In anticipation of Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, I rewatched 1 and 2 then watched number 3 for the first time! I wasn't a fan of number 2 way back when but has that chancged all these years later? And does number 3 legit suck as much as EVERYBODY said it did??

I thought 3 was decent. I loved the soundtrack too. I had the cassette and probably still do somewhere.
But don't you at least think it felt very different from the first two?

Beverly Hills Cop 3 was better than Comimg 2 America. Talk about terrible sequels.
I rank them as 2, 1, 3. 2 is a feel-good movie in my opinion.

I have to say that your comparison of Beverly Hills Cop 3 to Ghostbusters 2 is absolutely spot-on!

I absolutely love the first film 🙌 an absolute classic! Second was really really good too 🙈 but Eddie Murphy films in the 90s took that mad nosedive from the 80s and Beverly Hills Cop 3 is a prime example of that 😢 3 doesn’t belong in the trilogy for me 🙈 hopefully 4 will be good, but I ain’t holding my breath
I thought 90s Eddie movies definitely undulated with films like Metro, another 48 hours, and Dr Dolittle, which was alright but no Eddie classic hehe .. But them again you ALSO had Boomerang (classic!), Life (come on!) and The Nutty Professor, which is possibly the best film and performance Murphy gives simultaneously 🙏🏿🤎👌🏿🔥🫶🏿
@@onepotmedia9766 Boomerang… I didn’t rate, but I loved it. Maybe comparison has been the thief of joy here. Reflecting on it I must’ve rewatched that 20 times! Yet, I can’t help but comparing it to a Coming to America or Beverly Hills Cop 😃🙌 think a rewatch needs scheduling for Life and The Nutty Professor though 😍 I haven’t seen them since release, and hopefully that’s not an indication they were ‘mid’ to use genZ speak 😂

I had to Google him because I couldn't remember who he was hehe... I don't exactly see it. Maybe when he was a tad younger perhaps.... But no offense taken obviously 😉😁🙏🏿
@onepotmedia9766 maybe it's the lighting....and the wave cap. I know his work as a writer, but have only seen him in an interview and on Chappelle show.
