I had a 1985 model in the same colour. Mine had the older XY8 engine with twin webers, I thrashed that engine for years without it missing a beat.

Just got myself a TU engine and gearbox from a GT and wondered what the difference is from my original bog standard 1.4. Did notice the gearbox to be more peppy, and probably will put the intake and carb on mine eventually, beats the one-barrel I have.
