Thanks for checking out our little food tour of Portland! We know there are a ton of great places we didn't visit or feature due to the time of year and limited time in the area. If you have any places in mind that you think we should hit up next time, let us know in the comments section!
Just came across your channel while looking for travel videos about Salem Mass. You all are so awesome! I love the content, they way you all shoot and edit. My wife and I thank you for sharing your travels.
Really enjoying these videos! Love how you incorporate fun facts about where you stay and little parts of each state that makes New England so unique. Blueberries, Lobster and LL Bean! That’s Maine!!
I love Maine so romantic beautiful cozy mystique historical amazing nature such a calm way of life. . I was young when I lived there now my son is raising a family there! I hope to explore the state through the years! This is a wonderful video first time to visit your you tube you two are great ,thank you love the buildings the history the food and great music you use.
I just subscribed to you guys after seeing you on a FB post about Salem, I am just loving the heck out of you both. I'm here for your journeys...please keep sharing =) xoxo
Planning my road trip to Bar Harbor with your videos! Wanting to make lots of fun stops on the way and back through Portland and Boston. Wonderful content!
Omg Warren's! Such a great place. If you ever get back up that way, detour over the bridge to Portsmouth, NH. It's a charming little historic town with tons of great food.
I love the Blind Tiger. My niece had her wedding and reception there last year and rented the whole place out for a couple of days. So warm and cozy with all the fireplaces, brickwork, and original paintings! Great video!
Just discovered your channel. Your production values are HUGE!! A real visual treat served up with great narratives. And Portland is a must for foodies with fresh seafood being just one of many top notch dining experiences.
I am so happy I stumbled upon your Vlog! We visit our camp in NW Maine every September and always look for new places to adventure to, eat, and stay outside of the camp. In Portland our go tos are The Thirsty Pig and Gritty McDuff's (both are dog friendly but the food and staff and always awesome!) Unity, Maine( about 1.5 hr from Portland) is a great small town with an Amish charcuterie (The most amazing smoked sausage, meats, and cheeses) There is also an Amish market, they sell delicious homemade donuts on certain days, an alpaca farm you can visit, Unity Pond Pottery store, and The Unity cafe (amazing food and items you can also purchase). In September there is the Common Ground Fair, we love going every year. Can't wait to watch more videos!
This video was very interesting to watch. Portland really started catching on shortly after we moved there in 2003. We left the city to travel full-time in 2017; by then it was quite hip and it continues to be an incredibly popular spot for folk to move to - and visit. Blind Tiger is new (to us) and we're happy knowing the owners kept real fireplaces instead of the pushbutton gas ones - YAY!! It really looks like a beautiful spot - hats off to the owners for keeping as much of the original integrity of the place as they could! On your next stop in Portland: Bubba's Sulky Lounge for the oddest (but in a very good way) bar you'll ever visit in your life - we promise!. For the best view of the city, go to Fort Sumner Park, located on North Street. For some of the tastiest breakfasts in Portland head off the downtown peninsula and try Bayou Kitchen in the Woodfords Corner neighbourhood.
Thanks so much, Hiep! The songs I used in this vlog that I know of off hand are, 'High Road' - Upstate, 'Good Morning' - Laxcity, 'Dancing in the Street'- Stephen Day. I'm going to have to start listing the songs I use in the comments section in the future :) Hope you have an awesome trip!
Great video! I see it was posted last May. Just curious, is that when your trip was? We're headed there in May and we're trying to gauge how the weather (snow on flip flops, haha) the open availability of businesses, and crowds will track with your video. Thanks!
Hey! Thanks so much for your message and sorry for the delayed response. We just got back from a Europe trip so I am just seeing this now. We were in Portland last April (middle of the month)...and most places that were closed for the season were set to reopen by the end of April. You should have good luck with relatively low crowds (as most kids will still be in school), but better weather than we had and more businesses being open. Hope you have a blast!
Go to portland and boothbay where your going is very nice your driving far ? Portland is one hour away boothbay I'm going 3 weeks I live in cny central square
OK you guys are the best I love portland you guys showed me places to go too and a holy donut you got the sea salt one the best one OK if you go back go 2 hours north to boothbay it's so nice there
Going to Maine soon. Both of you are amazing - engaging - fun to watch and listen to. Humor and very informative. What fun we could all have traveling together! I was skeptical of going to Maine and it actually was the alternative to Hawaii - due to pandemic Hawaii is not a recommended place to travel for the next couple months. Both of you have changed my mind about Maine and the fun it can be. I’m John and my partner and I hope to meet you soon! Ha!
Hopefully you guys have good luck with the places you want to eat at. Theres tons of benefits in going on the off season though (way less crowds for one). Good luck and I hope you guys have a really great time!
Sorry for the delay! I ordered it online back in winter of 2019...it says it's sold out but maybe it's available in the winter months. www.llbean.com/llb/shop/123530?page=mens-backcountry-hybrid-fleece-full-zip-mens-regular

We are heading to Maine (from Pennsylvania) in September. We are stopping in Ogunquit, but anyplace you mention is a consideration.

Woow
L.L. Bean more like Le Dollar Bean
The stuff definitely doesn't cost a dollar!
Casco Bay is not an island you take a boat to….it is the bay in which the islands are located. Otherwise relaxing video.
Ah, thank you for the correction! Also, thanks for watching!
I'm going to guess that A is a Virgo and Laurel is a Gemini.
Haha! Actually you’re wrong for both of us! Curious why you think that? 🧐
