I ordered my Platinum with 22" Gloss Black rims, but they've been out of stock for some time. I spoke to the Ford Parts Department and they saw in their computer that it said out of stock due to high demand.
I like the new tailgate. I do wonder though, with that center piece that can open side to side, when that is closed and the tailgate is opened regularly, has the max weight baring capacity changed, and how much, do you know? Thanks. That and whether with two more vertical seems in the center of the tailgate, I wonder if it increases the chance of water leaks with a bed cover, any idea?
You do know it’s not a feature they just added during half the year, it’s been a feature since the 24 came out. You either just didn’t know or the people at the dealership lied. Because I seen a video back in February or march and it had it on a lariat.
lol... I'm 52 and want that "snot nosed kid blackout stuff". I had chrome in the past and Ford's chrome sucks! The running boards rusted, the bumpers rusted.... anything chrome and made of metal rusted.
I realize that you are an expert truck reviewer, but as an expert on Ford trucks, the front disc brake calipers are TWO piston floating calipers (NOT 4 piston fixed) and with the new barn door tailgate, you DO NOT get the tailgate step feature. Thank you for your "expert" review. Sad that the buyer must upgrade the license plate lights to LED...that you did get right. If you speak facts, please make your FACTS Factual.
The 2024 platinum was so much better! I’m so over the blacked out look. Most people buy the platinum for its luxury appearance, and this version has the appearance of a basic lariat.
You get the new tailgate but you lose the feature that weighs how much is in the bed or on the hitch on job 2. It was kind of gimmicky anyways. The hybrid cost nothing to upgrade to and comes with the 7.2 kw gen. And just to rant, ccd comes standard but you have to pay for fx4 which should be a no cost option. Also rear wheel liners are an option on platinum models.
I ordered a new Platinum, I wasn’t sure about the power boost, I asked the salesman and he said it’s just more to go wrong and would take 7 years of gas savings to pay for it. Decided to go with the standard 3:5
The difference is that the one you are calling 2024.5 is the Job 2 run. Everything before that was the Job 1 run. The pro access tailgate only became available for Job 2.
@@mcmuskie2563 I actually just got a 2024 Raptor. It is marginally worse (around 5-10%) than my 2016 F150 Platinum with the 3.5 Ecoboost on the highway. In the city, it's like 15%-20% worse.
@@raytaylor9831 Yeah...or that. But if you don't really need the Super, you're losing out on the better ride quality. Either way they're cashing in on the popularity of the 1/2 ton.
That truck has been sold and they still letting you take it out for a drive? I could be mad if I were that customer 😂
Left my truck at ford dilership for oil change ,somebody drove truck 40 miles
@@zornkrstic6086 I will be yelling at the service desk if they did that
For that price I want a digital rear view mirror like GM does
I agree! My ram had the digital review camera and I miss that on my Superduty.
I wish the V8 was an option on the Platinum's. That would have been this fellas first choice.
These are nice I’ve yet to see a recent one with the black 22 inch rims

I just got one Saturday that has it. Looks great.

And I can tell you as being a professional on the Internet, that you sir are a homosexual
By the looks of that stain on the front seat, it seems someone has already used that seat in the full reclining mode.
What new with the 2024.5?
For that price I need the 5.0L V8!

Wonder why they aren't offering V8 in King Ranch and Platinum in 2025, only Lariat and down get it.
April 17 is when the tail gate came online
My question is where did the Carmelo interior go??
That's on the 703A package. 701 and 702A are black interior with blue accent.
@@suipsysof that’s smoked truffle on the plus. Before 24 you should get Carmelo with black accents in any platinum
@lucaslehman5379 oh my bad, you're right. I thought they meant truffle. Carmelo is no more.
@@suipsysof I’m getting ready to order a new f350 and I’ve heard if I order now I’ll get a 25. Do you think they’ll remove it for the next year too?
@lucaslehman5379 sorry, no idea on the super duty stuff. I'd say it's anybody's guess.

Seems to me for that much money you might as well get a Raptor, unless you need higher towing.
That’s true but I was afraid of the gas miles cause I drive 3 1/2hrs to the cottage quite often..

Overpriced Lariat - interiors are all the same on these f150s - waiting for a recession and price drops before I buy one…
The 2024.5 is nice..... Of course it's no ram, but what is......
Blue leather so ugly. lol
