i’m reading this for school right now and these videos help me so freaking much!! can you please read more soon because i’ve been assigned more chapters due soon that you haven’t read yet?
Thank you so much 😭 I'm a highschool junior reading this book for a college class and your recordings make life so much easier. I can work on other homework or clean rest while listening to my book instead of sitting there for hours and reading (I have ADHD and love books but hate reading). Also you point out lots of things as you read it and provide commentary which helps me with my assignments. Youre literally a lifesaver my guy 🫶
thank you so much bro for really caring about doing this and not just reading in a monotone voice. you made this book so fun to read and i appreciate it
Yes!! You get it. Tried to bring a little energy and excitement to the reading. Something you couldn’t get from Audible or that narrator in your head when you read solo. Thanks for commenting and letting me know!
Hey my pleasure! It was fun to read and just be real with everybody while experiencing an amazing story. Best of luck and I hope you get a good grade as a result! 😇
i really enjoy all of his commentary throughout the book, really brings another aspect and some realness into the book and isn’t monotone and boring like others!
Please keep reading! I love your voice and I too have to finish this book for school very soon!! We love you. This is the only way I am truly able to understand these books! #NewSubscriber
Kayla that’s really sweet of you to say, thank you. I pledge to keep reading to the end! Seems like lots of people have assignments about the book right now and this “dramatic reading” of it is helping you guys so stay tuned for more chapters by next week at the latest!! Thanks again for the feedback! 🙏
Really appreciate the audiobook. Reading this book for school, but I think if I wasn’t listing while reading I wouldn’t understand or be as invested as I am. Even when I wasn’t listening I was still quite interested. These videos helped so much and made reading less dreadful🙏
So awesome to hear that this made reading easier and more enjoyable, Patato (great screen name)! 🤝 Hope you enjoyed the rest and that you ace your assignment for school! 🏫
My pleasure. Thanks for commenting and letting me know this is having a positive impact for you. Best of luck on the test and let us know if you have any questions!
It's amazing that this was posted 5 months ago because four months ago in January I started college and the semester is almost over and my final research paper what is on this book I've been so busy moving but I haven't had time to sit down and read the book. So this is very convenient. I just wanted to say thank you. So thank you so much!
Wow, the universe aligns us! I got you, Jason. Hope you enjoyed listening to the rest of my “performance” of the tale (and my can’t help myself occasional commentary throughout). Thanks for posting and good luck on your paper!
Listening to this for school and your videos are making me love and enjoy this story thank you so much! Also Tony Bennett was mentioned in this chapter may he rest in peace 🕊️
I’m doing this for school work particularly essays and the way you talk and emotions to the words help a lot you make reading time more enjoyable thank you for your readings 😊
Awesome. Glad those two aspects of my performance help you (I hoped they would). Thanks for letting me know. I wish you best of luck on your essay! You can do it! Drop a comment if you have any questions on a particular chapter as you write! ✍️
I am still enjoying this story. He had a dog named Buck and he was a big fan of Call of the Wild. He probably thought if Buck his dog when ever he read that story. You are doing a wonderful job reading this story to us! I am having fun reading along with you.
Yeah I caught that reflected too. I plan on reading Call of The Wild on this channel once I finish the current two books I’m reading now - The Giver + Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH.
Ah yes! They love to assign this one. Well GOOD because it’s an important story and it’s really well written by Mr. John K and I try my best to do the reading justice. Good luck! 👍
You are quite welcome, Rebecca! Lots of people listening to this one so I wanted to give an extra dose to those trying to get this done for school assignments etc! 😅🙏
You got this! Here for you! Enjoy the rest and hope my occasional reactions and comments help jumpstart any writing assignment you have on this! Cheers!
Yes!! Thanks for doing that math for us! I love it when viewers/subscribers help enrich the content with extra stats/info like this. Appreciated and you are most welcome to post stuff like that (if you feel like it) for other chapters or other stories I read on here that might be of interest to you. Cheers!
Thank you so much for this 'audiobook', Nick! Unlike most people here in the comment section, I don't have to read this for school (the book doesn't even have a translation in my native language) but I heard of it from a friend and got really curious. I looked it up and that's how I found your readings of it. I'm taking Into the Wild pretty slowly (that's just how I am with audiobooks) but the masterful writing of Jon Krakauer combined with your narration is really a perfect match! Once I finish Into the Wild, I'm defenitely going to try more of your dramatic readings. I saw you've done a reading of His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik, so perhaps that will be my next one. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very very much for taking the time to not only hang out on my channel but also for writing such a thoughtful note. It is noticed and appreciated! This is definitely the kind of book that can do well with being digested slowly, so I hope you enjoy it. Just wait until you get to Chapter 16! It gets WILD! 😜 Yes definitely check out some of my other dramatic readings and let me know what you think! It’s great to connect with other people who enjoy these authors and their stories, well told!
I am in middle school and I happen to be a bit dyslexic so reading is very slow and strenuous for me, but I just want to let you know that your readings really help and I encourage you to keep doing it. (Ps) I’m a piano player and I have been playing for about 6 years. I love to play jazz piano but I am also a big fan of the classics. Just finished learning the third movement of moonlight sonata and started la Campanella
Thank you very much for commenting and sharing! It’s an honor to be able to read this book with you/for you. It’s been a great reward to hear from students like yourself that are like, “I have the book, I want to read the book, it’s just HARD to get through on my own!” You are the kind of people who keep me going and make me want to help by reading books for academic/educational use. I’m so glad you found my channel and I hope you do well on your assignment for this amazing story. PS - I’m glad to hear you’re a jazz piano player! I took lessons when I was about your age for only a couple years and I regret not sticking with it. Keep at it! Thanks again and drop me a comment when you get to the last chapter and let me know what you think! Cheers!
Ah the overworked teacher, the inflexible (but somehow totally smart and empathetic genius) student, and the parent with enough pride and free time to come down to the school and complain. Take as old as time.
Right? And this really happened. Amazing when truth is, like, stranger than fiction, as they say. Thanks for the feedback and responding to the material. Cheers.
I don’t know if that’s exactly what the author is trying to imply from the story but hey, that’s what your impressions were. Thanks for listening and for sharing your thoughts!
Ha ha thanks for commenting and for the vote of confidence!! I’ll at least give you a good telling of the book and share some light commentary that hopefully you can use for any assignment you got on this! 😂
