Laura Dassow Walls, in her book "A Life," a biography of Henry David Thoreau, has some good explanations of walking. Friedrich Nietzsche more or less says that all great thoughts happen when we walk. I think that when in nature, our distractions end. Thank you,, Andy Lee Graham
