Don't know why i am watching this, i'm just a beginner years away from being able to play this. But i was hooked from start to finish! I guess i just love this piece ^_^
This is a difficult peice and I’m just stating it and it isn’t as hard as it seems just the technique and the hops plus that quad chromatic scale is hard
Very helpful - some nice ideas about the detail. The LH taking the lower RH octave note after the mordents is a really good tip, especially for those of us cursed with short sausage fingers! Thanks.
I'm back & WOW!!! Better than what I remember, & it's only been 2 days! LOL I understand precisely what you're saying, & mine is starting to sound like yours! WOW!!! I'm so excited! lol But, you make it look a lot easier than what it is.
Hi can you help me? At 13:05 do you repeat whole chord or only D#? I've found both versions on yt and I'm not sure which one is right and how should I play it correctly (fingering). Sorry for bad English.

Instead of crossing the hands, I switch them. No crossing for me. Dorothy Taubman says crossing can cause injuries while practicing that over, and over again.
Thank you for this video? I am currently practicing the military polonaise. Is it possible for me to learn "heroic" next? Or wait another 2 to 3 years?
The Heroic Polonaise is definitely several notches higher on the difficulty scale than the Military. You can always try however, learn some parts and come back to it in a few years if it is too difficult!
Thank you for your comment! I believe I should choose some Chopin piece that is one or two notches more difficult than the Military. Do you have any recommendation for me?~
Sure, start when you want to but don't expect to play like Steven initially. Some of us have been praticing this piece for 40 years. The octave stretches are very demanding on your muscles so don't force them. Good luck!
Schreckliches Klavier. Tempo des Hauptthemas zu schnell. Pedal aufheben beim Reden. Rhythmus gut erklärt, aber sollte nicht so sportlich und harsch sein.
Show-pain

hahahahaha

you can do it, even if takes years!

You can play simplified arrangements
You are a really good teacher. I am practicing this piece because you make it easy to follow. Thank you.
4:12 How do you pedal that part? Ug!
What a perfect voice !!! the piano and your voice mess with the soul !!!
100 for your phrasing, you got the sense of Chopin.
Excellent explanation about the rithm of this Chopin' s masterpiece.
Thanks so much. Great Steven!
6:42 you mean no need to pay legato for the left hand ?

Currently I'm finishing the op.10 nr.12 , this piece is next on my list. Thanks for the helpfull advises.
Excellent ideas. Sounds more professional than mine. I pretty much just play the notes. Love your rhythm.

Thanks so much for sharing
Fascinating analysis -- thanks!
Thanks for this one Steven. Great work.
Your piano sounds great. Who is the maker? Great tips. I hope to learn to play this piece one day. I'm starting now. Maybe in a few years.
Did you learn this piece? I am thinking to start it now as well!

Hello Steven, I have been struggling with the main theme's fastly played f. Any tipes
Hey can you do a little help to understand the complexity musically and technically on the fantasie polonaise?
What is that book having "Chopin" in the cover?
Can you share some tips on pedal? I think most artist were using pedal in a very different way than what Chopin have labelled !
i also struggle with the pedal some time
The older generation of pianists used very little pedal.
Perfect pianist, thanks 🙏
10:59 Damn, that saved my life.
you saved me hundred bucks on a lesson. great tips!!!!
where's part 2???
Thanks you very much
Please go on long time.
what is the fingering for the 7 fast chords?
why is it important not to lose connection of 1-2-3?) you can play all the beginning as an improvisation
You make it look so easy. :(

Easy not?

I would consider learning any of the Walzes, or maybe the E major Étude op. 10 no. 3
The tristesse etude? Nice!
i think its been 2/3 years, are you read to tackle the heroic now?
11:40 hey it’s a waltz
You like jazz?
thank you
I'm here because I like this part of the song. Don't have a piano/keyboard :( ... yet.
MUITO BOM!
voce por aqui
Fingering for bar 14 please!!
Can you redo this lesson on your grand??? ;)
I am just 14 and trying to learn this. Isn't that bad idea?

I am 11 and I am trying to learn this, so shouldn't that be bad?
this is too hard for me can you teach the F# Minor one.
👏🏻👏🏻
Beard goes very good for you…
It is Staccato…some people want to play it faster and legato and THAT IS WRONG! , it is the way you do it STACCATO.
It’s not “shop-hein” but “shope-in”
Watch this on 2X speed... lmao
