I live in Montana, so imagine my surprise when I found out they were going to play in Spokane Wa. That's a 6 hr drive from my house. Christmas, it was Christmas !! 😏❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘
I live in London so imagine my surprise when i found out they weren't going to play anywhere near me but were going to play in Montana instead & i knew my Maidiac friend Lonnie lived in Montana & nowhere near me.😯
Band-Maid always brings an ONSET of love, appreciation and happiness to their viewers. Why? Because they're so damn good -- good-natured, good-hearted, good-looking, and beyond good as writers, players and performers. Wow, right?! Thx, Red!
I never thought i'd be subbed to a channel where the reactor is my arch nemesis in English football terms. He's a Liverpool supporter & i'm a Red Devil so it shouldn't ever happen but that's the power of B-M, they help people to Conqueror all :)
I haven't seen a reactor that doesn't love "Onset" live ! Thanks Red for supporting the Maids =) Please check out "Real Existence" Live or "The Non-Fiction Days" MV =)
And your journey has just begun. The Ladies have over 120 original songs, and if you add in aternate versions they have over 150 songs for our listening pleasure. So Sit back, fasten your seatbelt keep your hands and feet inside the music, and Thank you for Flying Air Band-Maid.
I bought a ticket in first class which meant anywhere in the plane. Kanami did the passenger safety procedure signals but really i could tell she was just doing her little swingy arms dance cos she didn't know the safety procedure signals.😏
In the past couple of years I've fallen in love with Band-Maid, Tokyo Groove Jyoshi, The Jazz Avengers and Shoka Okubo Blues Project. They're all out of Japan and earlier this year I came across Nao Yoshioka who is also from Japan but is based out of New York now.
@@redsaob, for Nao Yoshioka I'd suggest Tokyo Funk Sessions 2022 video. The song is Love Is The Answer. Band-Maid I'd say Onset and Thrill(first hit). The Jazz Avengers I'd say Pick Up The Pieces and/or Still Got It. Tokyo Groove Jyoshi probably any of the long sessions or the ones Juna wrote like Spark, Funk No. 1, Tokyo Groove, Princess of Funk. Rise Up is a good one also.
Love the Maids. Loving the discovery journey, too. “Onset” is one of several instrumentals and they’re all quite different. I can’t tell you how hard that is for a band to achieve. I’m riding along with you, Red, and it’s a lot like an actual road trip. I do have some good ideas for stops along the way, because I’ve travelled here myself. You haven’t heard “the song that saved the band” yet: “Thrill.” Knowing what you know now, I think you’ll have fun seeing the Maids before they really got their feet under them. And speaking of feet, it’ll be a rare occasion when our Barefoot Assassin is wearing shoes.
There is actually no studio version of this song. And, yeah, they generally do Onset and From Now On back to back in concert with a Miku song ahead if them. And it doesn't wear you out, it jacks you up when they are 15 yarrds in front of you. Been there twice.
There is a white room studio video of Onset. BAND-MAID performed Onset and From Now On back to back 4 times last year (I saw two of them) and have not done so this year yet in their 18 one-man shows.
Mate! Greetings on another hot day before a typhoon crashing on our heads! Imagine that this is actually an "old piece" of theirs, their first instrumental actually, performed on stage only to give a rest to their singer, Saiki! Tlanlmass justly mentioned their very new video song called Shambles composed for a famous anime movie. It would be nice to compare what they do now after 10 years of existence (The members never changed!). You could also check two great ballads on video of their own, namely "Daydreaming" and "Memorable" for another facet of their talent and end up with the cheeky "Influencer" (also on video)! To finish you could compare their livr rendition of "Puzzle" bot electric and acoustic. Tears shedding assured! Take good care of yourself! Robert-Gilles (living under the benign care of Mount Fuji!)
@@TomClark-Futoura You rub it in, Tom. It may be 4yrs+ since the Maids last played London but they'll make up for it with the best shows ever when they return with all these US practice shows behind them.😏

@@GaryHolloway-810 I feel for you my friend but I'm not going to complain. I think they like the pacific northwest, it should remind them of home.
@@lonniekramlich6241 Lonnie you're right cos London would remind them how much more expensive everything is than home :)
Band-Maid has just released a brand new record last Thursday Aug. 3, 2023. It's called Shambles.

@@TomClark-Futoura I didn't see that, i didn't see that.😖
@@GaryHolloway-810 Sorry. Maybe we're not all on the same team. The Red Devil Maids, then. 👍
@@TomClark-Futoura Yes that's much better.😁 Anyway Tom it was nice knowing you on this channel before we both get blocked :)

I have seen them play Onset in person, it is soooo good. Thanks for the reaction!

Any suggestions of songs to start with from Tokyo Groove Jyoshi, The Jazz Avengers, Shoka Okubo Blues Project & Nao Yoshioka?

There is a studio version but it’s not as good. Like most Band Maid songs.

The studio CD bonus disk is just slightly less exciting...otherwise, I've never heard another live track so closely matching the studio recording.
