I can't get past the fact that Henry was 10 in reality when Catherine showed up in England. Yes, they did fall in love, but that was years later than what is shown in the movie. At least I hope Catherine wasn't turned on by a 10 y.o. boy. That wasn't normal even in the 1500s.
Henry's grandmother was married at 12, so child marriage wasn't unheard of. A lot of these royals, particularly the females, were married in their mid-teens. I believe Mary Stuart - not Queen of Scots, not the co-monarch of England with William III, but the daughter of Charles I and mother of William III - was married at 9 (albeit without consummation until some later time).

Not to mention in her 5 short years of reign, despite what the protestants nicknamed her as, she actually took less lives compared to her father and sister took during their reign with the same timespan. If Mary was raised to be a queen and Henry didn't go and be a dick, she would have reigned longer, more merciful, and be one of the greatest queens in history. Not to mention, without Mary fighting for the throne, Elizabeth wouldn't even be able to touch it. Edward wrote off his cousin, Lady Jane, to be the next monarch, completely tossing aside his elder sisters because he feared Catholicism to return, he didn't even trust Elizabeth who was the daughter of the mistress that is responsible for England breaking off of Catholicism. Tudor Dynasty would have ended there had it not for Mary rising up her own army and snatched back the throne, returning it back to the proper line of succession which enabled Elizabeth to take it after she passed.
