@itssarah7239 and EfyaKimora thank you so much for this documentary. This is a perspective that is not widely reported, if at all. This is important work. Thank you again.
@@goddessdennis6394f@@Lish talk when did Ghana fought war ? Foreigners are in Liberia taking over your country! You people don’t want to go back home and develop Liberia
The United Nations did not purchase the land where the camp is situated. I lived on that camp for almost a decade .That land is owned by the traditional people of that region. The UN ended resettlement back to Liberia years back. People accepted the benefits and decided to stay. Some people like my family decided to leave. Others left and returned back to the camp. Liberia has been at peace for about 20 years now. You can't be a refugee for the rest of your life when your country is at peace. Either integrate in the Ghanaian society or return home.
Unfortunately, they just started demolishing the camp site 4 days ago. The local chiefs have decided to close it down and build a local market on the site. Over 600 people are now homeless.

You are so welcome 🤝🥰
Our people should try and return home. The war has been over in Liberia for over 10 years now. Liberia is now thriving.
Okay
Ghanaians are still living in Liberia peacefully since the beginning of their own war.
They need to go home to Liberia

Thank you
I will try to give back to this camp 🙏 I really appreciate your efforts.
Great 🤝
I admire how the tour guy rationalised her perception about the Camp. Single story is dangerous.
Why is this camp still standing?
Nice video
Thank you
No place is like home ❤

The tour guy knowledge of Liberia civil war was correct and thanks 🙏 for walking us through the famous Liberian refugee camps in Ghana
🤝
It's even deeper than that. More big hands were behind that war with selfish gain😢
How does UN give land in Ghana??? Do the UN owe land in Ghana? The UN must have financially paid for the lease maybe.
It was very sad, i met Prince Yomie Johnson the man who killed President Samuel Doe in Lagos, in early nineties
You privelege to meet a prince
❤❤❤😢
