HR INTERN INTERVIEW QUESTIONS & ANSWERS (NO HR EXPERIENCE) • HR INTERN INTERVIEW QU...
In today's video, I am focusing on the best ways that you can prepare for your HR internship. Below is a description of what is included in each section of this video.
    Enjoy!
    What is your greatest weakness?
People see this as a tough question because they think it could steal their shot of landing the job but actually you can use this question to you advantage
    - Show you are aware of you weakness and show what you have done/what you want to do to overcome it
    - E.g. I have issues with confidence but I decided to start a TH-cam channel and put myself out there and people are really inspired by it.
    - This shows resilience, it shows you are willing to work on yourself because none of us are perfect.
    Why should we hire you?
    - Think back to all the keywords you highlighted in the job description and put these in your answer. Focus on these
    - They also want to know that you will be a valuable asset to the company
What major challenges and problems did you face? How did you handle them?
I would use SMART to answer these questions
(I will do a video on how I dissect one of these questions to help you further)
    Research the company culture
    - Search their social media accounts
    - Find out what their values are
    - Is there a project that interests you - dive deeper into that
    - Make sure their values align with yours
    - Show your passion to want to add to that company culture
Think of solutions of how you could add value to the company
    - At one of my interviews I wrote a list of the things I thought could potentially be improved in the company and how they can add my value
    - One of the roles was to be a HR systems and processes project manager and I saw through the website a number of things that could have been done to improve their efficiency down to small things like their social media accounts. How can we promote ourselves more, surveys on how staff feel that HR is currently and how we can improve etc.
    - Think outside the box this will show that you are willing to add value in the company.
    Key takeaways
    - Prepare and practice common interview questions
    - Research the company
    - Think of solutions as to how you could provide value to that company
Next time on secure that job! The best questions to ask at the end of the interview

hey, thanks for this video, it was really helpful. I have a question though; i am currently a sophomore in high school, do you recommend any classes or study material to help prepare me for a career in human resources?

HI, thank you so much for watching. I am glad the video has been useful to you. I would recommend taking any HR classes that may be on offer as this will give you an insight into the profession and allow you to see whether you would like to progress further. I also recommend looking into SHRM ( Society for Human Resource Management) as there are numerous resources such as articles, podcasts and fact files that you can access to help you to understand the profession in more depth. There should also be links to potential courses that you could join to help you understand the profession. I would also recommend you watch other TH-camrs who discuss HR related topics such as Chantenique, Heyyy HR and Carmen GilFraguada as they have been in the profession for sometime and offer great tips and advice to help you if preparing for a career in HR. I hope this helps.
