That's IT??? What about the part right after that? That's the most difficult part of the entire piece! How do you get the correct rhythm??? You're showing us the easy part. lol Can you please show us a little more?

Yea, I found most of you tube tutorials on this etude to be like this for some reason. Cutting on the hardest part.

This was the first etude I learned. I wrote out all the chords practiced 2 and 4 bar chunks left hand alone like crazy. When the left hand became like a machine I added the right and it fell right into place. This etude made my left hand stronger than the right. If you learn the chords all thru the piece it's easy to memorize .....also several sections are repeated footnote finergerings which makes learning sections easy also. I think this is a very weak tutorial

Thanks a lot for the tips, For the beginning left hand part, what is the arm angle for the passage? Is the elbow towards the body or away form the body?

How long would you practise the rhythm with the left hand for? Also what fingering would you advise in bar 56? I've got small hands and can't figure out whether to use 521 or 531. Thanks. Really enjoyed the tutorial.

Is it something wrong with your piano 2 white key? Seems like it collapse a bit.

I like the idea working on the left hand in groups or as a "wheel" and not as a whole run. I don't have the speed that the piece needs. But most of all What I do not understand is WHY IS THIS PIECE SO EASY TO MEMORIZE? Where as other Chopin pieces are not easy to memorize. What's up with that???

Its fairly repetitive. Throughout the etude there isn't a huge amount of change and only like 4-5 distinguished sections in the left hand. Right hand rhythmically gets spicier as the piece goes on too!
