It’s weird, bowling in both of those games was better than here, from the looks of it. 51 Worldwide games has a lot more minigames than those though. Though you’re right, it is over a decade later, and the individual mini games in Wii sports Resort still felt more lively.

It feels like they went for a very minimalistic way of making these mini games, which is fine to keep things from being overcomplicated, but some extras or details in the background, like the people sitting behind you, or the fact that in wii sports resort you can actually find the bowling place in the city, or stuff like that, were always cute in the Wii sports /resort And I don’t mean that only for Bowling as well. For example the miniature golf in 51 is pretty cute, and has the exact maps as the original wii sports from top down, however it gets old pretty fast, while in Wii sports it also didn’t keep you forever, it definitely felt it had more longevity. Plus all the speedruns of it, that wouldn’t work in 51. What I’m saying is, they really need to make a Wii Sports Resort Remastered
You should see their "Speed" gameplay(still on the same stream, Okayu was slowing down on purpose to make Korone not losing so badly.....and goes full power afterward lmao.

I know exactly the problem korone is having, the game kinda fucks up when you don't properly hold the trigger from a "neutral" position so the result is a weak throw/throw resetting. For the curving it's just a matter of practice, after a few games you adjust yourself
For me it's not the first time I've seen the control problems. Miniminter played this before with Randolph and the first time they played this bowling game, they have a lot of issues with the controls as well.
It's not poorly programmed. It just react like real bowling. You spin the ball with spinning your hand like in real bowling. If you don't hold your hand in the same position while swinging down you'll get a spin and most people turn the hand a little left or right during the swing and get a spin. same like in real bownling, turning your hand while swing down will produce a spin. The controller react in 3d, not 2d like a joystick or mouse and that is what most people forget. I wish they would use controller with weight and design like the WII used for VR Headsets and not that flimsy controllers with the big ring the oculus have.
The Switch doesn't have the Wii's infrared pointer system or decent accelerometers so the motion controls... kinda suck ass. The joy-cons especially so.
