Furthermore, if you do get close, a well timed Quick Boost could yield a dodge, or you getting caught in the AOE, that coupled with long reload times, equals you getting shredded by your opponent's gunfire or swords.
you want to pair weapons that drain their EN or force use of quickboost like missiles or machineguns. if you tilt your camera in the direction of their dodge you can aid the autolock to land a grenade shot at the end of their boost.

They give you slower gameplay under the guise of having a more tactical approach, however, they still throw the ridiculous giant robot-crab-thing that fires a salvo of high speed missiles at you, and when that happens it just feels unbalanced and unfair. You will cartainly wish the AC's were a bit faster. Older AC games were more about the setup, but AC V is like that too.
Nah, i use "Tanks" legs, and i go in a corner with my Massive canon, coupled with gattling. My Anti-missile system can stop 10 rockets/ grenades at long range. Even if your fast, you can't avoid the fatality, cuz i'm very patient.

We are talking are talking about 2000mph to the left and 2000mph to the right in just 1 second on lighter builds. Actually I did once make an anonymous emblem in the generator that looks like my icon. I'm only as anonymous as the next guy over. Still, a speed build with a grenade launcher or a sword swimmer are probably the most effective combos I have and I find it easy to prey on heavier built ACs with them. Almost unfairly so to a good pilot. Each weapon has it's value.
4 grenade cannons? Do you know how much weight that takes up from your load? You'd have to use heavy biped legs or even a tank tracks to carry those. Once those weps are gone, swords are not even an option considering your slow speed, and you're already lagging behind with reduced speed with your heavy legs, and a sitting duck to those with light/middleweight frames. Also, the ballistics velocity of those grenades are SLOW as hell. You'd have to get up in the AC's face to make sure it hits.
The older games (PS1-PS2 era) were a balance between fast paced-blow stuff up and tactics, they draw the line in between. I agree with the guy. AC V is too slow and it almost feels like a strategy game. Sure, there was bugger all tactics in AC4/4A but its gameplay is just plain fun. After playing those, I can't get myself to enjoy AC V. Verdict Day will be much more of the same.
