Well, if you ever plan to learn Japanese, you probably couldn't have a better situation unless you spent part of your life in Japan and/or being taught Japanese already. Watching VTubers makes Japanese easier and more enjoyable, serves as a good progress check based on how much you can understand over time (especially since big fans rewatch certain videos a lot, that has helped me understanding certain grammar points really well, better than any textbook could teach them), and it also makes VTubers themselves more enjoyable. I mean, just to give an example, it's both helpful for memorizing, and satisfying to know that when Subaru says "Donarudo janai yo", she isn't just saying "I'm not Donald", she's using "Donarudo janai" to mean "Not Donald", while "yo" indicates that a statement is being made that goes against something that the person or people being spoken to said or think. It makes it easier to understand the "yo" particle getting such memorable context of her shouting at the audience that she isn't Donald Duck, but it also makes it more enjoyable knowing what she is truly saying, not just the translation.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m so very happy these two have each other. Doing this kind of work can be exhausting. Having a friend to share it with is incredibly valuable, especially when you both enjoy doing it together and like each other’s company. And in the end, the viewers get to witness that chemistry, which makes their experience all the better.
