Simpily amazing. i started a new job filming boats and i am a new flyer. Long story short, I was distracted by a dog and my drone hit my cabana and hit some rocks, and slid into salt water. Defintley going to need to get this alc and try this, especially with salt water involved. Thanks for the video man! These things are so resilient, praying mine makes it.

Let me know if it worked. Salt water is especially hard on electronics

Would this work similarly if using distilled water rather than alcohol?

Absolutely not. Do not use water to clean electronics

@@GearsAndTech I meant distilled water that doesn't have any ions in it unlike normal water

Hi, I submerged my drone in the river like a month ago and today, a fisherman found the drone in his net and contacted me. He's asking for like 50$ for it. But I'm not sure it’s fully dead because It's like a month submerged in water. Is there any possibility the drone might work????

Do not power it on and do what I do in Thsi video. It'll work again

you sure? So should I pay the fisherman and take the drone?

For $50. It's a small price to pay to find out.
      They seem pretty robust
      I think it'll work

Mine went into the lake and it took me two weeks to get it out. I soaked it in clear water let it dry, and it works fine. The batteries not working but I'm going to have to try to figure that out. Thankfully I have some spares.

Quick question mate. Did you still use the submerged battery for your flight?

Submerged battery worked fine as well. Yes. No issues with charging or flight time. I think they are sealed pretty tight

@@GearsAndTech thanks mate for the quick reply. I accidentally submerged my mini2 two days ago. Hoping my drone will work as fine as your drone did.

I think we all have been there at some point. The good news is by rinsing it like this it really seems to work 99% of the time
