I had an Ultra Bee and a Talaria MX3. I originally wanted to keep my MX3, but after owning the Ultra the Talaria got no love. Easy solution, I let two friends go riding with me, and they both made offers during the ride. She got a new home now which makes me happy. Im on 21/18's, 50t sprocket, with all the basic cockpit mods. Love this bike so much!
Where are you riding looks sweet. By the way this is Matt that road the hill climbs with you at tahyua . The Video turned out awesome it was cool watching what a gas bike can do and a electric.
Actually just started an order today for Ultra Bee... off Alibaba. Here's hoping I don't end up like your buddy and get it with at least a few months to spare before winter hits. But it's hard to say no to saving over 2k.
Got the bike last week! I did in fact get it with only a few months to spare lol. Only taken it out a few times but I have to say, it might be the most fun bike I've ridden. Riding stock I will say that a 21 in the front at minimum is absolutely mandatory, the 19 stock wheel just goes wherever it damn pleases. Fast and twitchy but unless your on a nice road it's just way too squirrelly. I just threw a used CRF wheel on and chopped up some wheels spacers to fit and it completely change the ride in a good way. Needs a new tire and some new wheels bearings but that'll probably be a winter project. Probably going to stick with the 19 rear and just go for a bigger tire, I like the extra height it gives me. Gonna figure out bars as well, even with 30mm risers it's still a little low for me while standing.
It would be sweet to see how the modded bike does on the hillclimbs now hopefully we run back into you guys sometime this summer cause id love to see that bike!
Sweet video brother. Just for some comparison. What is mister Josh's weight and height as I am 6'5" and 225lbs and trying to decide on an Ultra Bee or an Artic Leopard. Thnx
Great informative video. My sequence of upgrades, 21/18 - Torp tc1000 (the range of adjustment is mint, and recent update is providing 18kw) 550 lb rear spring - Front Fork spacer - Next Steps; I'm waiting on Torp TM25 motor (I have been getting high temps on the stock motor in wide open, fast hilly terrain) In Aus there is limited battery options, EBMX mainly. Keep up the great vids✊️
@zekd I had my local suspension guy do it, and to be honest, I didn't ask the detail! The outcome is, it raised the fork in the stroke, meaning it uses more of the spring, I guess that means more preload, better action on smaller and sharp edge terrain.. I'll ask him more detail when I speak to him and come back to you👍
@zekd so, I still don't know exactly what method he used, other than spacer method. I intend to get a further update on them, once I get the battery upgrade (extra weight) I'll let you know how it goes (eta 6-8 weeks) ✊️
@gavindobson6077 hey man, where abouts in aus are you. I'm in south west Sydney looking to get one of these, tossing up between this and crf300l honda as don't know where to really ride near me, so concerned about range. Otherwise I would have to put in back of suv and drive somewhere with e bike
Around 40 miles, depending on your rider weight, we are above average weight for these bikes haha. We seen guys in the 150-180lb range get closers to 50-55mi. There's so many factors that go into range. Rider weight, bike set up, riding pace, riding style, terrain, ect.
I can’t find the comment but I saw you saying you just need an ORV tag to ride on orv trails. I’m in Washington too. Can you have an orv tag without the bike being registered?
You have to have an ORV tag to ride off road in WA state. and you cannot get an ORV tag without the bike being registered. Its not difficult to register however...
No engine upgrade? Just planning on burning out the stock motor before replacing eh? No hate, might as well, paid for the stock motor, send it til it dies right?
It seems the stock motor is actually better for slower trail type riding. From my initial research into motor upgrades, it seems like you lose a bit of torque down low but gain better top speed with an upgraded motor. I'm not sure tho, would need to do more research.
@@zekd It looks like he's running a triple clamp mount or something. I'm running some acerbis guards, but the inside mounts are terrible looking for a solution similar to his.
Changzhou Double Spring Machinery Co., Ltd. On Alibaba. But I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND them. It was hell getting it from that company. Took 7 months. In stock form from them it was about 5700
So much fun and yes I agree, it’s a very expensive toy. Luckily the bike prices have come down and you can get a new one for $5800. So with the mods you are closer to 12k - which is more expensive than a Stark’s Varg. But they are completely different bikes. Tbh the stock Ultra Bee is super capable. Just put some dirt wheels on it and enjoy.
@@zekd I'm in Ontario Canada and it's still 10k here, I was just in Yamaha looking at them was 8k after building cost and taxes pretty much 10k and the stark varg is 17k after everything pretty much 20k I would love to have both of them still tho lmao.

Your guys Surrons are sick you need to find some single track trails that's were it's at on a surron I heard there amazing on the single track .
Thanks man. We do plenty of single track riding. They are amazing on them. Check out my other videos 🤙
Nice!! What kind of range you think that modded Bee can get riding like you guys where riding. Great video!

Cutting edge! I grew up on two strokes and always wanted a hot four stroke. They turned out ok but electric is better.
There's something about the sound of the Ultra
Good or bad ?
Tasty.
Love your enthusiasm!
Man I am getting one I just decided - let’s goooooo!!!!
what sprocket are you running on the stock Ultra Bee? When you were wide open in sport mode, you were at 46mph.
I dunno if "fully upgraded" really exists with a stock motor. Its great no doubt, but my UB doesnt wake up on the stock motor...
What is the range with the upgrades?
GANG ⚡️🏔️
I'm curious, how tall/ heavy is your friend? I'm tall and wondering how the Ultra fits. Great video :))

What hand guards is he running?
Cycra Pro Bend (or pro bend ultra)
@@zekd It looks like he's running a triple clamp mount or something. I'm running some acerbis guards, but the inside mounts are terrible looking for a solution similar to his.
What bark busters are those and are they stock bars?
I think they are the Cycra Pro Bend (or pro bend ultras)
So is he at 15 kW with stock motor?
You ever get trouble for riding on logging roads?
Not in this riding area, its a OHV spot so as long as you have your OHV tag you'll be good.
I just got the talaria Sting. I'm looking for places to ride.I live in Snohomish county. Do you use on xoffroad?
@@PlatinumPlopper I use a combo of navigation apps but onX is my favorite. Really easy to map out routes and find riding areas.
How many kw was mode 3?
I'm not sure. It was not turned all the way up. If I had to guess, around 25kw.
Idk storm is the way to go how I feel how is suspension enough ? From Ulta ??
they are showa reps, very good.
@@KayvonGz ?? Okay 👍👌
is it really worth it getting a surron from allibaba?
What was the top speed in most powerful mode?
Around 60mph. But keep in mind he was running a 54T sprocket, if he was running the stock sprocket it would be over 70mph.
