Bought these in April 2022. They started failing to power on after charging it overnight. If I let it sit for a few hours it would finally turn on. A few months later of this happening now it does not power on at all. Created a support ticket with EPOS and their "lab team" as they called it was able to reproduce this issue. They are honoring the warranty and allowing a replacement and they are sending me the packaging and return label for free so that's awesome.
I have been looking into this headset for too long and this is the nudge I needed! Great video = informative on all angles, professional quality, straightforward yet meticulous... you nailed all of this! Ya earned a sub and hopefully more interaction and exposure so that you can get the thousands of views you deserve.
Maybe a stupid question ? But how does Wireless headphones run with no Sound card or in conjunction with a Pricey sound card vs onboard Realtek sound ? Does the Headphones do all the Driving work on their own without the need for a Pricey Sound card ?
They have problems with battery charging and failed firmware update, out of the box. Battery not recharging. Intermittent disconnection from windows 10.
Next up I'm reviewing the EPOS H6PRO. If you don't care about bells and whistles and just want an excellent-sounding headset, you'll wanna tune in! Here's the playlist th-cam.com/play/PLtRmk1XMlZPpotekgEJltCXn9vwySDc2E.html
I don't think there is much of a comparison really. The Arctis 7P+ is an excellent headset for the money but these are a step above both from a features point of view and from an audio quality perspective
No, I believe the headset has its own volume settings. I haven't personally tried the H9s but I haven't heard good things about how they sound. From a features perspective they look really good though.
4:06 Can you, though? Some people say you can only use wired + wireless or bluetooth, not wireless AND bluetooth. Others say you can. Not one review actually tests this, just states it's the case.
Can 100% confirm this works. I tested it before making the review and I just doubled checked it to make sure I wasn't remembering things incorrectly. You can use them wirelessly with the dongle with one device and have them paired to a separate device and listen to two different audio source at the same time.
@@goukigod Just to clarify, since the price is quite beefy; you're saying you can definitely hook it up to your PC *wirelessly* and your Android phone via bluetooth, and then have your PC game audio, and eg. music on your phone play in the headset at the same time, with the two audio streams mixed together?
Yes. The only thing you can’t do is use it with 2 different Bluetooth devices simultaneously. So long as one device is connected via the dongle and the other via Bluetooth, you can listen to audio from both at the same time.
@@goukigod Yeah, I didn't expect you could; fortunately I don't need that; as long as the dongle and bluetooth can connect and play simultaneously, I'm good. Thanks. Any chance you could provide accurate measurements of the ear cups in various places? They seem rather small, and I've heard other people complain about them. That's the last thing I need to figure out before pulling the trigger on these.
Good video, but im even more off now, on what headset to get. Im looking for a good gaming headset that has ANC. But there aint many that have that and also good for gaming like shooters etc. and also can be used wired and on the phone. So are there any other alternatives to this?
@@goukigod Hi there and thx for the answer. I don't think the Steel series Arctis pro has ANC from what i can see. And the JBL 810 can't use ANC if you use it wired. Have been looking at them :D
Would you say that these would be an upgrade coming from a pair of SteelSeries Arctis 9? Are the earcups bigger, smaller or comparable? Great video btw
This headset isn’t worth the price of $300 US and $400 Australian. Maybe it’s worth $220 US and $320 Australian at the most. I paid $112.99 on sale at Best Buy and they have all the different color ways on sale for the same price. I am sure they punch above a $200 headset but nowhere near a $300 headset. The wired HyperX cloud Alpha’s are a $100 headset that punches above a $200 headset and they sounded like I had a orchestra in my ears. I will be happy if I get comparable sound or a little better than the hyperX cloud Alpha’s in wireless form but I doubt it because the wired hyperX cloud Alphas sounds better than the $200 HyperX cloud Alpha wireless. Wired versions of headsets always sound a little better than their wireless counterparts. The wired version of the Epos H3 was a $120 headset only $20 more than wired version of HyperX cloud Alphas so I am not expecting the H3 pro to sound that much better and if they do sound better it won’t be by much and mostly because the Epos has software and the HyperX doesn’t have software. If the wired hyperX cloud Alpha sounds a lot better than the Epos H3 pro I will be very disappointed because I only paid $85 for the wired HyperX cloud Alphas on sale and I paid $30 more for the H3 pro hybrid on sale. I hope I am paying for better sound quality and not just the wireless connection because I heard the Epos H3 pros have connectivity issues when using it wirelessly but that’s probably because people have them connected to the wireless dongle and the onboard Bluetooth at the same time and you should only use 1 wireless connection but people want to listen to music while gaming so they use Bluetooth for music and phone calls and the wireless dongle to connect it to PC. I bet if people just chose one or the other there wouldn’t be any connectivity issues

Glad I could help! And thanks for your kind words!
Man this is a fantastic video. Why so little views?!
Thanks! Give it time. These sort of videos are always a slow burn for my channel
Does the software let you control the eq via Bluetooth when connected to a PC?
No. It needs to be connected via USB to change the settings
Perfect review. Love it mate 👌
No worries, glad you enjoyed it!
I'm going to buy this one because your recommendation!! Thanks for high quality video.

The processing is done on the headset so no fancy sound card is necessary.

Excellent review! Easy subscription from me. How would you compare this with the Steelseries Arctis 7P+?

Epos app on my pc doesn't work I can't open it I try installing multiple times but still not working any tips?
Try running it an administrator mode. I have the same issue with an older PC were it refuses to run at all.
@@goukigod I tried I pressed run as administrator but still no response I Will uninstall and install again and then try running as administrator
Is the sound wheel linked to system volume on windows? Also, how would this compare to the sony inzone H9? Thanks!
No, I believe the headset has its own volume settings. I haven't personally tried the H9s but I haven't heard good things about how they sound. From a features perspective they look really good though.
No its connected to windows volume. Unless using a jack into PC.

Similar in terms of sound quality although the H3PRO is more neutral. Earcup size on the H3PRO is a fraction smaller.
Is’s it for fps games ?
Of course
@@goukigod can use with ps5 3d audio ?
Yes of course. You don’t need a special headset to use 3D audio.
