My family comes from the deep hollers of West Virginia, I no longer live there. I have seen the dangers from back road and interstate driving in the mountains and it's never funny. Sometimes when those icons start getting age they need some perpetual TLC before you decide to take a ride. If I had that thing I would have done lost my license so I'm glad you have it so I can just look at it, so jealous. You can't plan for everything because you never know what might go wrong. It's an icon it speaks for itself! Glad you got the brakes worked out.
I remember Baer Been around way back in the 1960’s… My friend lost his 1981 Trans Am it burned down to the ground somewhere near Las Vegas luckily you didn’t lose your car
I'm glad that you are okay! That must've been really scary for sure. Your new brakes look like an awesome American made product. Stay safe and happy holidays 😊
Contact Cleetus McFarland about TBS brakes he owns the company and runs them on his own vehicles. It would lower your rotating mass weight and stop you on a dime giving you change. They are rated for 200 mph with out failure.
What is the Standard sized Rotor on your Trans Am and my Z-28 Camaro. Is that a manual master Cylinder? Power brakes have a big heavy vacuum booster on them. Neither my '68 Chevy C-10 Pickup my 1970 Chevy Impala nor my 1973 Chevelle had power brakes and they stopped just fine. Every other vehicle I have owned I think had power brakes. I like the idea of having a rotor on the rear axle small enough to clear 15" wheels as I do have some L-60 Sticky tires on 10" wide rimes that do really hook up well. Those tires reduced my standing start 1/4 Miles circle track time from 21 seconds to 19 seconds..

Smoking brakes? Did you have a stuck Caliper? My Camaro has a Doug Nash 5-speed. Trans AM WS-6 package had 4 wheel disc brakes and 8" rims instead of 7" rims bigger sway bars.

I second that!
Awesome information on a great product. Thanks once again Adam.
Glad you liked it!
Did you think to use the emergency brake? It would have helped you control the speed in the turns and going down hill.

Jay Leno uses Wilwood disc brakes for his after market brakes on old cars.

Brakes only slow you down. Stay safe compadre.
If you can do it yourself; do but keep asking questions and most people will be happy to answer.
Liken the behind the scenes video. Can ya do a how it's made on a muffler/exhaust? Tires?
Glad you enjoyed it!

Rusted out Brake Lines? My '79 Z-28 Camaro still has the original brake pads and seals
Might be 🤷🏼♂️
So a 45 year old Camaro has it’s original brake pads, I call fake.

Failing brakes is not fun at all
There is no warranty written on the box

Bad drivers don’t like sticks, they would have to think too much
I love stick (have 2 of them) but also prefer auto for heavy city driving.
What the heck is Pro Touring ? How is it different than touring ?
Pro touring is a cross between Pro street &touring. It’s basically building high performance cars that are suitable to long distance tour in.
Get a vet
Oh no. He has a TA!! Why would he downgrade?
If you would have wrecked . Convoy 3.0 would have been cancelled. Im glad your ok.
