Now look at the scriptures (preferably the original Greek with direct translations to english that are easy to find online) and see how Simcha misrepresents the Word. Start with Luke 8:26. It's obvious, but he's relying on people not to look things up but to be drawn into his sensationalized fictions that make him money.

This "report" is the work of a fake scholar who couldn't get a job teaching elementary school history. There is literally no evidence that Jesus traveled outside of modern Israel other than being taken to Egypt as a child. The Bible is rather straightforward in it's delivery of information, so it would plainly have told us the details of any trips he took abroad.

Matt. 8:26“You of little faith,” Jesus replied, “why are you so afraid?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it was perfectly calm. 27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the sea obey Him!”
Great piece of work. Fascinating. Gadara was not the only place where Jesus didn't get a hot reception. His home town was the other. The beginning of John's Gospel says he was overwhelmingly rejected. "He came to that which was his own. But his own received him not." I disagree with those who say this analysis in this documentary is disrespectful to the Scriptures. Its whole agenda is that we read the texts and work out what they're saying. Luke was very interested in portraying the Gospel reaching the ends of the Earth - hence Jesus' trip to Gadara and the end of the narrative of Paul's missionary journey poised with is intention to go to Spain. I don't think the Gospels were embarrassed for Jesus by his reception in Nazareth and Gadara. They didn't have to mention those events at all if they didn't want to. They just told it like it was.
The more you dig, the more you learn. We owe a lot archaeologists like Simcha Jacobovici. I agree with Simcha when he said "We made a powerful case" referring to Jesus and his followers had in fact sailed across the Mediterranean sea but the Sea of Galilee.

He came to fulfill the Law, in that people 'may have life and have it to the full' - sins forgiven and entry to His Kingdom! Thank you : )
And it seems not possible that the Red Sea was parted or that Noah could build a big enough boat or that Jesus could feed thousands with a couple of loaves of bread. Look at Luke 8:26 in the actual Greek. It's not vague, but Simcha pretends it doesn't say what it says. He does this in all his "research" where he cherry picks passages that can support "alternate" narratives.
Thanks so much! I always enjoy and learn from your videos, and sometimes actually question and think deeply about what I learned previously as a Christian! I also believe many Christians have an affinity for Judaism. Shh don't repeat.
Simcha is great at manipulating information. Please take what he said with a grain of salt and look into it. He sensationalizes everything and greatly exaggerates. He thinks of a theory and finds a way to support it and that means dishonesty and often bold assertions with no evidence. That's not how science or any sort of academia works.

I really like Simcha as a TV presenter. Though one can question his conclusions, which often include a lot of “maybes” and supposition, he is always thought provoking. His theories make me think. He looks at the combination of Judaism and early Christianity (which is much different from modern evangelical Christianity), in a veery different way.
Gadara was named for the tribe of Gad, one of the 12 sons of Jacob (Israel) and Jesus was sent first to the scattered tribe of Israel. He traveled to many of what we call the "lost ten tribes" of Israel. He knew where they were. I respectfully disagree. Jesus/Yeshua message is far beyond a supernatural belief: is about the Golden rule, love one another, forgiveness, fight social injustices and live in virtue. His message is far more powerful than the ongoing debate about his divinity, a debate which I consider useless. Yeshua himself stated clearly that WE ARE THE LIGHT. No need to point high in the sky.... Divinity is inside you!
Sant Orozco We are only the LIGHT if we are in Him, if we are born again and have believed in Jesus and all His supernatural origins and credentials. If we have not accepted that Jesus died to pay the price for our sins, have repented of sin and asked Him for forgiveness, and asked Him to be our Lord and Saviour then the Light of the World is not in us. He said, Matthew 6:23 (NKJV) “But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great [is] that darkness!” John said, "9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." - John 1:9-13 (NKJV) The Kingdom of God is only within you, or among you, if you receive the King Himself. That means accepting Him as He says He is, not a reductive facsimile the world has made because it could not comprehend Him.
The longer the time between facts and legends, the more the facts get stretched. If the people who decided that this locations fit the gospels didn't come up with the idea for over 400 years, that's longer that the time from the New England pilgrims to modern USA.

I can imagine Jesus taking a voyage with his disciples across the Mediterranean Sea to Spain. Would Christ cross the sea, even in a tempest to save one man? If you've read the Bible, all of it, you know what God will do, for those he has chosen. This tv show is... well, it is deception for those who desire to believe lies. A simple reading of Matthew defines exactly where Jesus was when this journey occurred. But it is not imperative that it be this place or that place. The gospels exist to reveal God to us, and us to our sin, and from there, the path of redemption through faith in Jesus Christ. The people of Israel hated Jesus during His time of visitation, and they still hate Him today. But Jesus said, "Many will come from east and west, and recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven; but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." It seems there is already gnashing of teeth, about 44 minutes and 3 seconds of it. The Father is merciful and calls ALL to repent. His mercy is not small, it is large enough to cover your pride, your sins, whatever they are. Life is unpredictable, some of the people who have watched this video have perished, and if they perished with these lies, they are lost for all eternity. I pray that someone who reads this would see truth for the first time in their life, and that they would turn from their sin, their traditions, their culture, and put their faith in Jesus Christ. Bibles are everywhere, read the 4 gospels, they'll tell you who Christ is, and what He requires of you. It is easy, the easiest thing there is.
Great work - kudos to whoever did this work, which must have taken a lot of time. It is consistent with my own view, that Jesus was very determined to make contact with the 10 lost tribes (one tribe was split in two, and not counting the Levites, that makes it 10), and pursued it vigorously.
There is a video on youtube by Simcha Jacobovici if memory serves me, which pursue the idea that Jesus sailed to Spanish islands in order to contact one lost tribe, and that the Mk 5:1-17 healing took place there.
The Lord said to me, I left the "anchors" there to show proof that many have lied where I am. Mark 6:53 Healing at Gennesaret When they had crossed over [the sea], they reached the land of Gennesaret and anchored at the shore.
Yes, as in the previous comment below, if you read " the Life Teachings of Jesus " in the Urantia Book, many of your questions about the time Jesus lived here and where he traveled to will be answered. As far as if there were about 600 boats on the Sea of Galilee at the time of Jesus, and the boat which was discovered here in this video being the only known survival today, I strongly believe through Faith, that God himself made this happen, and indeed Jesus was connected with this boat.

Israel in the time of Jesus was occupied by Rome, at that time they had many pagan temples and alters through out the area and traditions were to sacrifice pigs to those pagan dieties. Jesus was resurrected and he visited all of the world after his resurrection. Hundreds of Native American tribes have oral accounts of 'a great white prophet' who visited them, gave them the same teachings that Jesus taught in Israel, and this prophet chose 12 men from each group to administer to the people of each tribe before he left. Many of these accounts are collected in the book, "He Walked the Americas" by L. Taylor Hansen. I believe in the divinity of Jesus and that he truly performed the recorded miracles. It is easy for me to believe that he traveled the world after leaving Jerusalem and taught the people everywhere!
My sister slept through an earthquake while her roommate was running around shrieking. It's conceivable if Jesus was really tired he could have slept through a storm.

I just have to admire Simcha. He knocks it out of the park way to often to just be lucky. The one I like best was Constantine's arch with absolutely no sign of a cross to help persuade us that Constantine ever saw a sign in the sky before the Milvian Bridge battle. Probably a story made up later by Eusebius. Simcha does his homework. Not really sure of his agenda but who cares. Looks like he does it again here with this video Thank you Simcha for your work.
Actually, when I was a kid, scholars pointed to the date of Eusebius’ biography & considered it unlikely that Constantine was Christian at that time. Scholars today, if they can actually be called that, never even broach the subject. Christian scholars are extremely one-sided now & like to break out into emotional fits, give slanted counter arguments, & go back to tirades, none of it is convincing.
@@cheryldeboissiere1851Constantine was not baptized a Christian until near his deathbed. He did not carry Christianity as his religion only up to that point. All of Simchas work has got a lot of “Perhaps” on it., they are neither systematic nor anywhere near acceptable as archeology. He take two points and say perhaps (twistin the facts to your conclusion) and then say its documentary. My statement “he are all making this up “ is more reliable and does not contain the word “perhaps”.
There is also legends that Mary and Josef of Arimathrea came to Spain and lived here for some years after the crucifixion. There is also tradition that they or some of them left Spain and went first to France and then by boat to the westcost of Britain and started a christian church in Glastonbury and this supposed to have been not very far after the crucifixion. It is also supposed to be Mary and Josef of Arithmathrea that come there maybe with some more people and they built the first Christian church in England and remnants is supposed to still be there. Also a there is a stream close to where the church should be where there is a bush that has white flowers that never dies even in the winter. I have always been interested in any stories about Jesus and there is many in Spain, south of France and England. The catholic that came to England many 100 years later landed on the east coast and they started to travel the country to spread the gospel. When they arrived on the west side of England they found that the people there already were christians but they had to reform to the catholic faith after a while. I am now close to 71 years of age and have not comitted myself to any special church. My doughters father was jew in England and he is now dead. I have had many friends in Israel and I have had the luck of having been for a short visit once in my life. I do believe in Jesus even if not exactly as the bibel says.
Amazing and interesting! There is so much evidence to prove the subject of the matter. Despite of that, this doesn’t affect my belief in God the Father and Christ’s divine message and teachings. Great professional Job though 👍

A truly enlightening insight by Simcha Jacobovici, historic fact is always much more interesting than delusional theological imagination and invention. I would also mention on the same theme the Old Testament mythological account of Jonah and the Whale that is based on a Star Constellation. To quote as follows: " The Biblical Book of Jonah talks about the prophet Jonah being swallowed by a “whale”. He lives in the belly of the whale for three days and three nights (Jonah 1:17). He is then spat out on the shore. This is a very odd story. First of all, the original Hebrew doesn’t say “whale”. It says “big fish”. Big difference! Second of all, there are no fish that can swallow a human being whole, and even if there was one, the fish’s stomach acids would kill the poor fellow. As it turns out, Jonah was a mariner. The Book of Jonah states that he went to Jaffa, a port in Israel, boarded a ship and made his way towards a place called “Tarshish” (Jonah 1:3). Historians generally agree that the Biblical “Tarshish” is the historical “Tartessos” in southern Spain, near modern Cadiz. If you took a ship from Jaffa and crossed the Mediterranean towards Spain, in the fall or winter months, you would find yourself sailing into the “belly of the fish” i.e., the constellation “Cetus” also known as “the big fish”. In ancient mythology, Cetus was equated with a “whale” hence the substitution in later Biblical translations. According to the Book of Jonah, Jonah sailed into a storm. This makes perfect sense. To this day, sailors who sail into the “belly of the fish” find themselves in storms just before reaching southern Spain in the area of the Balearic islands e.g., Majorca. In fact, one of the landmarks of Majorca is the Church of Palma de Majorca, erected in 1229 by King James I, to thank God for making it through a storm that he was caught in for three days. Put simply, when the Book of Jonah says that Jonah was swallowed by the big fish for three days and then spat out, what it literally is saying is that he was in the belly of Cetus, facing a potentially lethal storm and then made it safely to shore. Mystery solved. The Whales Belly winter solstice from 400 year old ancient mariner’s star chart of night sky constellations, known as being in the Whale’s Belly - a fishy theological tale has later been interpreted literally as referring to an actual sea creature.

@Seven Oceans Thank you for your recommendation that I will take the opportunity to follow, as truth is an ever unfolding process in time not something fixed in the past, but of the here and now.
Looking at the specific text we see the chapter before he is delivering a sermon at the Mount, and the next he is healing people in Cesarea. This takes us back to the first. We go back to what you mentioned that the water receded in Spain, the same happened in Israel, thus your argument that it is too far from the sea does not apply either.
While I can agree on the part of Jesus' similar event to that of Jonah, I disagree with the direction of story that the authors of this documentary were heading due to following reasons: 1) Jonah was in fact tasked by God to embark on a mission to Nineveh located somewhere between the borders of Turkey & Iraq. God wanted Nineveh to repent so they can avoid God's punishment. 2) Jonah, most probably young and stubborn at that time, did not like the idea of going there. Then he decided to escape heading to the far opposite direction which is Tarshish or what is also known as Cadiz or Gadir or Gadara. But Jonah did not reach Tarshish after he was taken by the big fish, and after 3 days agreed to God's will to go Nineveh. 3) The priority of Jonah's mission was Nineveh and NOT Tarshish. I think the authors should have studied a bit more and deeper about Jonah first before connecting his experience in the boat with that of Jesus. Following questions should be given light: - Why God asked Jonah to travel to Nineveh in the first place when he could've chosen someone else from there or nearby place to be a prophet & with whom people of Nineveh could've recognise and follow? - Why did God specifically cared for Nineveh instead of the people from surrounding cities of Turkey & Iraq? Were these people part of the lost tribes of Israel? What was God's possible purpose of doing so? - After the authors tried to connect Jonah with Jesus all the way to Tarshish/Gadara, it made me see the other side of possibilities and ask: Why did Jonah chose specifically Tarshish? Was it just really a mere impulse of escape route, or was it Jonah did have a conversation with God for a mission of which Tarshish/Gadara is part of it? God considered Nineveh as much urgent for a mission to fulfil ahead of Tarshish/Gadara. But then Jonah failed to obey God's will and God cancelled his mission to Tarshish/Gadara. Jonah stayed and died at Nineveh or somewhere around nearby region. This is also similar to Moses when at one point, he failed to fulfil God's will. God cancelled his mission, and he never got to see the sun rising in Jerusalem. One important thing that the authors forgot about Jesus was that He was a --- FULFILMENT --- of the Old and New testament. Could it be that Jesus's coming to Tarshish/Gadara was a FULFILMENT to God's will and not a some sort of a rescue mission impossible? The funny side of the authors was that they were quick to notice the journey of Joseph & Mary to be more of European drama, but with the coming of Jesus to Tarshish/Gadara, the authors' English bloods suddenly resurfaced and saw it as a rescue mission for a supposed victory day and party. Lastly, Jesus is a son of man - this we all can agree without a fight (lol ). But Jesus is at the same time a SON OF GOD. - He isn't a prophet, nor an angel or somewhere in between... - Prophets : Daniel 9:24-27, Ezekiel 37:24, 25-27, Isaiah 7:14, 8:14, 8:23-9:1, 9:6,7, 11:12, 28:16, 53:5, Jeremiah 31:15... People tend to forget or rather ignore the very fact that they were highly recognised Prophets themselves, and that their words of proclamation for the coming Messiah is beyond them and their qualifications. - The words and life of John the Baptist was where all prophesies from old testament culminated as he declared the messiah has come. Mark 1:6-11, Matthew 3:1-12, John 1:35-42. All the prophets humbled themselves as servants of God None from any of them was ever capable and qualified to say that they are saviour and messiah. But Jesus did : John 4: 23-26, John 5:24-26, 31-37, John 3:31-36, John 11:23-26, Matthew 3:13-17, Matthew 16:15-17, Matthew 26:63-64, Mark14:61, Matthew 11:27, Luke 2:48-50, Luke 22:70, John 14:5-7, and the list goes on..... Jesus is the Son of God... You either have to accept him or deny him and the bible. Does Jesus being God himself also performs things by himself outside the earth without waiting plans from God the Father? That, we couldn't straightly answer. We can only be sure of two things as the purpose of his coming to earth : 1) to fulfil the will of the Father, 2) To save humanity....

Later on I've been exposed to few other Christian denominations, I also have Muslim friends. Been in few visits to Hindu temple, and few tribes in remote region. They were those some gems of education you can't just get from four walls classrooms. So in topics such us this video, my mind will naturally see important points as well as the directions. Then I could recall general topics and authors in the Bible connected to it, and that's when I start to search for specific verses to get the very details. It comes naturally fast for me doing it that way... Then I realised that I craved for more answers when questions after questions started to unfold..... Life is simply too big, and we were just talking about this 44min documentary...😔😢😍
Tarshish is not Gadir/Gadara. If you cross reference Jonah’s travel itinerary with other verses in the Bible, you won’t end up in Spain. The closest way to Tarshish was via Ezion-Geber, a port in Elat at the Gulf of Aqaba and the Red Sea. It is not through the Mediterranean Sea (to Spain). During the time of Jonah, the port in Ezion-Geber was no longer operational because God has broken the ships there with strong winds. As a result, Jonah had no choice but board a vessel in Joppa. 2 Chronicles 20:36-37 KJV “35 And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly: 36 And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Eziongaber. 37 Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the Lord hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.” Ezion-Geber was King Solomon’s seaport that he built for the sole purpose of travel with Hiram’s men to Ophir and Tarshish, which was about a year and a half journey, to get gold, etc. for the Temple. 1 Kings 9:26-28 KJV “King Solomon built a fleet of ships at Ezion-Geber which is near Eloth, on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom. Hiram sent his servants with the fleet, mariners who had knowledge of the sea, to serve with Solomon’s men. They came to Ophir (O-FEER), where they obtained 420 talents of gold and brought it to King Solomon”. 2 Chronicles 9:21 KJV “For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Hiram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.”
Nineveh was where the 10 tribes of Northern Israel were deported during the reign of Shalmaneser V, and the Assyrian army invaded the northern kingdom, conquering the city of Samaria in 722 BC. 2 Esdras gives an account of what happened to the 10 tribes. Some stayed in Nineveh, and the rest of them God brought to Arsareth. 2 Esdras 13:40-50 “40 Those are the ten tribes, which were carried away prisoners out of their own land in the time of Osea the king, whom Salmanasar the king of Assyria led away captive, and he carried them over the waters, and so came they into another land. 41 But they took this counsel among themselves, that they would leave the multitude of the heathen, and go forth into a further country, where never mankind dwelt, 42 That they might there keep their statutes, which they never kept in their own land. 43 And they entered into Euphrates by the narrow places of the river. 44 For the most High then shewed signs for them, and held still the flood, till they were passed over. 45 For through that country there was a great way to go, namely, of a year and a half: and the same region is called Arsareth. 46 Then dwelt they there until the latter time; and now when they shall begin to come, 47 The Highest shall stay the springs of the stream again, that they may go through: therefore sawest thou the multitude with peace. 48 But those that be left behind of thy people are they that are found within my borders. 49 Now when he destroyeth the multitude of the nations that are gathered together, he shall defend his people that remain. 50 And then shall he shew them great wonders.”
The Gospels define the simplicity of Christian life. Yes or No? You do not need to be a Christian to love all humankind. We choose eternal life by loving all humankind. Even loving those who hate us. This is the command of God. We are His children by design. Matthew 5 is a good read. Matthew 4 is the bribe of Satan that Mohammad accepted 700 years later. Our relationship is a personal one with God. Not as a group. There will be no way to deny our relationship when we ask and receive from the Holy Spirit. Islam is desperate to hold onto their confused and deceived ones who are forced to deceive and hate others. The commands of Christ are at the core of our relationship with God through the Son, Messiah Jesus Christ who died for the forgiveness of all sin if we choose to be reborn and work for the good of others. Sahih Bukhari (52:260) - "...The Prophet said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.' " Sahih Bukhari (83:37) - "Allah's Apostle never killed anyone except in one of the following three situations: (1) A person who killed somebody unjustly, was killed (in Qisas,) (2) a married person who committed illegal sexual intercourse and (3) a man who fought against Allah and His Apostle and deserted Islam and became an apostate." See also Sahih Bukhari (83:17) Sahih Bukhari (84:57) - [In the words of] "Allah's Apostle, 'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'" Sahih Bukhari (89:271) - A man who embraces Islam, then reverts to Judaism is to be killed according to "the verdict of Allah and his apostle." Sahih Muslim (1:30) - "The Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people so long as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah." Sahih Bukhari (52:73) - "Allah's Apostle said, 'Know that Paradise is under the shades of swords'."

The evidence is speculative and seeks to undermine the Ressurection story. In final any serious Bible study grad wouldn't entertain such nonsense unless doubts exist in his or her mind and this garbage doesn't attempt to historically frame the narrative upon sound research it follows historical fiction. Jesus' being sound asleep in the boat while a storm raged all about him has interesting parallels to the first verse of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras: "Yoga consists of stilling the waves of the mind." Jesus is giving us a real life demonstration of this principle of calming or stilling the mind just as one would calm a storm.
@@StellaLovesMusic25 Sorry that your perspective on life is so narrow minded, bigoted and dogmatic. And this first verse from the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali is not about supernatural abilities; it's about disciplining the mind and consciousness, which is an ability that all human beings need to cultivate. If you are able to let go of the obsessive need for blind, dogmatic belief, it just so turns out that Jesus gave some magnificent teachings in the Christian gospels - not just through his words, but also through his actions and his living example, as this episode demonstrates.
@@StellaLovesMusic25 Yoga is not about supernatural abilities. It is about bringing the body and the mind under the yoke or control of Soul, or Spirit - the word "yoga", which means "union" in Sanskrit is related to the English word "yoke". And controlling the waves or fluctuations of the mind and bringing it under control of Soul or Spirit is a thing that all must cultivate. And regarding who Jesus is, or who your particular brand of Christianity believes he is, do you remember the part of the video where Simcha visits the descendants of the original followers of Jesus, the Jewish Christian Ebionites, in Cadiz and talks with them, and learns that they retain the original Jewish Christian belief that Jesus was not divine, but rather a spiritual prophet or teacher? Or did you miss that part of the video, or tune it out? Or, worse yet, are you merely a fundamentalist Christian troll who searches for videos with Christian or biblical themes as venues for attacking those who come from a different belief system than your own? FYI, the Jews believe that holding anyone, even Jesus Christ, up to be God violates the first two commandments, and is idolatry.

Are they actually saying that Jesus failed at anything? Wasn't His dying enough for anyone? That's what the Disciples were for. First in Jerusalem and then to the ends of the earth.
You´re right. Jesus didn´t "fail." That´s all vain interpretation by other agendas. Even bloodline speculation is vanity, and that girl has the right attitude.. As for many Gaddites who didn´t respond, that was their free will. Jesus´ death and resurrection and salvation also aren´t automatic, they make full salvation possible for those who practice integrity. Like the Spain group says, actually....
Jesus's death was meaningless! What did he die for and how did it help us!? If he died for our sins then there is no more sinning but there still is sin, SO?
@@snowrider4495 He didn't die to take away our sinful nature. He died so we could be righteous before God with no sin on our record. I still sin but I don't swim in sin. We will all face judgement someday and you will see just how meaningless Jesus' death was. Sin is the thing that's standing between us and God. Jesus took on the sins of the world. The key to this is repentance. I repent of my sins that I commit knowingly and unknowingly every day. That is what keeps us in Good standing with God. All of our sins that we have committed and are ever going to commit were nailed to the cross. He died on behalf of us because we are not able to save ourselves. So his death was anything but meaningless.

Intriguing reading of the Gospel story. It fits well and much better than the reading the sea was Galilee which is a relatively small lake. There are also Asian traditions that Jesus travelled to the Himalayas and Persia. He was articulate and learned by the age of 12. Why would he not have travelled beyond Palestine before concluding his mission if his mission was divine and to bring the Gospel to all peoples and not only to Jews.

They just told it like it was.

this was great! for my entire life the sea of Galilee seemed not large enough or so rough ever to have such storms as described in the biblical story. often i wondered about that! now we can see so much because of the clever work of the young scholar in this fantastic video! what a smart man! me gusta, me gusta! and to think of the words 'you shall have the sign of Jonah'. God told Jonah to take the Word of God to the pagan land (Ninevah was wicked) and Christianity also has been taken to the entire world! Praise the Lord! remember that He is the light unto the gentiles and the Light of the world!
I really like Simcha as a TV presenter. Though one can question his conclusions, which often include a lot of “maybes” and supposition, he is always thought provoking. His theories make me think. That being said, I think it would be foolish to say that Jesus trip to "Gadara" was a failure, especially since he told the demoniac to go and tell what had happened to him... at first they wanted Jesus to leave because they blamed him for killing their pigs. but if we continue reading, we see that Jesus actually returns, and he is welcomed this second time because of the testimony of the demoniac.

If we have not accepted that Jesus died to pay the price for our sins, have repented of sin and asked Him for forgiveness, and asked Him to be our Lord and Saviour then the Light of the World is not in us. He said, Matthew 6:23 (NKJV)
“But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great [is] that darkness!”
John said, "9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."

But Jesus said, "Many will come from east and west, and recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven; but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
It seems there is already gnashing of teeth, about 44 minutes and 3 seconds of it.

Yes! “Other sheep I have; them also I must bring.”

Also unfaithful Israel were chastised many many times in the bible for adopting pagan practices and false gods. It is entirely possible for their to be a herd of pigs in Israel. This is soooooo interesting and I think they have found this place but alot of people also believe Jesus went to India and Tibet. Maybe after this trip or as a part of an extended trip? There are monks in Tibet that have manuscripts of a very special traveler

Sais a person who quotes the man teaching that eating food sacrificed to idols is okey (See 1. Corinthians), whereas Jesus condemns it in Revelation twice. You are right about the rest, read your Bible and do your own study!!!
Simcha has no agenda, just a scholar and archeologist doing his job.
It is okey to be curios but as our Lord Jesus Christ said "Blessed is the one who has not seen, but believes." Amen.

Looking at the specific text we see the chapter before he is delivering a sermon at the Mount, and the next he is healing people in Cesarea. This takes us back to the first. While I can agree on the part of Jesus' similar event to that of Jonah, I disagree with the direction of story that the authors of this documentary were heading due to following reasons:
1) Jonah was in fact tasked by God to embark on a mission to Nineveh located somewhere between the borders of Turkey & Iraq.
Following questions should be given light:
- Why God asked Jonah to travel to Nineveh in the first place when he could've chosen someone else from there or nearby place to be a prophet & with whom people of Nineveh could've recognise and follow?
All the prophets humbled themselves as servants of God
None from any of them was ever capable and qualified to say that they are saviour and messiah.

2 Chronicles 20:36-37 KJV
“35 And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly:
36 And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Eziongaber.
37 Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the Lord hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.”
Ezion-Geber was King Solomon’s seaport that he built for the sole purpose of travel with Hiram’s men to Ophir and Tarshish, which was about a year and a half journey, to get gold, etc. for the Temple.
1 Kings 9:26-28 KJV
“King Solomon built a fleet of ships at Ezion-Geber which is near Eloth, on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom. Hiram sent his servants with the fleet, mariners who had knowledge of the sea, to serve with Solomon’s men. They came to Ophir (O-FEER), where they obtained 420 talents of gold and brought it to King Solomon”.
2 Chronicles 9:21 KJV
“For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Hiram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.”
2 Esdras 13:40-50
“40 Those are the ten tribes, which were carried away prisoners out of their own land in the time of Osea the king, whom Salmanasar the king of Assyria led away captive, and he carried them over the waters, and so came they into another land.
I pray that you will encounter Jesus one day.
