    Hi Conley, sometimes you just have those days, 2 steps backwards for 1 step forward. Hope that you and your family and all here had a great Thanksgiving !

    I have had bad sensor beep syndrome with our Claas combines. A pair of ear defenders works wonders while the sensor is on it's way. In your situation, you could roll up a piece of cotton for each ear and fill the void in the ear defenders with more cotton so you can keep going and not go insane! Anyway, its nice to finish that last field of cotton.

      Haha all great ideas but I’m just glad it wasn’t me lol. Even the noise canceling ear buds work great

    I loved the tour of beautiful downtown Dell City! That "river" flows all the way across the Van Horn highway. Your dusk view of the mountains is beautiful. Have you ever seen a Blue Origin launch while you were working? Is Jeff Bezos a good neighbor?

    Being a cattle farmer in Va I know nothing about cotton. What does a bale of cotton bring?

    • @conleybanman
      @conleybanman  17 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      One round bale can weigh up to 5,000 pounds and contains about 3-4 ginned bales depending on if it was made by a picker or stripper. A ginned bale weighs 500 pounds and can make about 215 pairs of jeans

    Seems we have more problems with sensors than anything else on our combine.

    What's the difference in a picker and a stripper?

    • @Farmkid2009
      @Farmkid2009 23 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      The main difference is that a picker just picks the bowls off of the cotton where a stripper takes in more of the plant and seperates the straw from the cotton in the stripper.

    Hey Conley, Love all of your videos. Just wondering. I see a lot of land next to your cotton field and on your way to it. I see it;s not farmed. Any reason for this? Thanks

    • @conleybanman
      @conleybanman  17 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Everything in our area is irrigated we only get about 4-8 inches of rain per year so we can only farm what’s getting irrigated
