Thanks for the video it's your buddy from Marion sc good to see you and dad and crew still going strong keep the video coming and tell pops I like how he takes time to fix things and keep going Thanks for good knowledge of farming
I want to express my gratitude for the almost up to date videos, it's really nice to know you care enough to get the videos online asap! Most other farming "shows" are up to a month out of season. Thank you! Hi Granny .
Thanks for the video Daniel and family keep up the great work. Take care of yourself and family and friends and be Blessed. Hi Granny have a blessed day ❤️.
You should try Wearparts LLC openers for the planters. The disc's last longer than Deere and the bearings are far better and usually have steel dust covers.
Your Athens disk sure moves the soil. Looks like the perfect unit for the job. Little story about welding in the shop. My uncle was welding all day, and I was working in the shop close to where he was welding. About 2:00 AM I woke to screaming eye pain. Flash burn. The hospital emergency room worked on my eyes with creams and drops for 2 hours before I could open my eyes on my own. Affected me for a couple of days. Doctor told me I got flash burn from the reflection off the shop walls and the stuff in the shop. I knew enough not to look at the arc. Tough stuff. It can happen to anyone.
Hey Granny, Daniel, Dan, PA and the whole Triple R Farms crew! Daniel when Welding galvanized steel grind off the coating and the mig gun want spit and sputter. Always wear your mask. During and after grinding and welding Galvanized drink milk . Duke Power had a milk wagon come around every hour when my uncle was welding galvanize. You do not want galvanize poison . Take care, Take it easy and TRUST JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Merry CHRISTMAS to everyone!
Good morning Ms Granny Hope you enjoy the holidays and may God bless you and your family. Daniel welding tip for the day. Grind the weld area before welding, it will help alot . Drink a glass of butter milk when you're done!
Granny Good Morning and Merry Christmas! Great Video. ❤ Y'all sure have pretty dirt. In middle TN where I was a boy on the farm was more rocky. Didn't realize God made dirt without rocks.
Daniel you poor guys with temps in the 30s here in Ohio we have the teens and have been getting a lot of moisture that's okay really enjoy your video's my son works in chemicals business and has been down south a few times during cotton harvest and he wants me to go along the next time to see harvesting thinks I will enjoy watching it in Ohio we are only corn and beans you guys have a great and wonderful holiday season
Just trying to keep up with the new methods. Your videos are great. Retired after farming for over 70 yrs.. Why don't you run choppers on corn heads rather than using the J&M?
Good morning Granny . Sounds like the cold has made it to you . Sounds like its time for insulated undies 😅 Hope you are done with Christmas shopping Take care and stay warm !!!!
You can install grease Zerk fittings onto sealed bearings (drill and install self tapping zerks) but you have to be careful not to over grease as you can blow out the seal and that will allow dirt into the bearing. Only about one or two shots of grease is all sealed bearings need and stop if you feel any back pressure.
How you stop that Galvanize from burning when you weld is to use your grinder to grind it off down to the metal in the area to be welded .If not you will get the popping and the fumes from the galvanize burning.
I used to farm in 1995 and do not remember blowing so many bearings/bushings as you do. I think JD recognizes that systems must be precise during planting and deliberately does not engineer bearings to last more than a season. We can engineer parts to last, but they do something called planned obsolescence to force rebuying after service life. We had stones in our fields, and I would have noticed a gang of packers letting go. America needs to bring manufacturing back to America and stop offshoring key parts that compromise its people.
Hi am Thomas young and I watch all your videos and enjoy them all just wondering why why when you are picking cotton it looks like you are leaving some in the fields thanks Thomas young
Just the way it is, pickers don’t take everything off the plant like a cotton stripper does. Strippers take everything but is also lower quality cotton. Sometimes bolls don’t open all the way etc and that’s why they are missed. Sometimes it may warrant us going through a 2nd time if too much is missed

🛠 Great job on maintaining the planter! Those new disc openers and gauge wheels look ready to hit the field. Preparation is everything in farming! 👍
I have always loved the off set disc's. They do a great job. Love your videos. Cheers, Steve, New Zealand Wheat farmer.

A place for everything and everything in it's place means you spend less time scrounging around to find your tools. Thanks for sharing.

Great video Merry Christmas to you and your family
Merry Christmas from central Indiana !!
Try Pittsburgh Power they have Fuel Catalysts additive that is incredible, it will eliminate most def issues.
Your Athens offset disk has connections to my hometown, Athens, TN.
Good morning Daniel and Granny.
Good afternoon did you try looking on shoup to see if they may carry a bearing that you can grease?
How old is your Dad Daniel? He sure gets around good. God has surely blessed him.
Why dont you take the trees out so you have one big field??? Awesome video.
Just trying to keep up with the new methods. Your videos are great. Retired after farming for over 70 yrs.. Why don't you run choppers on corn heads rather than using the J&M?
I live in upstate NY....It was 9 degrees two days ago....no field work here till May
Good morning Granny . Sounds like the cold has made it to you .
Sounds like its time for insulated undies 😅 Hope you are done with Christmas shopping
Take care and stay warm !!!!
Will that ground require less fertilizer on the first year you farm it?

Looks like the tractor on the disc needs some fluid in the tires or wheel weights on the rear.
Use aftermarket disc blades for Wear Parts much heavier bearing and last much longer than OEM blades from John Deere
You all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
I’ve got a good idea, as I know you do, how the deer pressure will be on that new ground! 😂
GOD BLES. YOU DANIEL😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Milo may be another consideration for the New ground also with it being dry land farmed

Merry Christmas Triple R Farms..
God blesyoù😮😮😮😮😮😮😮

Tote Table: You definitely need angle bracing on your Tote Table legs.
I have had galvanized poisoning twice while welding
Grind (just like rust or paint) when welding galvanized metal. It ain't healthy for you otherwise.
when is dad going to get you two new planters lol.
We used "creeper chairs" while working under aircraft that saves on the knees. Just a suggestion!!! Romans10:9
Is PA your son?
PA is not kin to them
Howdy triple r farms
