    The insight of focusing on the rear foot lifting was a new insight for me that I will work on at the range this morning!

    Yes! started focusing on getting the left knee to move forward and that helped, along with using the ground to keep the left knee from bending in to the right. Found this helped better (for me) than focusing on hip. Left knee forward seemed to start the hip turn better than trying to focus on the hip. Keep up the amazing videos and instruction - Thank You!

    So glad I found your video! I have been putting way too much pressure on my right foot & right hip which eventually caused 3 pinched nerves in my back. I see now what I should be doing , praying I can do it!

    Christina , do you find it amazing that so many of us don’t understand the downswing sequence? Did you ever suffer from early extension or were you taught when you first started so you wouldn’t have to go through this craziness? Usually when someone works/practices on something for a while something will just click and you think you’ve got it but once you film yourself you realize you’re still not there and it is frustrating beyond words. I can do the chair drill(right butt cheek/left butt cheek) til my back hurts from turning so much( I’m 60) but put a club in my hand then the anxiety to hit that damn ball kicks in and I still rush the swing and come out of it.
    I try to do drills everyday if my body will let me. How long does it take the average golfer to figure this out usually? Please give me some hope so I’m not wasting my time doing something I may never understand. I play on a 9 hole course. Right now I’m a 6-7 handicap but I’ve always muscled the golf swing. My shoulders and back are worn out. Thanks

      Great question and thanks for sharing. I am ALWAYS working on my swing. Know it is a never-ending process. It's important when you go to the range (so you can then transfer) to focus on ONE thing at a time. So the Butt Move is a good focus. Give yourself a MANTRA based on how it feels when you do it right (at the range). A two word "feel"move". Example: "Stay Low and Roll" It took me a good year to groove the Butt Move and some days better than others. That's golf. Enjoy the ride.

    Appreciate the tips! I have been trying to feel as though my pressure shifts towards the target as my hands reach the top of my backswing and my right knee beats my hands to the ball on the downswing. My contact has improved greatly, but I will still hit a slight-to moderate straight pull about half the time with my irons. Driver has been OK. Any thoughts as to what I am missing?

    • @MorePars
      @MorePars  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Without seeing your swing to accurately advise, it does sound like you are not engaging the core and lead lat which would cause pulls. I'll do a tip on this soon as many struggle with that bit or did not know it needed to be done. Watch this one: th-cam.com/video/NM5bbnj3CkA/w-d-xo.html

    After way too many years of using target side pull downswing triggers, I recently discovered the magic of using the inner thigh of my trail leg, as a downswing trigger. I've never had consistent results when thinking about the trail foot, knee or hip as downswing triggers. The inner trail thigh, in the area of my pants inseam, is a very sensitive area because it has lots of proprioceptors that help with the feel and timing of the forward shift and turn. This simple feel has helped an incredible amount with all of my full shots with every club.

    I noticed in your videos that your knees generally remain bent on both the backswing and downswing. Some instructors advocate straightening the trail leg on the backswing and the lead leg on the downswing in order to have a more centered rotation. What are your thoughts?

    • @MorePars
      @MorePars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am not a fan of a locked out leg on the backswing. However, I do like it "angled in" to keep players centered and in posture. Downswing my leg straighten, just not early. My preference - again all to keep pressure with the ground and stay in posture.

    Where lean in comes into play when u do this?

    • @MorePars
      @MorePars  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lean-in is another trigger! Lean-in is pressure move to front side which is what all these triggers are designed to acheive.

    What’s your suggestion for something I call white ball syndrome. Lots of us have it, it’s where you take this beautiful graceful practice swing, but when that little white ball is there your swing looks more like you’re breaking up a sidewalk than a golf swing?

    • @MorePars
      @MorePars  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      practice swings have no consequence so your face can be anywhere. With a real swing, it's all about the face. I highly recommend finding out what's going on with your real swing and then practice the heck out of the correct movement. Practice swings before a shot a good for settling the mind and focusing on target.

      @@MorePars Thank you for the reply, I struggle with tempo, it tends to come and go. I have really good stretches, then there’s times I’m swinging too hard and can’t seem to slow it down. I think I need a sports psychologist! I’m pretty much just down to watching only your videos though, you really help me.

    • @MorePars

      Everyone is different but in general your dominant arm is usually the stronger one. I like to feel my arms as ONE for a more in-sync golf swing

    Hi Christina. Great video! But as you have often said the trail ‘heel away’ must happen on its own
    The buttocks going forward as the club head goes back describes the perfect tug of war between us the golfer and the head of our club. Does it not?
    So my question. Why are golfers always trying to beat this war? The ironic point is in order to win the war the golfer must loose the battle by their weakest link: their little trail finger . What the...! 😮
    So exactly when at the time in the golfer’s swing does this happen?
    ***Know at the time of what is referred to as the vertical drop, shallowing the club, and or holding the lag of the club can only be be done when the golfer’s weakest link; their little trail finger has no other choice but to let the head of the club pulling against it go.***
    How can this work?
    Because it is the only appendage of the golfer’s body that communicates to their brain to actually feel the increasing weight of the diagonal traveling club head pulling against the golfers little trail finger that lines up the direction of the pull known as parametric acceleration speeding the club head going down directly through the golfers ball and then up to the finish of the golfers swing.
    When?
    When the little trail finger is at the point the golfer is shallowing their club and placing it at the plane of action to aggressively strikes though the golfer’s ball the little trail finger has no other choice but to let the traveling and increasingly weight against it go. And then post impact from the golfer’s ball the accelerated club head known as parametric acceleration force makes the golfer stand up in the classic heel away finish that you are prescribing in this fine video.
    Cheers😃⛳️👍🥂❤️. It’s soo easy to let it go!

    • @MorePars
      @MorePars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure, I am a big fan of that BUT, only If you can do this and clear the lead side. I find that many players do not move their lower body at all (no hip clearing) so keeping that back foot down that long is no good for them. I'll do a tip on this - great topic!
