    Wow, simply incredible. Aly is an absolute monster and a jiu-jitsu phenom in his own right. Mikey's use of leverage and balance against a fighter 3-4 weight classes above him is the best I've ever seen. (I started training in 2002).

    This is an absolutely amazing performance by Mikey, to fight an absolute behemoth and one of the best at his weight in Aly to one advantage. It's a testament to how technical and effective his game is. That said, I kinda hope he doesn't make a habit of it for his body's sake. You can see during the scramble at the end of the match how much the weight coming down on top of him took out of Mikey. Weight classes exist for a reason, and nobody ever thought less of guys like Bruno Malfacine and Rafa Mendes because they didn't try to overcome guys like Roger or Buchecha who utterly dwarfed them.

      @Kind citizen- unlike many I am loyal. Almost like being a Patriot of the🇺🇸. There are some policies that I might not agree with. I believe some things could be handled better but in the end it’s where me and my children have called home and family for about 16 years. When you see that ppl try their best to come to the U. S. to learn everything they can bcuz they know it’s the greatest system and it sets the standard for all others to follow. Then ppl leave and try to use all the knowledge they acquired here. It’s the same thing.
      Did u know Team Lloyd Irvin MMA has had the #1 kids program in the country on and off for the past 20 years?? Under Coach Danny Achnick and LI.
      How about the fact of the mere numbers off BJJ World Champions🏆? Number of UFC , Muay Thai, Kick Boxers that have come from there even though we are a very small program. So yeah , obviously something works.
      That’s just my humble opinion.
      The organization as a whole. Not just one person. I still call them family and support them. 🥋💯🤙🏾💪🏾

    • @factsdc3719
      @factsdc3719 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s not turning a blind eye. Like I said, there are things in this world that I don’t particularly agree with, in regards to being a part of a larger organization. For example: I’m a U. S. Navy S. A. R. C. Veteran. I was proud to serve my country with pride. Even though in US military history : American soldiers wiped out the Native Americans and stole their land, Navy Sailors in the 1950’s in California beat and raped Hispanic women in California during the “Zoot Suit Riots”, Army soldiers killed, raped , and tortured ppl in Vietnam in 1960’s, during the Middle East conflicts between 1990’s and present day Americans do horrible things, etc. BUT guess what I still love this country bcuz it’s my home. They have done some fucked up shit but I still stand on principal of loyalty.

    As a big man, watching videos like these only makes me want to squash small people. I just need to think of it as improving their jiu-jitsu.

    I don't think coaches should be allowed to be yelling instructions during the match. That should be the time for the athletes themselves figure things out and do what they can. If they lose, fine! learn and come back stronger.
