No... his halting is actually the most interesting information in the interview. How he stops and edits himself when he gets to talking about the difficult trips, or negative effects. DMT is wonderful but how extreme and terrifying it can become might be difficult for somebody bringing it to the mainstream, or studying people on it, to deal with. In a way they take on responsibility for those aspects. I think this interview shows Strassman dealing with that, and wouldn't if it was edited.
He has a stutter. He was about to have a bad speech block and stopped because of it. Perhaps the high emotional charge of what he was talking about was what caused the severity of the speech block. Through all of his talks and interviews it is noticeable that he has a mild stutter.
These aren't difficult pauses or looks of doubt, it is simply rephrasing things for pacing and emphasis. It is lazy editing, not a series of poignant pauses. If you disagree then fine, but I have watched this a few times and my opinion is unchanged.

You're just not reading him right. You might find reading the talk around why he stopped public research interesting, or want to look at his chapter about these kinds of experiences in his book. Also: difficult pauses or looks of doubt are absolutely treasured by good interviewers.

Something about the lucid dreams I've had, they were never nightmares, you go where the dreams take you, but I like to check out the dream world, kinda investigated it. Lucid dreaming is cool and there are videos on youtube on how to have a lucid dream. Unlike tripping on some substance if a dream gets scary you can wake up and it is over. You smoke that DMT you are going for the ride like it or not, and that scares me.

It certainly isn't professional.

he just means its not orally active, when you smoke it it goes into the blood stream through your lungs, when you inject it, it goes into the blood stream, pure DMT is destroyed by your stomach acid

How was it terrifying? I took huge dose and I was no longer a human and I think I could not feel fear anymore.

You can overdose on anything the human body can only take so much. It only takes 25-50mg to breakthrough.
