The last minute of Everdream, with the double bass drum and music intensity, is like a runaway steam train with Floor as the conductor and the guys stoking that boiler 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
It’s a vicious circle. You expect to be surprised by every song. You are surprised by the next song. Then you’re surprised that you’re surprised. The same sequence happens every song 😂😂
Floor is greatest singer ever for me, but Marko has a great and powerful voice also. He was quoted as saying when he sang with the first two singers of Nightwish (Tarja and Anette) he would have to hold back his vocals sometimes not to overpower them, but with Floor he never had that worry.
Tarja did this beautifully. But Floor, she just smashes ass with this rendition. Earthquake, tsunami, eruption, landslide all rolled into a Floorgasmic musical climax. Not at all bad for the ‘new girl’ , and GLS STILL TO COME!!!
The only Nightwish songs you NEED to do homework for are The Poet and the Pendulum (essential) and Shoemaker (useful). Other than that enjoy the ride. There's the side projects and solo stuff too, and they're as good as you'd hope them to be.....
As far as Ever Dream is concerned, I consider it to be the most accurate description of the human experience for a love song ever made. Especially when Jukka, the drummer, is frantically playing on his kit, and Floor sounds so desperate with her vocals during the bridge right after the solo. Edit: If you want to hear some tragically beautiful vocals from Floor, and you don't even see her singing, I highly recommend reacting to Sabaton - Christmas Truce. Floor is married to Hannes Van Dahl, Sabaton's drummer. And in case you didn't know, Sabaton sings about military history -- as here, about the "Christmas Truce" of World War I, in 1914. To hear Floor's vocals, you need to watch the video all the way through, as Floor doesn't come in until the credits are rolling. And speaking of performing, very few bands try and put on a show or make a video the way Sabaton does, with Nightwish and Iron Maiden being two.
Some Marco in the lead songs : -The Islander, Tampere 2015 live -While your lips are still red, Wembley 2015 live -High Hopes, End of an Era 2005 live please react to them as well
Marco solo (and more surprises)... While Your Lips Are Still Red from Wembley The Islander from Tampere High Hopes from Hartwall Arena 2005 Balads: Sleeping Sun from Tampere Dead Boy's Poem from Buenos Aires
Part of the experience not available to a newcomer is that this was one of those concert moments when the bend goes from playing newer songs into playing a beloved old hit for that nostalgia throwback. New vocalist brings something new to it, while audience interaction is set up to be way louder than it was in 2002 when Everdream was new song. This small changes in the arrangement between presenting a song from new album and a hit from almost a decade prior do huge job in designing a great show. It's essential part of the performance, fitting arrangement for the specific show, avenue and year of the event. They put a lot of effort into it.
Marko Hietala (pron:: HEE-ah-Tallah) is a classically trained guitarist, bassist, songwriter and incredible vocalist both solo and in harmony. A song that's must-hear Nightwish, with Marko singing lead...isn't on the list. Its the band's tribute to Pink Floyd with High Hopes, live, End Of An Era 2005 concert. You will find a new appreciation for their talent!
For Marco clean vocals, others mentioned several songs, however The Islander, Ave Maria, and Kiss While Your Lips are still Red and clean leads, also The Voice of My Father, while High Hopes and Phantom show his grit a bit more
Absolutely gorgeous indeed! You are so correct. This was a beautiful performance of a simpler song than Ghost Love Score or The Greatest Show on Earth. When you get through Gabriel Bardac's list of Nightwish performances, I encourage you to check out Nightwish, this year 2022, at the massive Hellfest 2022 festival. Such a wonderful sunset show. The entire concert was live-streamed by ARTE CONCERTS. They uploaded the full concert video which has already been viewed more than 2.1 million times in just over 2 months. Here's a link to the hour-and-a-half show: th-cam.com/video/pYIX1Jyb64E/w-d-xo.html
So,.... This song, believe it or not ,at that time, was the hardest song for Floor (vocally). But ,...THIS IS Floor Jansen Ladies and Gentlemen. And this song, is now on every Nightwish Live set-list and in Floor's solo set-list !!!! Also, Marko really showing off on this one 😁. NWSU 🤘😎🤘.
An awesome song and a great reaction! I would love to see you react to Dream Theater. I can't see that you've done that before. Breaking all illusions, Illumination theory, The count of Tuscany, The best of times, The glass prison, A view from the top of the world...or just anything else from them 😊
Marko does lead vocals in High Hopes and The Islander which will give you a good idea of his skills. Nightwish really had 2 skilled lead singers when Marko was with them.
To really get the full scope of Marko’s talents check out the live version of The Islander with him on lead vocal and guitar. It’s extremely impressive.
If you like Marko's voice then High Hopes - End of an Era, The Islander - Live in Tampere and While Your Lips Are Still Red - Live at Wembley are must listens.
Since you asked: this is a love song from (young) Tuomas to his future love, who he was yet to meet. This is why the list is there. Nightwish is a journey through the mind of Tuomas. The list is there to keep the story in order. (even though it has flashbacks and flash forwards)

I love that description !!! :D
As a lifelong railfan, I approve this message.
Funny enough, I always thought the double bass sounds like an engine that won't quit. 😁
Marko sang lead on their cover/tribute of Pink Floyd's High Hopes. He killed it, you are going to want to see that.

Floor has said that this song is one of the most difficult songs to sing. And she kills it everytime. Hell yeah

This one was a big European hit single for Nightwish in 2002.

Do check out Marko singing in their tribute/cover of Pink Floyd's song High Hopes. Emppu does stellar guitar work in it as well. ;)
Spectacular! 🤘🤘🤘

It's a shame instruments too loud when the singer CAN SING.
Tough song to sing .....Floor is waaaaaaayyyyy up there that last minute .
Nice reaction but you need to adjust your sound , your mic is very deep sounding n the MV sound is low .
Floor Jansen is better than Amy Lee, this is a hill I will die on, and Evernessence is third most played band on my play list
Sound is not in level
Easy to forget that this was Floors first concert with Nightwish, which makes it even more impressive.
Wow i never knew that, thanks for this info👍
at that point she was about 10 month with the band , not her first concert with them.
Not even close. Try again.
@@Vainda Give me a link to a major concert they did prior to this with Floor as lead. Thx
