I like how the MT 100, EVH 5150, PEAVY 6505, Soldano Gain settings are at 8, 9/10 and 11 and the rest of the amp settings were at or past noon for Gain. I bought the MT 100 and it sounds brutal in person. The Clean, Overdrive and Lead sound great!! All the amps sound killer and I love them all, but I think I'll stick with my MT 100.
That’s amazing that you took the time and energy to put this together. Very helpful. One suggestion tho if you could edit it in a way we could hear the MT100 right before each would have been really next level.
All these amps sound killer! That said, I'm waiting on a 6505 1992 from the next batch (fingers crossed for Jan '24), and so far, no comparison vid or demo has swayed me on that choice. Thanks for keeping this content coming! 🤘🎸🔥
Man, that SLO just sounds the meatiest and most dynamic of all of em. Can’t say I’m not impressed with the MT 100 though. At the price point vs some of these other high gain monsters, it’s a ripper! Can’t wait till my local shop gets one in for me to try. Great content as always, Kyle! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Amazing video, Kyle you are really consistent at getting a balanced tone and putting the mic at just the right spot. I wonder if the perceived differences in Bogner and Revv would have been even less if the presence and treble had been higher on them?
Tracked down and bought an MT100 last weekend. Took a little bit of dialing in, but absolutely IN LOVE with the Lead Channel. I got it where I want it. Mids and treb cooperating nicely to create this aggressive, throaty, nasty tone. Almost sounds like Ashes of the Wake with a little more low end balls on it. Filth.
Might be speaking for the minority here but that blackstar was incredible, has the quietest noise gate ever too. Just the perfect play time like it should
Its honestly crazy how similar most of these sound lol. I thought the Bogner sounded "The Best", but it honestly just sounds like what all othera would sound like with an OD to tighten them up anyway.
You managed to set all the amps to sound damn good, which makes for a rather difficult choice! My top 3 picks are the Bogner and Deliverance and Revv. The EVH and the PRS have insane price/quality ratio. I agree with another comment, I could probably dial in any of these beast to achieve a super satisfying hiGain tone, even without any added pedal! The Rectumfryer, Engl and Diesel are my least favorites on this video. Thanks Kyle, you rock!!🔥🔥🔥
This is one of the few vids that showcase the amps and they actually sound different to me. I swear a lot of the YT vids doing an amp shootout sound the same and the only difference is volume.
Were all the amp controls set at straight up Noon for this demo? Most of the amps sounded great and a few had some extra Bass to them and of course the ENGL sounded like an ENGL ( Great ) I wonder how all the amp features compare. Great job on the video.
SLO sounds crazy good. Has the amp been modded at all, or is it straight stock? I'm often not much of a fan of its tone (anywhere) but it sounds so good inside this vid.
Great video! I played the MT100 and it has amazing feel in the fingers. Verry chewy. I played at store volume so nit much chance for noise. H0w was the noise on your setup compared to the others.? I've heard it's something in the effects loop or whatnot ...let me know your thoughts..Thanks!
Honestly really surprised how close I can get my Archon 100 to what you're displaying here with the MT100 but I am utilizing an MXR Ten Band in the loop.
The Bogner ,SLO and EVH seem to tower over the others. Not that the MT100 sounds bad or anything. Sounds great. No I take that back, They all sound towering !!
The VHT had the best in your face punch with the 5150 gang right behind it. The MT and Rec’s were too thin/sterile for me and the Rev has some boxy mids I don’t care for. The Bogner was killer but the mids need to be pulled a little back imho. Killer as hell comparison, I guess I’m still just a VHT and 5150 dude.
Just a guess- more niche content like what he posts here might lead to less clicks on a larger portion of videos and less algorithmic support on the main channel if he bundled them all in one place.
I did some comparing of the MT against every other amp. From the VHT until the end of the video, every single one of those amps was recorded WAY louder than the MT. Louder always sounds better. Can you re-test?
Bogner, EVH, and Soldano sounded sick. The VHT seemed to have its own thing going on and sounded pretty damn mean as well. Blackstar wins for most effective noise gate.
Because part of the fun of these videos for me is experiencing the amps back to back and really getting familiar with their differences not only in sound, but in feel, which I think is just as important. If I was just reamping a DI for a bunch of different amps, I feel this probably wouldn't be as fun for me and I wouldn't end up making the videos
Kyle, I’m stealing pop-poo butt nugget. Great vid btw. Edit: I thought the amps that sounded the most distinctive or at least the most different were the Engl, VHT and the Diesel, which for my money sounded the muddiest and had the least gain but still was good. I was surprised how much the Mesa sounded like the Peavey.
I liked both the PRS amps, the Fryette and the Engl the best. I didn't care for the amps I typically like through that cab - most of the 5150 and Soldano type amps (other than the Stealth) sounded very harsh in the upper mids
I have no experience with the MT100 and am a PRS lover ... But there seems to be a lot of amp failures on this first run of the MT100 ... Hopefully it is just a start up glitch and they sort it out quickly
i have the 5150 iii 50 watt stealth 6l6 looking to get one of the el34 versions after doing the c137 mod to your 50 watt el34 5150iii is there much difference between that and the 100 watt el34
Very cool. I love how you do these comparisons. Not a lot of reviews i've watched on TH-cam are showing the MT100 to be the incredible amp we thought it was going to be these last few years. I would take the PRS archon, the 1992 Peavy, SLO or Bogner over the MT100
Why would I set the amps the same on gain when they all have wildly different amounts? That wouldn't make any sense at all. Dial with ears, not with eyes, always
Personally, I think the Engl Fireball sounded best, followed by the MT100, followed by the EVH 5150 III. It blew my mind how close the MT100 comes to the 5150 III and Dual Rec, but at a better price point, and I'm sure the MT100 beats them both on the clean and OD channels as well. I would like to see the MT100 compared to the EVH 5150 Iconic because I have a feeling the Iconic will more than hold it's own against the MT100 at half the price.
Love the channel Kyle buddy, but you gotta work on your upstroke and keeping movement as efficient as possible. You can still have a nice attack without beating your poor strings and guitars to death😂😂😂 Rock on brotha🤘🤘🤘
Honestly, I feel like the MT 100 hangs with most pretty damned well especially for it's level of versatility and for the price. The stand-outs for me are the SLO, the 6505 the VHT, and the Engle. While the Peavey runs about $1300 right now give or take, and the Engle goes for around $1900, they do not in my opinion have the same versatility of the MT100. The SLO and the VHT are obviously incredible but are considerably more and still (again in my opinion) don't have the lush cleans I find present in the MT100. Overall, I gotta say, I wouldn't mind owning the MT100 and probably will here in the near future.
When i got my MT100 i was kinda disappointed. It sounded so familiar, meaning i have amps that sound pretty dang close to it. I felt the same with the Engl Inferno by Marty Friedman. They are great amps but sound so close to many others. My bad cat linxs sound unique, Armored sabot, Revv120, Egnater Armageddon, heck the peavey invective 120 that i hate, but it has its own sound. Great amp, just not for me.
3:00 MT100

A hero that no one asks for, yet shines through.
sounds bucas but ok
Bogner Ubershall and the Revv 120 sounded the best. Thanks for the time stamps!!
The time stamps rocked, thanks.
@@CS-ru4xdsignificantly louder than some
That Diezel sound so heavy. I really do like the Engl Fireball and the MT100 too.

That’s amazing that you took the time and energy to put this together. Very helpful. One suggestion tho if you could edit it in a way we could hear the MT100 right before each would have been really next level.
Very good recording Kyle! I can really tell the difference in between each amp. The Herbert's low end is just so awesome!
we needed the blackstar!!! 🤣
Kyle, keep doing these tests, you are the best! Cheers!
Bro, they all sound good but the Soldano & VHT are wild! 😍
Soldano sounds incredible here for sure!
They all sound good... just the clarity from the soldano is second to none... the og...
Was really impressed with the MT! I can’t believe the 5150/6505 and sold and though, just incredible
All these amps sound killer! That said, I'm waiting on a 6505 1992 from the next batch (fingers crossed for Jan '24), and so far, no comparison vid or demo has swayed me on that choice. Thanks for keeping this content coming! 🤘🎸🔥

Another awesome video showing this huge palette of sounds for us to know and seek for!! Thank you, man!!
Clever putting the dual rec and Bogner back to back. It’s been said the archon is a blend of those two amps. Totally can see that now
Exaclty why I did it! Nice catch!
Might be speaking for the minority here but that blackstar was incredible, has the quietest noise gate ever too. Just the perfect play time like it should
😂😂😂
I'm always impressed by how pissed off a 5150/6505 sounds. VHT is a monster too. Also, this now my favorite amp video on the internet.
great comparison, i have an archon 100 and man i love that amp. through my speakers the mt100 sounds similar. good as im waiting on mine !
Favourites were the Soldano and Peavey. Nice comparison, thanks dude
6505 and Fireball had a different attitude than the others that I love, all sounded great in their own way though
It’s kinda crazy the slo and mt 100 are kinda similar which is my kinda sound for sure. That VHT sounded great too.
IMO
1) MT100
2) Archon
3) SLO 100 (Huge suprize for me. I haven't loved that amp in the past, but it sounded huge)
Thanks for drop tuning.
My faves are the Soldano, the VHT Deliverance, the Rectifier, and the Diezel
Poor Blackstar.
Great video Kyle!
editing mistake

The flavors are so different, but the EVH EL34, MT100 (and Archon by proxy), and Soldano really stood out. Fireball is a beast, too.
Volume differences change perception here too.. the recto is quiet vs others. We often perceive louder as better
This is one of the few vids that showcase the amps and they actually sound different to me. I swear a lot of the YT vids doing an amp shootout sound the same and the only difference is volume.
That revv is pretty sick to
love these comparisons!
Awesome comparison.
That Engl still tops it for me
I would love to hear how the all 3 mods of the MT100 sounds using the ENGL XXL cab and the 2x12 ENGL VB cab
They're all fine but Revv gen or some flavor of 5153 always takes the cake for me.
Thought most of them sounded great. The MT100 can definitely hang. The Bogner and Rectifier were a bit of a letdown. The ENGL sounds sick!
Today the Bogner sounds best to me, tomorrow?
The MT100 and the Archon seem very similar in tone, could you describe the differences if any that you hear when you did this Kyle? Thank you!
Were all the amp controls set at straight up Noon for this demo? Most of the amps sounded great and a few had some extra Bass to them and of course the ENGL sounded like an ENGL ( Great )
I wonder how all the amp features compare. Great job on the video.

Man that Peavey 6505 1992 sounds damn good! Is this the new one on the market?
The Engl Fireball 100 sound is my favorite in this video haha
Honestly really surprised how close I can get my Archon 100 to what you're displaying here with the MT100 but I am utilizing an MXR Ten Band in the loop.
They sound very similar to begin with
The Diezel is SOOO compressed, you can hear it "pop" whenever you hand lifts from the strings goes back to hit a new chord.
The Bogner ,SLO and EVH seem to tower over the others. Not that the MT100 sounds bad or anything. Sounds great. No I take that back, They all sound towering !!
Kyle awesome video! Please, can you do a Tonex capture for this amp?? PLEASE MAN!
Maaaaaan they all sound so good, I can’t pick a single one of them
What models were the Bogner and Diezel? Likes the SLO the best btw.
As always, peavey is king! That Mark Tremonti amp sounds mean tho
Killer video, thanks! ✌️
The Engl Fireball sounded the best to my ears.
Love ur content but dont understand why a second channel? Wouldnt the monetization be more efficient on one channel??
Just a guess- more niche content like what he posts here might lead to less clicks on a larger portion of videos and less algorithmic support on the main channel if he bundled them all in one place.
this, exactly
I did some comparing of the MT against every other amp. From the VHT until the end of the video, every single one of those amps was recorded WAY louder than the MT. Louder always sounds better.

Bogner, EVH, and Soldano sounded sick. The VHT seemed to have its own thing going on and sounded pretty damn mean as well. Blackstar wins for most effective noise gate.
This might be the best video to show why everyone loves Rectifiers, it was literally the only one that didn't sound 99% the same as every other amp.
That Archon sounds so close to the MT100, I couldn't tell them apart if blindfolded.
Hey Kyle, I wonder why don' you record a clean guitar and just reamp it to have a consistent playing though them all.
If I had the cash I'd get my butt to the Canadian guitar franchise Long & McQuade order this amp & the Archon 1 X 12 cabinet ASAP!
i was listening on good headphones and didnt notice the change from the 6505 1992 to the 5150 EL34... i was on my phone doom scrolling
Man, the sound of that Diezel!
Hey Kyle. What ever happened to the review of the Diezel Hagen? You had the live stream about it and then never heard anything after.
I still have it, just have a massive backlog to get through
the diezel and the rev are the stand outs for me
That engl seems like it would cut through a mix really well without even trying.
It sounds like a Recto with a TS boosting it....thats why you like it!!!
I liked the part with the amps
That Diezel owned. It sounded like Dry but easy to play somehow. What model is that?
Herbert
All were great; didn't care for the VHT( which was still good)
Why does that Mt-100 say Archon on the badge?
Kyle, I’m stealing pop-poo butt nugget.
Great vid btw. Edit: I thought the amps that sounded the most distinctive or at least the most different were the Engl, VHT and the Diesel, which for my money sounded the muddiest and had the least gain but still was good. I was surprised how much the Mesa sounded like the Peavey.

You say here we go and then I get an orio cookie commercial 😅
Are you reviewing the new Lichtlearm 150w Amp soon?
Yep!
if u make another comparison like this with MT100, please include Badlander 100 and EVH Iconic 80
I liked the amp with tubes the best.
What channel you use on Herbert?
Bogner/REVV (can't decide which one is better)
Archon is sounding super pleasant.
It hangs. But can’t decide if I liked the EVH or Soldano, maybe even the 6505 best.
MT100, PRS Archon 100, Evh 5159-3, Herbert sounded the best.
Archon, MT and EVH in that order.
I have no experience with the MT100 and am a PRS lover ... But there seems to be a lot of amp failures on this first run of the MT100 ... Hopefully it is just a start up glitch and they sort it out quickly
is it me or do the PRSs, the rectifier, the peaveys and the soldano sound very very similar?
Blackstar with the massive diss!!
Wasn't a diss, editing mistake
i have the 5150 iii 50 watt stealth 6l6 looking to get one of the el34 versions after doing the c137 mod to your 50 watt el34 5150iii is there much difference between that and the 100 watt el34
Yes, all the 50 watt models sound noticeably different from the 100 watt counterparts
Very cool. I love how you do these comparisons.
Not a lot of reviews i've watched on TH-cam are showing the MT100 to be the incredible amp we thought it was going to be these last few years.
I would take the PRS archon, the 1992 Peavy, SLO or Bogner over the MT100
The bogner was my favorite because it was the only one that didn’t sound like a can of 🐝
I would say this is mostly due to sm57 on a V30
This particular V30 was apparently very bright under a mic
Why is the gain on the MT100 only at 10 o’clock? The other amps gain is set higher..
I have the MT100 and the gain is massive and thick. The Bogner vs MT100 would be interesting..
Why would I set the amps the same on gain when they all have wildly different amounts? That wouldn't make any sense at all. Dial with ears, not with eyes, always
I didn’t say u set it with your eyes bro, it was a legit question. I was curious.
The MT100 is very compressed. I don't hate it, but it's really squishy compared to something like a Marshall.
If you put a mesa a bogner and archon in one sound u get the Mt100
That's not necessary a good thing
Personally, I think the Engl Fireball sounded best, followed by the MT100, followed by the EVH 5150 III. It blew my mind how close the MT100 comes to the 5150 III and Dual Rec, but at a better price point, and I'm sure the MT100 beats them both on the clean and OD channels as well. Perfect video
MT1000 and Archon sound almost identical and are very close to soldano.
Holy crap the herbert sounds so monsterous.... probably too big for a mix?
You think his rhythm good enough where you coukd take all these samples and layer them on top of each other?
I bet itd sound huge
No way, I played sloppy as fuck here
Love the channel Kyle buddy, but you gotta work on your upstroke and keeping movement as efficient as possible. You can still have a nice attack without beating your poor strings and guitars to death😂😂😂 Rock on brotha🤘🤘🤘
6505 and EVH for me but i guess thats just what i graduate to. Then rec and Tremonti.
No boost in this video right?
Time stamp someone please? (I'm too lazy)
I got u fam

Man the firball 100 is just insane....
