues with NDI not showing in sources, make sure you downloaded the runtime download that was under the ndi one then restart slobs. instantly fixed! you find it under 4.9.0 in the mac instructions. there will be a link!

Patton the link provided in the description of the video, click it and go to 4.9.0 & under mac install instructions it’ll tell you to get the NDI & the NDI Runtime that’s not automatically installed anymore. it will have the link provided. i also use a MBP.
