Love seeing Jeremy do exactly what he preaches in his podcast. He got into his head about the risk of thrydan, played the reactive then even after the kill further psyched him out over the assassination points instead of leaving it until the end, encouraging a more reckless play
I was rooting for the Easterlings because they are my main Evil army. So disappointing that things just didn't go their way when it mattered. Ah well, it was still a fun game to watch and I eagerly await the final match!
good game. It wasn't relevant in the end since you rolled another 2 but the "No Quarter was asked" Easterling rule requires an Easterling hero to be alive and on the battlefield to work. Well played both.
You are totally correct! It's funny that one of the weakest army bonuses got a nerf
oh darn that was a great game to watch! Two lovely looking armies, a really nice board with some scenery and opponents that looked like they thoroughly enjoyed themselves - this was a good watch! :):)
What a game. I was cheering for the easterlings till the end. Nice bases for them, look like ship deck.
I thought the game was decided on that heroic roll-off, but it ended up being much closer that imagined.
Also, Jeremy pulled a masterclass on how to deal with chariots

Yikes! potentially a misplay picking (REDACTED) as the Dunland target, I know it's the less predictable thing to do but sometimes the predictable option is also the best one! However, the massive bad luck spike of the heroic move and heroic combat both going to (REDACTED) in the same turn, I don't think it would have mattered either way. Great report!

Hi im a big fan of the channel. I'm looking for a 500 point army (but can play other points leaves) thats hard to play but powerful and does not break the bank any ideas?
If you dont 3d print try either the fellowship, mordor or rohan, as they come in the starter kits that are super cheap per model, and you can resell the extras, if you 3d print then any army could be worth it, I know Medbury minatures does some great print files especially for LOTR proxy armies

Do you not re-roll a dice that gets stuck? Is that a rule?
We played that if the dice is very clearly a number then that's what it is. If it is very cocked then we reroll it

Can i ask what size boards you're playing on. I'm looking to build my own and I like your tile approach. It looks 4 by 4 but not sure.
It is a 4’ x 4’ (120 x 120cm) board.

Can i change the miniatures in war of the ring with MESBG?
The most important thing would be to use 25mm bases for infantry and 40mm for cavalry. Then, talk to the person you want to play against to see if they are okay with. Then, you should be good to go.

They are a strip of balsa wood with a bunch of woodland scenics clump foliage glued on.
The end-game re-roll from easterlings was illegal, you need to have a hero alive! Not that it mattered...

I usually play with isengard, but idk if i can mix dunland with some uruks, and keep the army bonus
Isengard is a great faction I have played them heaps!
If you bring Dunland in you keep the Isengard Army bonus because Dunland is a part of Isengard. The Dunland specific rules are for he legendary legion.

Love the battle reports. Not sure if it's been brought up before, but the audio mixing could use some attention. Live audio seems to be a lot louder than the ADR

all easterlings have courage four to correct y'all
Regular Easterlings have courage 3 but Black Dragons have +1 courage. You also get an extra +1 courage when you break

Close game, if those two or three chariots got in on the charge it could have been all different. Really impressed with Dunland after playing them for the first time recently.

Wow, what a game! It definitely feels like the Dunland LL spikes around 500 point list. I wonder if they would struggle at 750 to 800 with bigger hero and monster options?
I feel that they are just hitting their stride at 500. At 750, they get more bodies as well as Frida and Captains while still getting more Crebain and Cav. At really high levels, Taking Saruman and Grima instead of the legendary legion becomes an interesting choice.
Great game, but couldn't the easterlings manipulate the end of game roll?
He made Jeremy re-roll it, but it still ended with the re-roll. That said, I don't believe he had any heroes left on the table, so shouldn't have been able to do it anyway.
I am interested in playing Middle Earth SBG, what's the typical point amounts brackets (for example for 40k its 500 points, 1k, 1.5k, etc.) for beginners and such. I thought I saw somewhere 700 point games were huge but not sure. I am interested in easterlings because they look so badass, especially the forgeworld models.

The usual points are 300, 500, and 750. Very occasionally I'll play 1000 and 650 is also a common point to play at
