Here after the most popular version of this video was taken down. It included a black and white pic of Dana Scully as a background image, and its comment section was brimming with thoughtful, pregnant and oniric comments from all over the world. I managed to remember one, though, my favourite: "This song sounds like the soul of the woman I fell in love with."
I must have listened to every version of this song. Until now. Rhubarb has been my morning track since 20017. It helps me centre myself and relax before going into the day. Grateful to have a warm flat and running water 🙏🏽🕯️
this is quite simply the most staggeringly beautiful and meaningful piece of music iv'e ever heard. its amazing to think the same person wrote tracks such as 54 cwmru beats and performs such insane DJ sets. the man's a genius.
I cannot in words tell you how much this song has helped me through. I just dont have the vocabulary to describe it. From the first time I heard the original to listening to this version on a park bench in the middle of the night, every time has been an experience. It's almost as if this song can conjure up inner peace from nowhere. Thank you Richard, you saved a life with this one and you don't even know it.
touching and beautiful- the whole SAW 2 is rather melancholic in a sense, but it now ends with the original reversed version. Richard recounts in the notes about losing his mother so its a fitting addition to the album.
Whoah i had no idea he went through that around the time of this beautiful and melancholic and sometimes v ominous double album with no names, the label must of been like "wheres the names?"😂

“And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”
Richard D James, if a secondhand account is to be believed. Using something of a "remote orchestra" project in which he would send a tone to the headphones of each orchestra member, who would then be responsible for playing/singing the closest to that tone as possible. I haven't confirmed this yet, but if it is to be believed; it may explain why it sounds so otherworldly.
From the dreary depths of Hell to the soaring heights of heaven; such is the music of Aphex Twin.
spot on

No reason to :)
I was filled with anger before listening to it. I think it took every negative emotion out of me. It's like a hug from a person you love.
The song didn’t take it. You let that stuff go. Glad to hear it.

the bass on the stereo one is distorted beyond belief and ruins the track
