whoohoo....Wolfie's big adventure begins. I wis I had the confidence to take viv-i-van abroad. Until then I'll look forward to seeing byour adventures. Loving the graphics on the pods by the way and Wolfie feffo looks the part. Much respect 🙏- Kenny
Just recently came across your channel as I follow a few van lifers. It was your Peak District nasty side. That was linked. I noticed Maximus and recognised his difficulties and followed up with his story. Our neighbours have a son who we have watched from a baby who is a few years older and is even further along the spectrum still having virtually no communication and having mobility issues. As you stated it is important at whatever level to get an early diagnosis. I am classed as high functioning on the spectrum and have excellent masking skills which resulted in my diagnosis being delayed until 59. One thing I discovered in my teens which helped me a lot socially was the ability to Roleplay or act out a part. It is a skill that if Maximus can learn some of at any level he will find it helpful. It acts as a focus and a world where he has more control which helps with anxiety. I may be able to help with suggestions of how this can work at many levels.
@@traveling-taylors the easiest places to practice role playing skills are in role playing characters in online games, role playing games like D&D and live role playing or LARP as it is known (you can look up local clubs). After that there are re-enactment groups that do medieval or civil war roles. Lastly are theatre groups or drama schools. Being able to not be yourself when you have difficulty’s is a powerful tool. Those suggestions are ranked in order of difficulty of engagement. They can all be treated as more of a game than real life but they will help IRL. I hope you have many amazing trips in your van.
Surprised to see you didn’t get the automated passport control where you have to go into a booth. I have been informed that they are trialling it this summer! Have a fab time, can’t wait for the next video 👍
So happy to see the dream come to fruition! It's a good time to get away from home and have some fun in the sun. Enjoy yourselves making memories. Lisa (from Fusion-Southport)
