      That’s the justification for horrific behavior. These people who aren’t suffering mental illnesses suffer from a massive ego. “I’m not a bad guy.” Translates to I can’t do wrong or I’m make sure that it appears I’m never wrong. An empty bottle of vodka in the car says he’s an alcoholic. This is terrible.

Drunks are also not fit to drive for the whole of their journey, where as texters are only not fit while using their phone. So at time of accident he was probably at 0.12ish BAC and even higher, maybe 0.14ish when he started the car up to drive, and since that was after airport customs and baggage etc he was probably quite drunk at the peak effects of the alcohol, maybe up to 0.18 BAC... to choose to drive coming down just a few hours after being 0.18 BAC is absolutely absurd.

      Tailgating, particularly anywhere around either morning or afternoon rush hour. I find vans the worst. Next it's aggressive middle aged women who seem to have no clue about the 2 second rule. Normally in some sort of ridiculously sized SUV. The opposite side of the spectrum is middle and outside lane hoggers doing 20mph below the maximum limit. Nothing in the left lane for miles. Finally the tic toc and Snapchat users glued to their mobile in their lap or right hand. No chance of stopping if someone has to slam on the anchors in front of them. I drive a lot of miles Monday to Friday. I find it very stressful.

    • @trevormj
      @trevormj หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Just as a thought - I have ridden (motorbike) and driven (car) many many miles in France and have always thought their drivers to be very compliant with regard to speed and general courtesy. They have however a worse death rate per driven miles (kms) than the UK. My one reason for this (per my observation ) is that they drive too close to the vehicle in front giving them less time to avoid accidents. Managing the safety cushion (both in front and behind) advocated by the Advanced Driving Course is indeed a life saver.
