You are right about Batswana women not being home makers. Very true. There are no stay at home mothers in Botswana. Batswana women are known to work harder than the men traditionally. A woman in the olden days was known to carry a bucket of water on her head, a baby on her back and bags in her hands while the man carried nothing.

@@helengeorgeslifestyle Batswana women are super family oriented, don't get me wrong. They do balance work/home. There is a strong family support in terms of older family members helping out while mummy is working. Having said that, am I grateful to be a Motswana woman? This whole idea of a woman staying at home makes my blood boil. Don't mean to offend you but it does. Just glad I am a Motswana, that is all.

They have a nice culture then, for women. Cuz the women have freedom and seems the men would help more at home, thereby reducing stress. Nigerians carry marriage for head...that is why when there are issues of domestic violence, a lot of our women die without leaving.
For the smell issue, i think because of our weather and open market situation, a lot of our women starts smelling funky when they are doing chores after work. Imagine closing from work and going to the market in the hot weather. Not an excuse though. I believe we can be more engaged in the self hygiene aspect because even when some women migrate out of Nigeria, thesame routine continues.
