Day, I really appreciate the way you laid this out. So many institutions out there make the whole cybersecurity umbrella complicated and to some extent obscure the perspective or path for aspiring cyber professionals. You are a truly inspiring individual and your laser focus is truly exceptional. Love from Australia 🇦🇺

There is a lot of training as well as certifications out there. Much of it for free from Microsoft, AWS and others. Experience being the best teacher, obtaining "generalist" certifications are also a big help. Such as: CISSP, CCSP for example. Azure and AWS certs are also beneficial.

I have to say that your to the point attitude and down to earth realness is really transporting the good message of the video.
As a beginner I did CC, now I am doing the Microsoft CS Analyst Cert, and I lab everything that makes sense there. I did the SIEM lab by Josh and wanted to do some more projects on the iam/blueteam side. Would you say the offensive certs are worth it or can I stick with microsoft's Applied Skills Labs and labbing my way towards an AZ-500?

    • @sezdesigns5986

personally, if it's WGU i'd recommend the Cloud Degree due to the certs you gain versus the Cyber Security one. Cloud certs are generally cheaper though i've noticed though so if you're wanting to use the degree to get the more expensive certs then Cyber Security would be the way to go.... they are honestly very similar and just depends on which route you wanna take, but they play hand in hand so you can't go wrong in either route.
