I love how you always provide info and history on the places you visit. Glad you fell in love with the beauty of New England and the joy of lobster rolls! Safe travels
I grew up right down the road from Portland Headlight. I come from a long line of fishermen and lobstermen. I used to bait the traps for my Grandfather on his boat. I still live here and will never leave my beautiful state of Maine!!! I love Maine life!!!❤
That is so awesome! We had such a blast baiting the traps in our previous video and getting to learn about lobstering. Would be really cool to have grown up around that!
We just returned from Portland. We loved every moment there! Thank you for your review of the city. Because of the information you provided we were able to plan a wonderful visit! We hit most of the spots you highlighted here and we were NOT disappointed!! Bite into Maine is a must.
My family and I went to Maine in May from Florida on Amtrak. It was so much fun!! The weather was perfect when we was there, not to hot or cold. Maine is so beautiful!!
It’s always fun to start your day with coffee! The donuts look so delicious! I want to try the pumpkin one! Wow, Portland is beautiful! Looks like a fun town! The old fort and the history behind it is so interesting! Also I love old abandoned buildings! I’ll take a few of those Whoopie pies! Great vlog guys! This was so much fun! See you in the next one!
This video pretty much captures our food experiences in Maine. Can’t remember which Holy Donut we visited, but what an interesting way to make donuts lol. Fun fact - we got really tired at the end of our trip, April shacked up in a hotel and dropped me off downtown where I proceeded to hit 8 breweries (Portland has more per capita I believe than any other city) and ate 3 lobster rolls, a lobster grilled cheese and a lobster Mac n cheese. The pants were a little tight that day.
Fantastic! I was born in Portland, Maine and my family moved away from there when I was just 1 year old, so I have never really gotten to experience or see any of the city or surround areas until I watched your video. Thanks for taking me back to my birth city and for making me want to revisit soon!
Welcome to Maine, I’ve lived in Portland since ‘82! Will be heading out in my van next September, I’m sure I will visit many beautiful places, at the same time there is nothing like New England!!
Mark Weins was the FIRST TH-camRS We watched 6 years ago that lead us be be TH-camrs and the rabbit hole! Fabulous video everything looks delicious! Great video! ~Cara ❤️
Thanks for bringing us along. I think my favorite video was the views and intense fall colors of picturesque Vermont, but loved it all really and learned a lot 💖
It's hard to beat Vermont! But we loved all of the states and really can't pick a favorite. They were all so different! We're glad you enjoyed the New England videos!
Adam - add "luxurious" to the list of useful, descriptive food words right next to "pillowy" ;) Thank you both for sharing your adventures. It helps scratch the travel itch when we can't get away ourselves. Have fun in Virginia! Side note: just booked a February trip to Big Bend and Guadalupe Mountains and then rewatched your videos about the area as preparation.
Lol! Now we gotta find some luxurious, pillowy foods! That is going to be an awesome trip! We are itching to get back to both ourselves and explore them a lot more!
I lived in Cape Elizabeth for several years in the 80's. We lived about a mile from Ft. Williams Park. I spent so much time riding my bike down there. My neighbors had kids my age and we would play soccer at that big field close to the entrance of the park. There is a hill that we used for sledding when it snowed that went down into that field. We would play in those old ruins for hours during the Summer time. At night I would leave my bedroom window open and the sound of the fog horn lulled me to sleep. Those were absolutely the happiest years of my childhood...and arguably my life. But then we moved back to Texas. My life ceased being happy. I was a happy, well adjusted kid who excelled in baseball. Even little league coaches told my parents I had a special talent for pitching and I might be able to play college ball some day....I had many friends in Cape Elizabeth. It was such a close knit community. My best friend lived right next door to me. I was excited to wait every morning at the bus stop to go to school even when snow was several feet deep in the winter time. We didn't care. We still played football in the snow while waiting for the bus to pick us up. After my 4th grade year my parents made the decision that we just needed to move back to Dallas. That's when my happy childhood ended. I think my parents realized the mistake they made moving back to Texas. In some ways I never fully forgave them for it.
Oh how our mouths were watering with the memories you conjured up. We have been thinking about those potato donuts since you had the cider ones. Lobster rolls seem expensive but when you think about all the work that goes into them let alone how many lobsters were needed for each roll they are more than worth it. They should be budgeted for in every trip to Maine. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the wonderful video, you two make it look easy, I'm sure it's a lot of work (and fun)! I live only a few hours from Portland, been there many times but now I want to go again!
Wow those lobster rolls looked absolutely delicious! I'm a huge seafood fan, especially black mussel. Thanks for all the epic uploads, I just adore your style of filming. Take care and drive safely.
Yay, I missed you guys on Thursday but hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving 🦃 It was a very normal day here in the UK so was a bit of a nasty surprise to not see a new video from you both! Fort Williams park was all kinds of stunning and I love the lighthouse! Holy moly to the price of those lobster rolls. I thought you were going to say for both of them at $26, but $52 for 2?! But you guys sold them for sure! I found Mark Weins so helpful when planning what and where to eat in Jordan so awesome to hear you guys reference him! Then I hear at the end that Adam, you really love his content 🙌
It always feels like an eternity on the weeks we only upload one! More of those weeks to come soon as our videos die down, but many adventures to come in 2022! The price definitely was more than we like to spend on food, but it was SO worth it for the experience and how delicious they were. We'd have a problem if we lived there, we'd want to buy them all of the time haha! So happy that Mark helped you in Jordan! We have yet to get to use many of his international recommendations, but cannot wait until the day we do! Adam has a man crush on him lol!
Fortunate enough to live within a reasonable drive & make the trip a few times a year. Been going to Maine since the early 70’s great views, food, beer, & people …what wonderful memories.
You guys were right when you said you thought I’d love Portland, Maine! It looked like such a cool town from the urban design to the fun restaurants and shops. Those lobster rolls looked luxurious down to the last bite! Thanks for showing us more great spots to visit in Maine.
Glad to see you’re still in our home state in our backyard. The Old Port is such quaint area to visit. We love our Portland Headlight and Fort Williams! We’ve been there so many times, we’ve lost count. As for the Holy Donuts, I’m sorry to say my husband and I didn’t like them very much when we tried them. We have been born and raised in Maine and this is the very first time we’ve seen a Maine lobster roll marketed as have chives on top. We prepare our with just a little of mayonnaise and melted butter on top. Great video!
We hear people tend to love or not as much love the donuts. They are definitely different! The hybrid of mayo and melted butter sounds good! I believe you can get that there as well!
You guys are so entertaining and helpful with your traveling knowledge bombs! I've been watching you guys for over a year now. We just got back from Oregon and I decided to try my hand at making some TH-cam travel videos of my own. It's hard work, but I enjoyed it! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you so much for watching and the support David! How awesome that you are now making videos! It is definitely hard work haha, but they are fun to create!
Everyone visiting Portland on TH-cam neglects to mention the Battle for Portland Harbor in 1863 when a Confederate ship sneaked into Portland Harbor lobbing cannon fire into the city before being counterattacked and captured. Those defensive outposts in the harbor have been around for a long time. Congratulations on an excellent video of Portland!
Beautiful old buildings, wonderful foods and decent weather. You two film great travel videos! Visiting Maine is on my bucket list and we hop to visit next year. Thanks
After your Maine videos my husband and I decided that we should add lobster roll sliders to our Christmas menu. Thor lobstah rolls looked soooo good. Glad you had a great time in Maine!
That was awesome!! Just as the video started, I thought - I forgot to tell them to try the potato donuts - then, sure enough, y’all were eating them!! LOL! They are so good!!! Plus Lobster rolls and Blueberry Soda - all so yummy!! I got tickled watching you two have your ME style picnic; made me super hungry too!! I never get enough of that lighthouse - one of my favorites!! Always sad to leave ME and New England - happy you will be back some day!!
We had to try those donuts! And they were super good and unique! We loved our little picnic. It is hard to beat lobster rolls, whoopie pies, and blueberry soda with the water view!
You should go there in the SPRING!!!! The amazing flowers in bloom around the lighthouse are absolutely stunning!!! Also, please do NOT leave Maine without stopping by a Starbucks for a Wild Maine Blueberries 'n Cream Frappucino -- BEST DRINK I EVER HAD!!!!
We unfortunately left over a month ago, but good to know about the Starbucks drink! We try to avoid Starbucks when we can get local coffee instead, but we would break that rule for that drink.
Great video. Spending a week in NH soon and will be doing a day trip to Portland-had Holy Donut, Ft. Williams Park and Old Port on my list. Great to watch- thanks!
We hope you have a great trip! Be sure to check out our website as well. We have a New England road trip guide that might help you out as well! Thanks for watching!
Great stuff! We will be visiting Maine next summer, and we'll use your last few videos for ideas! I can't believe you guys have never had lobster before!
Ok now I'm hungry...should have ate something before watching this vid. Looks like a fun and relaxing time in Portland. I love those coastal cities so much like that. And thanks for those other TH-cam recommendations...I had not heard of those before so I'll have to give them a watch. Cheers!
This video was perfection! I was deciding where I wanted to spend my birthday this October, bet Maine and Vermont. Y’all help me make my decision 😊.. Thank you for this video.
I think my favorite part of your videos is just hearing you describe food. Haha. I’m always hungry afterwards. ❤️ I loved Portland although we just had breakfast there, then spent the day at the Portland Head Light. Stunning spot.
Portland is SO adorable and all the foods/drinks looked SO yummy! I love how it’s on the water…such a great combination and so beautiful! I also love when you do walking shots together on the street…looks like you are being filmed by someone else! Konie is so cute in the water taking bites at it! Those tunnels were a little scary…was Kona hesitant? Great job once again on showing so much beauty and history!
Hello Adventurers😊😊😊, I'm so thrilled that y'all got to explore the beautiful city of Portland and SPECTACULAR Cape Elizabeth and that AWESOME lighthouse. Y'all finally got to taste those DELICIOUS LOBSTER ROLLS😊😊. .im sure that you enjoyed every bite of those rolls and I love Whoppie PIES...so TASTY that they melt in your mouth Ohhh yeah!! So, your heading to Virginia...are we driving across the SPECTACULAR Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel?? Hmmm...i can't wait to see the next video👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍!
Portland was amazing and so were those lobster rolls! And we won't have too many videos to share from the VA area since we were mostly just enjoying time with friends, but we did drive across that bridge (off camera) to visit some special friends in Maryland for a fun few days on the Chesapeake!
I enjoyed your video. We are Canadians travelling to New Brunswick last week of September 2023. On our way home, we wanted to visit the state of Maine for the first time and spend two nights. Our 14 month old Irish Setter is making the trip with us. I love that your video showed places to go that allowed dogs. Any other recommendation would be appreciated.
I have to admit, watching you on some of those steep hikes recently stressed me out a little. It was nice to see you chill out (& stuff your faces) on solid ground for a change! Portland looks amazing! Cheers!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Drove from the Boston area up to Acadia, then through Augusta and got on to the Kancamaugus highway across NH, then into the Adirondack's in NY. Somewhere we went to Ben and Jerry's which was fun also.
Potato donuts, I have never heard of those before. The next time I am in New England, Boston probably, will have to try a "lob-staw" role. Very nice videos and shots of New England.
Awwwe those lobster rolls looked so good! I can't bring myself to pay $26 when they were just $15 five years ago and $5 with employee discount at the restaurant I worked at in my 20's.
It seems like a lot, but they are high quality and we’re more than happy to pay the price to help small businesses succeed as they manage higher food costs 😃
You both never disappoint with your videos. We used your South Dakota and Utah videos as reference during our cross country trip this summer. Now I’m planning our New England trip for next summer using lots of your recommendations. Anything else you can recommend please share, thank you for outstanding content.
That is awesome! So glad you have been able to experience SD and UT! We will have lots of New England guides on our website in the next couple months, so keep an eye out for those because they have way more info than our videos!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I’ll stay tuned keep the greatness coming. By the way, those lobster rolls looked amazing, I’m pretty sure based on both of your facial expression when you bit the buttered lobster roll, they must have tasted really good.
Nice area, and as you go south , Wells, Oguncquit , York Village, Harbor, Beach, Kittery, Kittery Point on rte 1A to 103.. Nice ride historic area. Shore ride.
How I wished you tried the pastries at Standard Baking Company, the lobster roll at Eventide Oyster Co. and the milkshake at Duckfat. I love Portland, Maine! Can't wait to visit again from the west coast.
So we used to live in the apartment building right next to Tandem, though it was not Tandem at the time. There used to be a family that lived in an RV parked on the property selling boxes of used DVDs. Of course, the day after we moved out of the building, Tandem opened. Anyway, glad you enjoyed Portland!
I giggled when you said, "The MAINE thing.. the MAINE difference..." 😆 So punny. Great video; not sure when I'll make it out there, but now I have reco's for places to visit!
Glad you enjoyed maine. We got lucky this year and actually had fall this year. When you come back check out eventide or jays oysters for seafood. Highroller for a different and amazing spin on lobster rolls. There in the oldport. If you make your way down to kennebunk port which you should my favorite lobersroll is at the claimshack. There sides are incredibly good and the view is amazing. I've lived in maine for 16 years now and love calling it home.
When i first saw that cat standing on the red brick i thought: How is it standing on the wall like that?:) Dah! Glad ya did the east coast Portland. Food looked good. Funny i was eating a donut too. Be cool, stay safe and peace.
I love your content and thank you for the format of your videos. Also I do watch Mark Weins and Somebody’ Feed Phil. Can’t wait for the next adventure.
@@AdventuresofAplusK you’re most welcome. If you ever come back to the Plains of the Dakotas, travel to Western South Dakota. Hike Bear Butte and Black Elk Peak. Both have significant cultural value to the Oglala Lakota (Sioux) People.
Looks like a lot of fun checking out Portland. The Lobster rolls looked good, but I don't think I could spend $26 on one. Yikes. But I would like to try one, so.... Also the blueberry soda looked interesting, reminds me of a local beer in our area that has blueberries and honey.... its awesome, called Bumbleberry from Fat Heads. Next time you roll through Ohio you should try it! The drone shots of the coast and the lighthouse were awesome!
They are a pricey food item (that’s about the standard cost, which is higher lately due to demand), but it was super worth it! Kind of like splurging on a steak 😃 We aren’t drinkers, but that beer definitely sounds interesting!
The settlement was in 1622. But they called it Falmouth for decades until it was incorporated as Portland. Portland, OR was actually named after Portland, ME. The British burned Portland at least twice. The Fort Williams Battery was used in WW2 because of the German submarines sinking ships near Portland harbor.
Yay, I’m so glad you’re going to Virginia! I’ll be there in February for the first time, and I’ve been researching places to eat, etc. Was hoping to get some ideas from you two! ☺️
We unfortunately won’t have toooo many ideas to share, since we mostly just spent quality time with friends and worked, but we hope that what we did get to do will help a bit!
Krispy Kreme uses potato bread , that's their secret!! Wowzers 26 a piece for that roll. .... location location location!!! They are good tho!!! Great stuff guys hope your far enough south by now it's brrrrrrrr butt cold in central Ohio already! Stay safe!
We actually hear that price is pretty standard and even cheaper than some spots in town! Totally worth the cost though, it was insanely high quality! We are back in Texas, where winter doesn't exist lol! Hard to get in the holiday spirit in shorts and a tank top though, so we are hoping for a cold front!
@@AdventuresofAplusK it is pretty normal up on the east, north , central coast.... they're still under 20 down in Bonita Beach, Ft Myers area where my Dads at.... but oh so delicious!! Yes totally worth the cost to warm your heart and belly!! You just don't find that quality anywhere! Stay cool in Texas!!
We had some lobster rolls at Bite Into Maine while at Portland Head and they were delicious! Gilberts Chowder House, The Lobster Shack and Len and Libby's fudge were our favorite eats while in Portland. BTW, we did the the Million Dollar Highway this past April. Love following your travels, brings back memories.
So ready to return to Portland, Maine for a lobster roll. Ate one every day during a previous visit and now my mouth is watering ! Those Whoopee Pies looked amazing. Planning our trip for next fall for sure !
@@AdventuresofAplusK we drove from Boston to Acadia National Park to hike, and stopped at several places so not quite sure about the names 😊. I do remember the Portland Lobster Company however and the lobster roll was just as good as the rest of them. Must be all that butter they drizzle over it, along with the buttered, toasted bun ! We live in the Pacific Northwest and feast on fresh crab, oysters, clams, halibut, and salmon. I didn’t think a lobster roll would even come close to a fresh crab off the Oregon coast, but after that first bite, I was hooked !
We have yet to try crab in Oregon, but we did have some crab cakes in Maryland and loved them. I am warming up to seafood, so I will be trying a lot more in the future!
Thank you for a fantastic series on New England! You've given me plenty of ideas for the future. I love coastal batteries, and I've had a chance to see a number in the southeast. I recommend Fort Moultrie near Charleston, SC and especially Fort Morgan in Alabama. I had Fort Morgan to myself in December a few years ago and I loved the sunset over Mobile Bay. Fort Gaines is also good. That was part of a trip to Mobile, New Orleans, and Jackson/Vicksburg, all of which have great food: Lou's Full Serv and Mayflower Cafe in Jackson, Doe's Eat Place all around Mississippi, the Noble South in Mobile, and then, well, New Orleans is New Orleans. :)
We love visiting forts! And a trip to the Gulf Coast states is definitely something we hope to do in the future, especially not being that far from Texas. We have visited New Orleans and part of Mississippi before, but not super in depth, so we appreciate all of the tips for when we do make it there!
Same here on the forts! I think my favorite fort is still Fort Beausejour in New Brunswick (where the French lost New Brunswick in 1755) because it's so obscure, well-preserved, and has a nice view of the surroundings. Nobody was there, leaving me to explore the French casements in peace. I'm really looking forward to when you hit the Gulf Coast since there's a lot of great food there, and I've come to realize something very subtle after having watched about 200 of your videos: Adam really knows food! I finally watched your Hawaii and Italy videos and it shows up a lot there (e.g., poke). When I saw some of the food choices in this video (and Adam's food vlog preferences), it made it even more clear. Adam's not one to brag, but I would trust him to pick out food on any trip. If you find better food than my tips, I would graciously defer.
Ooo that one looks cool! And Adam does love him some food! I think both of our favorite things to do when planning trips is picking out the food we want to eat haha
I can definitely see that; I love how you knew it would be 2 gelatos/day at the beginning of the Italy vlogs! By the way, since you've had an amazing year, it would be cool if there was a 2021 recap video with some "A+K Awards": best park in 2021, best hike, best coffee, best taco, best treat, best historic place, best ice cream, best random moment, etc. That could be a lot of fun!
We actually have plans to make one! Our videos on the road got cut a bit short unexpectedly (more on that soon), so we were thinking that would be a fun way to redeem our final video from the road haha!
I was going to say that shell of a mansion looked like Ha Ha Tonka. Those lobster rolls are pricey! Glad you liked them. Guess if I ever get out that way, it'll be worth the "investment" to try, and easier to eat than a whole lobster...
They are definitely pricey (and I think that price is pretty standard from what we hear), but they are worth it to try! We are just glad we had to leave afterwards so we couldn't spend more money haha!
You likely went past I live as you crossed the Casco Bay Bridge. I absolutely LOVE Holy Donuts!!! Most of the time I get the maple bacon. So yummy. There's so much to do, see around here. You'd of loved going on the Duck Boat which tours a bit of Portland goes across the Casco Bay Bridge into South Portland down to Bug Light and right into the Casco Bay Harbor!!! Its a short ride and you're back in the Old Port. Of course if enjoy boats the Casco Bay Ferry has a sunset cruise (I recommend the summer for the best sunsets over the water) . I love our area. Born and raised here and am staying here. Normally the lobster rolls aren't as expensive. I'd much more ,,,ask us licals,,, we'll tell you,,,, on the way out to Portland Head Light in South Portland on the corner of Sawyer and 77,, Ocean House Market BY FAR has the BEST lobster rolls. Any place I travel I seek out the locals. We are friendly and we want you to enjoy your trip. Nicely done on the video of our beautiful area.
Great video as always! My wife and I have been following your New England adventure closely since we have an RV on order that we hope we get before next fall. New England may be one of our first excursions in it.If you need a place to stop near Baltimore on your way to VA, let us know! Free WiFi from our driveway!
New England in the fall is such an amazing trip! We hope y'all get to experience it! Our videos are a little over a month delayed right now and we are back in Texas, but we appreciate the offer very much!

Definitely a lot of work, but we are thankful we get to do this for a living!
Wow those lobster rolls looked absolutely delicious! I'm a huge seafood fan, especially black mussel. Thanks for all the epic uploads, I just adore your style of filming. Take care and drive safely.
We have yet to try mussels, we will have to give them a try sometime! Thanks for the kind words, we're so glad you enjoy the videos.
Lucky you! We'd go there often as well if we lived close! We loved visiting Maine and can't wait to go back
You guys were right when you said you thought I’d love Portland, Maine! It looked like such a cool town from the urban design to the fun restaurants and shops. Those lobster rolls looked luxurious down to the last bite! Thanks for showing us more great spots to visit in Maine.
We thought of y’all the whole time we were there because of the cool historic architecture!
Love the way you guys describe the food. You guys Crack me up. Beautiful views.
Hahaha describing food is hard, so we try to make it fun when we can! Whoopie boy!
Lobster rolls and blueberry soda! You're killing me. Must. go. back. to. Maine.
Such a good combo right there! 😍
Thank You for the great tour of Portland !! Beautiful City!! 🤗❤️🙏🏼
Thank you for watching Kim!
Thanks guys your videos make me smile. Love the food stuff.
We're glad you enjoy the food! Experiencing new places through food is one of our favorite things to do!
Great video and very informative!!!! Kudos to you for your efforts on your channel!!!! :)- I love the music that you chose!!!
Thank you so much, Loren!
It's fun seeing tourists visit Maine and what they do lol
Beautiful footage in this video!! Crystal clear 👌 This was a very interesting video. Looking forward to Virginia 😃😄
We're so glad you enjoyed the footage!
As a Mainer who lives in Portland, the Holy Doughnut is amazing!
It’s so hard to mention everything, but we wish we could! Thank you for watching!
Beautiful old buildings, wonderful foods and decent weather. You two film great travel videos! Visiting Maine is on my bucket list and we hop to visit next year. Thanks
Thanks a bunch Colleen! We hope you can visit too!
After your Maine videos my husband and I decided that we should add lobster roll sliders to our Christmas menu. Thor lobstah rolls looked soooo good. Glad you had a great time in Maine!
Oooo now that sounds like a delicious plan!!!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I totally agree!!!!🥰
Well done! I live about 15 minutes from Portland and you presented it in a way I have never seen.
Thank you so much, we really appreciate it!
In southern Arkansas, there is a donut shop that uses potatoes in the recipe. They call them Spudnuts.
I had heard of those! We will have to see how they compare!
Welcome to Maine! Glad you enjoyed your visit 😊
Thank you!!!
We are so glad to hear you’re headed to Maine! Highly recommend everything we did!
Ok now I'm hungry...should have ate something before watching this vid. Looks like a fun and relaxing time in Portland. I love those coastal cities so much like that. And thanks for those other TH-cam recommendations...I had not heard of those before so I'll have to give them a watch. Cheers!
You definitely need to eat before watching Mark Wiens or Somebody Feed Phil haha!
This video was perfection! I was deciding where I wanted to spend my birthday this October, bet Maine and Vermont. Y’all help me make my decision 😊.. Thank you for this video.
We hope you have a great trip! Thanks for watching!
I think my favorite part of your videos is just hearing you describe food. Haha. I’m always hungry afterwards. ❤️ I loved Portland although we just had breakfast there, then spent the day at the Portland Head Light. Stunning spot.
It's a gorgeous area! And we are glad you enjoy the food descriptions! It's hard to describe them sometimes haha
You'd love Portland and all of the cute Maine towns! Kona seemed okay in the tunnel, but she was likely confused why we went in there haha!
@@AdventuresofAplusK That's so cool! My father is from Maryland's eastern Shore and lots of relatives in the area too!
Cheers!
Hahah we have a sort of stressful hike in the next video!
My cousin and his family live nearby in Brunswick. Next time you’re in the area, check out their donut shop, Frosty’s!!!
Glad you guys liked it in Portland.
It was an amazing city!
Glad that you enjoyed New England. I've only done a couple of quickie trips, but you found so many neat places to visit.
There is so much more to see and we cannot wait to go back! Where all have you visited and what has been your favorite spot?
@@AdventuresofAplusK Drove from the Boston area up to Acadia, then through Augusta and got on to the Kancamaugus highway across NH, then into the Adirondack's in NY. Somewhere we went to Ben and Jerry's which was fun also.
@@AdventuresofAplusK We almost always travel to the western half of the US. The North East and the deep South are where we've traveled the least.
Potato donuts, I have never heard of those before. The next time I am in New England, Boston probably, will have to try a "lob-staw" role. Very nice videos and shots of New England.
Definitely try one! I shockingly LOVED it! Thanks for the kind words on the New England videos, we're glad you enjoyed them!
It was SO good! As someone who has always said they aren't a seafood person and has a bit of a mental struggle eating it, I LOVED it!
I love you guys how show everything in trip in the north east I loved
So glad you enjoyed the northeast videos!
Yes I did thanks very mucho God bless you guys
Nice area, and as you go south , Wells, Oguncquit , York Village, Harbor, Beach, Kittery, Kittery Point on rte 1A to 103.. Nice ride historic area. Shore ride.
It's really cool to see that someone is taking about maine,I live in Westbrook,ME
We loved Maine!
You guys are adorable! Love watching your channel!!
Thank you so much for watching!!
How I wished you tried the pastries at Standard Baking Company, the lobster roll at Eventide Oyster Co. and the milkshake at Duckfat. I love Portland, Maine! Can't wait to visit again from the west coast.
There is lots of good food in Portland, but we are super happy with the spots we picked 😊
If we lived by Tandem we would be there everyday haha!
@@AdventuresofAplusK the pastries are better than the coffee imo!
I giggled when you said, "The MAINE thing.. the MAINE difference..." 😆 So punny. Great video; not sure when I'll make it out there, but now I have reco's for places to visit!
LOL! Those were not intentional, but we LOVE puns so maybe we subconsciously just make them now!
Thank you for all of the tips!
Glad you enjoyed. This is one of my favorite places to visit. Next time try Eventide Oyster Co. I am convinced they have the best lobster rolls ever.
Yum!
When i first saw that cat standing on the red brick i thought: How is it standing on the wall like that?:) Dah! Glad ya did the east coast Portland. Food looked good. Funny i was eating a donut too. Be cool, stay safe and peace.
So glad you had a donut to eat while we ate donuts! What kind did you have?
@@AdventuresofAplusK Chocolate!! I live chocolate. It's far free:)
I love your content and thank you for the format of your videos. Also I do watch Mark Weins and Somebody’ Feed Phil. Can’t wait for the next adventure.
Thank you so much for watching and the kind words! So glad to hear you also watch the other two!
@@AdventuresofAplusK you’re most welcome. If you ever come back to the Plains of the Dakotas, travel to Western South Dakota. Hike Bear Butte and Black Elk Peak. Both have significant cultural value to the Oglala Lakota (Sioux) People.
We actually hiked Black Elk Peak last summer (2020)! We have 7 videos from our time in South Dakota and loved it there!
@@AdventuresofAplusK awesome. I’ll look out for those videos.
eeeeeeeee I don't know y'all but you walked past my house in the West End and I am so exited you visited
That is awesome! We loved Portland and will for sure be back!
The history of the area is fascinating! Thanks for sharing!
Ooo fun sounds good!! The Million Dollar Highway is awesome!
Visited the light house at low tide which was cool, but those waves you got to see are wild!
The waves were pretty awesome!
Oh my gosh lol this is pretty good. I live just outside portland, and these are not super touristy, good job!
Thank you! Always means a lot to get kind words from locals!
Loved this video!!
We are so glad!
I live in Portland and am so glad you both loved it! Next time you visit you HAVE to try out Gorgeous Gelato in Old Port it is to die for.
Ooo we love gelato!
So ready to return to Portland, Maine for a lobster roll. Ate one every day during a previous visit and now my mouth is watering ! Those Whoopee Pies looked amazing. Planning our trip for next fall for sure !
What was your favorite lobster roll spot when you went?
You went to a number of the places I live in Portland. Great town!!
❤️💙
I’ve always wanted to visit Portland, Maine.
We loved it there!
amazing video, i love portland
We loved it! Thanks so much for watching!
Our videos on the road got cut a bit short unexpectedly (more on that soon), so we were thinking that would be a fun way to redeem our final video from the road haha!
late October and very green, what happened to the fall colors?
🤷🏻♂️
Thank you so much for watching! We have done duck tours in other cities before and those are pretty fun 😃
Great video as always! My wife and I have been following your New England adventure closely since we have an RV on order that we hope we get before next fall.
