First band I ever saw live, fourth on the bill behind The Chills, All About Eve and the Mighty Lemon Drops, Town & Country Club, Kentish Town, 1987. Extraordinarily good. See you next month in Berlin!
Another tiny rural village near the Scottish border empties out. All that's left is the shale and the collapsing abandoned houses and shops. One day we'll understand what's happened. Well done, AATT. Thanks for posting this.
Pardon, Raffyka84, I'm extrapolating from the 'miasma' that this track leaves behind when it's over. Funny how the flamenco flourishes don't exactly cheer things up. But that's this band's genius.
Raffyka84, thank you for letting me recall one of the masterpieces of the early And Also The Trees stuff! I saw them in London the first time in 1987 at the famous Hammersmith Odeon (today Hammersmith Apollo). They were overwhelming! Back in Germany I bought and listened their records night and day, untill they unfortunatelly lost their unique style. I allways wondered, if Simon Huw Jones was acting on the stage or if he was a really badass lunatic or freak. If you ever have the opportunity, then try to get their album (record) The Evening Of The 24th - Live in Lausanne A must have! 4.bp.blogspot.com/-tsuO4NakNqU/Tq65OxNA5YI/AAAAAAAAD9A/WGmQu7Ft7G4/s1600/And-Also-The-Trees-The-Evening-Of-Th-432875.jpg ^One of the best records ever!² ;-)
Well I love all their albums and even think their first album is their weakest (but still very good). I really like The Klaxon, Angelfish and Silver Soul, they did have their own style too, even if completely different from their first era. Every album of them has a different atmosphere on its own and they're not my all time favourite band for no reason. And the albums from 2003 on are very strong too.
Such an underrated post punk band... Definitely one of my top favourites of this genre.
Maybe my all time favorite band. Saw them about 5 times in the Eighties. Memories forever ❤
...truly one best songs ever written...long live aatt!
Such great song, unique music!
yet another great classic by the trees

My alltime favorite band...the oxman soul forever turns around....
Such a gorgeous song!! 💜

Oh, don't worry :) The athmosphere this song creates makes Shaletown alive
You can feel the souls around you
This song it’s perfect!!!
Love this, there are lots of "Shaletowns". in the UK.
Love this band and this is one of my favorites. Thanks for posting.
30 ans plus tard toujours aussi bon
Amazing Song

Charlie Ranger Yes sad to say that they lost their style. In those days there were very few that were in a place of their own
Ernesto Moran True words! ;)
