This is my favorite generation of the S-Class. I lost my license twice in my first year of arriving in Australia - it's taken me 21 years to go a whole year without a speeding ticket - so many hidden cameras here, nobody gets away with speeding. for a low level minor speeding fine (6kph over) in South Australia is $352 and three points on your license.
Had the same experience in Aus, ridiculous oppressive speed restrictions everywhere. Car culture gone, all driving white Honda civics. Aus men like to think there tough, the reality is there weak and rather pathetic for putting up with this crap. Aus is without any doubt the most boring place to drive a car I have ever encountered, rather like the people, stuck in a time warp.

@@christophermarshall5765 plenty of people prepare for passing trucks and misjudge the speed of the car coming from behind. However, these are not the idiots, the fast one is. Recommended speed is still 130 km/h. There are places and times where the autobahn is much more empty and suited for such experiments.
@@skyex5047 those preparing to pass the the trucks should wait until the car approaching from behind at speed has passed. Here in South Australia, our major highways are 110 in most areas, with others being 100. I have been a driver approaching traffic doing just under the speed limit, & change lanes to overtake slower vehicles, when another vehicle misjudged my speed, pulled out in front of me. I've then needed to step on the brakes, when I should not have needed to. Who is the "idiot" here? NOT ME, because I was NOT speeding at the time!! The stretch of autobahn where this took place has no speed limit, & this is CLEARLY indicated in the video. For this reason, the vehicles not moving out of his way are the idiots.
@@christophermarshall5765 Of course, I understand and agree that you can't change lanes when someone faster is approaching from behind. However, a speed difference of 10 km/h (110 vs 100) is not the same as 160 km/h (260 vs 100). If you're a really skilled driver in the slower car, you look properly and see that the car in the mirror is approaching really fast even though it appears that he's still far away. In an everyday situation with a less skilled driver this may not be the case. The car in the mirror seems to be sufficiently far away for you to change lanes and pass the truck, but it's not at that speed difference. In fact, two rules apply here: 1) You have to drive in a way that you are able to compensate for other's misjudgement as much as possible. (This is rule nr 1 in German traffic laws) 2) If you're going faster than 160 (I think) then you're partially guilty in any type of accident by default. (I think that's actually based on 1). P.s. "no speed limit" means "recommendation is 130" on German autobahn. Just saying, a situation like at 4:07 can be plain deadly. And if you do it for a TH-cam video, just go let's say at 5 am on a Sunday morning somewhere with less traffic, in the north east or whatever.
Lane discipline is strictly enforced on the autobahn. Staying in the left lane and blocking faster traffic will get you a large fine, as it is for passing only. That’s one of the reasons that the autobahn is safer than our interstates despite not having a speed limit in many areas.
they are not getting out of his way dude - it's the law in germany to use the left lane only for passing, and drivers adhere to that. You could be in a kia going faster than someone and that person would also move over. Wish the north american drivers were that disciplined
Passing on the right is not permitted in Germany and they do not do it. It is a far superior way of driving and MUCH safer. Rules for driving in Germany: If you see a Audi/BMW in your mirror, move to the right soon. If you see a Mercedes, move over NOW
Here in America, I got 2 speeding tickets in the past month, both given by female cops with chips on their shoulders. I wasn't even going that fast. This video is pure bliss.

This is my favorite generation of the S-Class. Just look at that timeless exterior design, and the interior is still from the era of Mercedes when elegance and massive build quality was the focus, not the insane tech features that later generations provide with the MBUX system - but in exchange, they lack the level of solid build quality and elegance that this era of Mercedes cars, and especially this generation of the S-Class offered. @@harishusic5372 this guy has had his share of idiots not moving over, & ones trying to show off, but failed.
196 km/h just chilling... 210 km/h time to get serious... So smooth

Truly .. woooow 🤩🤩
I love how other drivers gave a way for him
It really deserves of praise !
Only worry was the blue van . Crazy.
Passing on the right is not permitted in Germany and they do not do it. It is a far superior way of driving and MUCH safer.
Rules for driving in Germany:
If you see a Audi/BMW in your mirror, move to the right soon.
If you see a Mercedes, move over NOW

Limiter, not limit. You can drive at warp speed at those autobahns if you have the machinery.
@@teppo9585 Correct, meant the artificial limit put there by manufacturer, I'd assume this car aswell would rreach 300km/h+ without it.
