The Kraftwerks tune has gotten better but I think it’s probably optimized for sea level. I got mine installed but the tune I’m still having issues with mine. It runs better at the Dunes which is lower elevation than where I live but if I go into the mountains it stutters and bogs really bad. When you contacted PPEI did they want you to purchase a power commander and auto tuner as well? That’s what they want me to do.
Definitely great walk through! I’m building an off the wall build on my 19 pioneer LE. Kind of a short course type, was wanting to run an amr500 supercharger but being there’s no external drive I think I’m going with a gt15. It’s amazing how simple these kits seem! Definitely answered some of my “how” and “where” questions so thank you!

Glad I waited, was very disappointed in the poor quality of kit, having to relocate things , and parts not coming properly sized. template not correct. These guys had JR racing to help them figure out what not to do and they still got it wrong. Done a JR kit and installation was easy and perfect, fit like factory made. Had higher hopes for Kraftwerks

a little concerning that the KW tune was that bad. even the jackson tune was pretty bad when i got it but way better than that. but the kit looks good.

I have a 1000x4 LV, think I'm the first 4 seater they sold to, so I'm told! I also have a KWT particle separator, and seeing where the intercooler mounts it's obvious I'll have to make some adjustments to that. Thanks for the tips and the pointers, I'm nervous about the install but I'm sure it'll go well. How long did the install take you? Thoughts on the difference power wise? Thanks in advance!
It probably took us about 9 hours. But that was because we went and bought new header nuts and spent quite awhile getting the Intercooler brackets to work on the cage. Also did the afr and boost gauges at the same time. If I got the tips off this video it would have saved me about 2 hrs. Very noticeable power difference. Obviously way faster but also the motor sounds smoother and doesn’t have to rev so high to get around.
@@mikeoutdoors769 appreciate the quick reply! Is the boost gauge something you did for your own comfort/assurance or was this suggested? Also, 9 hours by yourself? I have a buddy joining in on the fun. I plan to rip things apart this weekend, this way when the package arrives Monday I can dive straight in. I suppose I can pull the airbox, exhaust/header, and skid plates to start.
Boost gauge is more for my curiosity. I strongly! Recommend an afr gauge. Then you can tell if there’s something going wrong and you can see any exhaust leaks almost instantly.

@@mikeoutdoors769 I was going to go with the Memphis audio but my installer talked me into a Wetsounds soundbar and 2-6.5" drivers under the dash. Great system but really expensive! You mentioned you recorded more video of the install? Please Share!!!!!

It’s been great. No issues and I love that as kraftwerks betters the product they send you the upgraded parts for free. I haven’t gotten a ton of time on it since we had some family stuff last year. But hoping to do more riding and make more videos soon.
Map from PPEI now costs $500.00. Not free like it sounds in this Video. Dyno Jet is not working on map files for turbos. PPEI has got you by the balls if you want your Talon to run right. Worth it? Hell yeah!! so much more power and still cheaper that the Jackson turbo.
@@ironwolph PPEI is a performance shop. If you download the instructions, they say that KW only supplies the base tune to get it running. The video makes it sound like PPEI is there to help. That was when they were just developing the turbo. Now PPEI charges $500.00 to get a map so it runs well and gets the shift points better. I contacted Dyno Jet, and they are not developing maps for turbo Talons, and I know of no other companies that would be able to help. I had the PV3 also. It's well worth the money to turbo the Talon. there is a big difference. Just do it and have fun.

@@mikeoutdoors769 showed about -8 at idle but it got to dark to see what the reading was. Still need to wire it. LOL. Definitely building boost because the power is a huge difference.

Hey there Mike. I know it's quite some time since did your install but quick question....my install went well, a little challenging doing it alone. Started right up, runs great but smoking quite a bit at idle. Any issues like this w your install? Thx.
@@mikeoutdoors769 I haven't yet but that's my next step. Temps are good, all fluid levels are good so we'll see what they say. I also have the tune from PPEI.
@@timothyborgmann9429 the crank vent, vents back into the intake. So hopefully you’re just seeing that get burned after it sits and drains into the cylinders. But please keep me in the loop. Love to learn from others
@@mikeoutdoors769 Hey Mike, so contacted Kraftwerks and Jason said to check the routing of the turbo oil return. Sure enough it was turned up against the firewall. Grabbed it, moved it downward and low and behold problem solved!

Around 6-7 before shifting. But they were real small dunes so it wasn’t really under load
Toys always need more power or to sound cooler.

How much boost can you run? What kind of horsepower can one expect with this kit? Does the tune adjust for the transmission as well?
The kit does 8 psi. Which is all the stock pistons can take. The tune does adjust the trans as well. I believe it’s around 158 hp

We T’d off the BOV vacuum line.

Some show vacuum till you build boost. Does it show boost once your driving?
