Dedicating this song from way back when in our teens to my dear twin sister Bobbi who passed away last week. I love and miss you and look forward to seeing you again some day. Little Twin Stars we are and music will soothe us. I love you, Bobbi. xoxoxox
The Greatest Story Ever Told is definitely one of my "desert Island discs". I found an unopened, unplayed copy on vinyl about two years ago and almost crapped my pants!
There was a re release a few years ago on CD with 2 old new songs added. Worth a look out for. I watched them live at Manchester students Union bar in the early 90's and what a great night.👍
Fantastic song. I first saw this video on the short lived, through the night TV show called 'Music Box', back in 1986 They played this and Really Stupid by The Primitives to death. Great songs, from a great era.
wwwooowwww man., as we get older we sometimes forget. . . . . how beautiful is this song, the pure sound of Jims guitar, Thumping drums from Mr. Desmond Morris and Marks voice at its best, really heartwarmingly beautiful. XX
I won a copy of this record when it was released while in college. I never figured out why this song and band wasnt more known. I would have never known them had I didnt win the album in a music video call in out of Lakeland Florida. It was either late 1986 or early 87
A great band, always. With the right plugging, this could have been a huge hit! When you've got a song as good as this, all you've gotta do is rock out!
I realise your question is 10 years old, but for anyone else viewing this all their tracks are excellent. The first album Greatest Story Ever Told is awesome. Every track is as good as this one in the video. Strong melodies. Great guitars. You get the idea.
I never really got into this band back in the day..but I first seen this on headbangers ball back in 1988..this is not bad..arent they all brothers..if I remember right?
you know the guitaris jim morris he is my music teacher at school bow school in london if anyone wants a pic of him now message me with ur email and il send you one

I just ran into this atmospherically gothic gem with its touch of positivity and light at the end of the tunnel kind of feeling. Thanks guys!
These dudes absolutely rocked.
Absolutely brilliant. A hair band that that thought about the lyrics.
wow ! Flashback 1986 - saw these guys @ the old 9:30 Club in DC with Mission UK - and hung out the lead singer after the show. Cool Scottish guys!
Fantastic song.

I like the tone of this guitar, I had already noticed at the time.
Mi piace il timbro di questa chitarra, già lo avevo notato all'epoca
did not realise this was online roadied this band around england in my teens
I did a lot of local roadie work, for 10 years. Wish I could have worked these guys.

awesome band awsome song
I've ordered the reissue on CD. This song proves Balaam should have been bigger, that melody is brilliant!! What are the other tracks like?

Such strong lyrics ,this song wS majorly overlooked but not NY me.
Here in 2021 just like I remember it....

When you are writing the first "more cowbell" comment you know you've found something really obscure..

You can buy it from Cherry Red records for about £8, along with Sun Family and Live Free or Die. I ordered it from there and got it within 5 days.

these guys r not bad and omg the lead singer is cute lol
jajajjajj...es verdaadd!
SOUND AS A POUND!.
The drum sound here is completely unbearable. The music is nice but the production on most of Balaam & The Angel albums are terrible.
Kinda sound like the cult
