My wife's pregnancy tests always came back negative then one day it turned out positive after something happened, who knows what? Those crazy pregnancy tests are so unreliable. If we hadn't tested, she wouldn't be pregnant. Does hydroxychloroquine prevent or interrupt pregnancy? Lots of people are saying it will.

I agree that he is still trying to downplay the risk and get people back to work, but he has already admitted to wearing one. Wearing a mask in a factory is extremely common and I have been asked to do it 100 times. What he hasn't done, is ever let it be captured on film.

Here in Australia we’ve had good leadership at federal and state level. I’m in the beautiful island state of Tasmania in Australia, and we started working from home in mid March. Australia has 99 deaths, most linked to one cruise liner, and that’s bad enough. Everyone is working together here. We have internet news about the virus every day - concise news, not two hour rallies. I’m grateful every day to have been born in Australia - I won the jackpot when I was born in Tasmania.

But when you look at Hitler's personal habits, it's hard to shake the feeling that it was just a natural result of putting a workshy narcissist in charge of a country.
Hitler was incredibly lazy. According to his aide Fritz Wiedemann, even when he was in Berlin he wouldn't get out of bed until after 11 a.m., and wouldn't do much before lunch other than read what the newspapers had to say about him, the press cuttings being dutifully delivered to him by Dietrich.
He was obsessed with the media and celebrity, and often seems to have viewed himself through that lens. But he also craved the approval of those he disdained, and his mood would quickly improve if a newspaper wrote something complimentary about him.
Little of this was especially secret or unknown at the time. It's why so many people failed to take Hitler seriously until it was too late, dismissing him as merely a "half-mad rascal" or a "man with a beery vocal organ." In a sense, they weren't wrong. In another, much more important sense, they were as wrong as it's possible to get.
Hitler's personal failings didn't stop him having an uncanny instinct for political rhetoric that would gain mass appeal, and it turns out you don't actually need to have a particularly competent or functional government to do terrible things.
We tend to assume that when something awful happens there must have been some great controlling intelligence behind it. It's understandable: how could things have gone so wrong, we think, if there wasn't an evil genius pulling the strings? The downside of this is that we tend to assume that if we can't immediately spot an evil genius, then we can all chill out a bit because everything will be fine.
But history suggests that's a mistake, and it's one that we make over and over again. Many of the worst man-made events that ever occurred were not the product of evil geniuses. Instead they were the product of a parade of idiots and lunatics, incoherently flailing their way through events, helped along the way by overconfident people who thought they could control them."

I`d say on the whole we`re doing good because National emergency was declared after 20 or so people got confirmed as having the virus in one day but the total number then was smth around 50. Schools closed down, kindergartens are open only for those that cannot work from home and all big events are cancelled. Now they will soften some restrictions however we never were on a complete lockdown or quarantine. Social distancing is still in place but for 2 months no visits to friends and family outside your household were allowed. Btw, everyone is talking how they will not travel to the US for a couple of years or until vaccine at least :D

They've just gone through all public transport vehicles & stuck stickers onto the seats people are allowed to sit on for social distancing & said that's the new capacity for each bus/train/tram, which they say is 1/3rd of original capacity, but looking at it today, it seems like way less than that! (people seemed to be traveling mostly in groups & ignoring the stickers though, not sure if those groups were actual household groups where it's allowed or not) They've added extra bike lanes & various other strategies to try to get 2/3rds of people off public transport too, as well as a big push for staggered start times to spread the commute.
Schools our federal government wanted to stay open, but most states did as yours did for at least a few weeks, essential workers & "at risk children" only for both schools & childcare centres. All are back to fulltime attendance now (we had an advantage over European countries in containing it, so we can get back to normal faster. Most of our states locked down their borders too, so that they could eradicate it more easily in their individual state, we only really have 2 states with ongoing cases now & a third with 1 case yesterday of unknown origin, which is worrying them, but they've had very few cases in recent weeks, even my state actually, which was the hardest hit, is down to only 1-2 new cases a day now)
We also had limits of visits to others, varied a little from state to state & tbh, we had plenty of options to do it if we needed to, we were permitted to for care or mental health reasons. People just being dicks & having house parties & stuff were fined, but everyone else was largely left to decide for themselves what was really needed & we were encouraged to do what we could to stay home so as to get it contained as fast as possible & the vast majority of people did :)
_"Btw, everyone is talking how they will not travel to the US for a couple of years or until vaccine at least :D"_ pretty sure your country's going to be invited into the "first movers group" in terms of travel once they figure that out :) & I think that travel system will dominate global travel until the vaccine, with certain countries in it from the beginning & allowed to travel to each other & then other countries trying to prove they have adequate testing & control, so as to get invited into the "covidsafe travel zone", rather than accepting their place outside it & traveling outside it. Countries like the US & Brazil will either invest in vaccination (and be required to have vaccination certificates to travel) or be excluded from the global travel network until they do. No-one in their right mind would travel to the US right now!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would be safer to travel to Syria, Iraq, Iran or North Korea than the US right now!
