She made a compote (jam) out of it, by boiling it with loads of sugar, so delicious. Didn't know it was eaten raw with some salt, must try sometime! When i was a kid, i used to hang out with this Kurdish family alot, we always sneakily picked corn cobs from the field in our neighourhood, put it on forks and roast it over the stove with some salt.. great memories. I love that I can hear the OoT choir pad mixed deep in there, along with the more prominent mysterious woodwind sample from the Deku Tree. And the 'woo woo' synth from the Hazy Maze in Mario 64! There likely way more mixed in there too! Just awesome!
Listened to this song on repeat during a really difficult transition period in my life. Still puts me in that headspace of having to move on but not wanting to. I love this.
I had a similar situation where to cope with it I would do the same thing. I’d just lie I’d bed with the lights off and slip away into this song. It’s really amazing how powerful this song is. I regretted the things I hadn't taken the opportunity to do when I had the chance. In the end I channelled all that pain into art (writing). I grieved. Got a series of shitty jobs. Eventually found my footing on the world again. Made new friends, reconnected with old ones. I still regret what I never did when I had the time, but I'm trying to make time to do stuff with the time I have now. Isn't that the best any of us can do?

And this somehow manages to make me feel a different kind of feeling to the original... What that feeling is, I am unsure. You have managed to make a song that I love, and would concider a cornerstone of the genre and of music in general into something that has even more emotional weight to people of my age. At first I didn't like how the pitch in some of your covers weren't the same as the original songs, but after listening to them more, they grew on me. I especially like the pitch in this cover and in the Aisatsana cover, as I feel they make the songs sound more sad or bittersweet than the originals.

my uncle passed away a week ago, suddenly, without any warning. he was 56. there was still a lot left to say between us and I wrote him a letter to throw in his grave. it was really hard writing this letter and by chance I stumbled upon this song while doing it - it really helped channeling all I had to say and to get the emotions out I've been suppressing. I kept it on repeat for like 4 or 5 times and finished my letter. now this song will always remind me of him but although I'm still sad and start to cry every few hours I know it will be alright and one day I'll listen to this song, think of him and it will be okay.
