Only because of huge amounts of units produced some are still on the road. It wasn't really a good SUV of its time, I would take a Tahoe instead from the same era if I had to choose. Explorer didn't have the same toughness that F series had and compared to more recent small/medium SUV it's not as spacious.
I have a 92 explorer Eddie bauer edition and it has no rust and it also has 64,000 miles on it and it is a great cars its just sad to see that explorer get crushed 😔
Honestly you aren't wrong. I used to drive a Century wagon pretty much identical to the one in the video and one day some dude offered me 5K for it randomly.
Ford Explorer still had ancient leaf spring rear suspension in 1994? What were Ford thinking? Even modest cars from 20 years earlier were being fitted with proper coil spring suspension. That will be the same Ford who were slow moving to front wheel drive and then more recently didn't notice EVs until it was too late.
Explorer had a reputation for being an urban SUV but had old school suspension, it was notorious for unexpected rollovers. Ford spent a lot on advertising but research and development was lagging. No wonder many European and Asian manufacturers took their market share from Ford. I remember driving 98' Explorer, it felt cheap as 91 Taurus inside and despite being a facelift model didn't feel any better. Reliability was not good side either. Built Ford tough didn't apply to Explorer I guess. Too bad because F series and the passenger sedans like Fusion are quite decent.
Curious why on every one of these car crushing videos, the yards always have tons of trash and junk piled around the machine??? I would think you would want to keep the area cleaned up????
In Tennessee I still see people driving them old Explorers today. They were great suvs if you take care of them.
You still see them in California, albeit with Zero Rust!
Yeah I know A couple people,,, That's still drive exploders,,,

I drive a ford explorer that body style in Minnesota. We've got a few left in the Dakotas and Minnesota
That was some serious frame rot on that D50
Thats amazing how the back window of that explorer didn't break!
Yup, it said "F" it, I'm outta here!
I really love when cars or trucks have additional scrap metal. Love to see all that metal being crushed
Me too man. Its fun seeimg them all packed and getting crushed.
That exploder window said not today
I liked the station wagon😢
Those old Explorers were built solid; after all, they seem to be the most popular SUV in demolition derbies. And, they had to crush this one twice!
Yay love this stuff
YES! This is the best car killing channel.
jeah, he loves the bicycles
Cowboy Car Crushing is better, check him out on TH-cam
Check out G money car crushing. Great car crushing channel
Great videos man!! Ever consider placing your phone/camera on a tripod?
The wagon was so sad to see crushed.😢
I know ☹️
Glad to see I wasn't the only one.
@5:55 now that's how you bundle your Auto & motorcycle coverage 🤣
I was waiting for the window to fall on the ground from the explorer
Oh no not the Ford exploder 🤣🤣
You mean the Ford Rollover
i cant believe that window survived!!
And rear left taillights on the Ford Explorer and Buick Century Wagon
9:54 Ford Exploder taillight FTW
God the fake wood panels......oh the 80's styles man I miss them days
That explorer's back quarter window didn't want to die
Great video!!!
I owned two 1994 Explorers in years past, both were dependable, but now they both have met the crusher.
I have a 92 explorer Eddie bauer edition and it has no rust and it also has 64,000 miles on it and it is a great cars its just sad to see that explorer get crushed 😔
👏👍🙋♂️🇧🇷 sul do Brasil, um abraço amigo
Every explorer that goes into the crusher before killing its driver is a win to the world.
What kind of motorcycle was in the pickup, which would be the Dodge ram?
The description said 1975ish kawasaki (km100???)
Grate video awesome keep them coming.
Those are some old cars.
Where is this? Some of these cars look like they’ve been in a swamp with the amount of rust. 😲
Wisconsin i believe
Rust belt counties I guess. And probably some have been standing for at least 5 years
My aunt has a dodge ram 50 sitting in her barn since 2006
She just missed out on a parts truck
How's that supposed to be a parts truck, it's so beat
Good luck getting it back on the road-they weren't exactly known for their longevity, unlike the Toyota and Nissan...
AKA Mitsubishi Mighty Max
That crusty rusty Ford Explorer crush was real sloppy....& satisfying like a sloppy Joe
I wonder if this dude knows that he could've brought that Buick Century wagon to a Radwood festival and sold it to some hipster for like $5000 lmao.
Not with a car from Wisconsin, where they (over)salt the roads...
Honestly you aren't wrong. I used to drive a Century wagon pretty much identical to the one in the video and one day some dude offered me 5K for it randomly.
That Oldsmobile wagon was clean
Didn't see rust on it sad it was crushed I'll hate you crushed good.
Clean wagon I'll would buy it
Can't find them
That was a buick. Take another look at the rear suspension mount. You can see it's rusted clear off the frame just in front of the rear tire. 6:17
Why did they not take the hubcap from the Buick wagon? Those old metal hubcaps are worth money, and that one was in perfect condition
Don't understand why the chassis built out of suspension springs idea as seen on that truck never took off... FLEX!!! (Oh it's just rust... 😂)
👍👍😀🇨🇦
Did the Explorer do something to the loader operator? He kept attacking it after it got crushed.

Leaf springs were fine on a suv like that. Me mum used to have one. Thing was tough.
Exploders used rear leaf spring suspension into the early 2000s

That pickup truck is like a wet noodle
That explorer is done explorin'

dont do it stop the pain
Hi
Surprised they used the Lincoln for the topper. Usually in these videos the big car is the first thing. The Exploder was a big one, to be sure.
I've got a '95 explorer that runs great it just looks like crap
Ooh! Another S-10 project! NOT
Alright back quarter window. Survive can I'll buy it for the Ford explorer I'll can't find one how much.for it
Ok
Oh no, not Explorer, the crappiest SUV of the 90's. Oh what a shame, Africans could have driven it for another 30 years. Oh boohoo ..
